Are you ready for Day 4? Here we go:

Day 4: Strike Up a Conversation

Yesterday we talked a bit about prayer: open prayer, honest prayer, and starting to pray Bible verses back to God. Prayer is THE BIGGEST KEY to walking in the manifest presence of God.

Today we’re going to continue learning about prayer, but it’s going to be a little different kind of prayer. We’re going to strike up a conversation with God about the seemingly ho-hum parts of your day.

Talking to God about mundane things has become one of the most powerful things I do to stay aware of God’s presence.

    Here’s how to do it:

Things you could talk to God about:

    • If you’re going to put laundry in the washer, tell the Lord, “Father, I’ve got to put this laundry in. Would you help me do it quickly and easily?”
    • If you start to work on a new project at work, say, “Father, would you help me complete this project quickly and accurately? And let it be fun?”
    • If you’re going to write a blog post, ask the Lord to write it through you. (He is the Creator, you know; He can cause His creativity to flow through you, and the result will be better than you could imagine!)
    • If you have to clean the house and don’t want to, just pray, “Father, I have got to get this house cleaned up. I really don’t feel like doing it. Would you give me Your motivation and inspiration to get it done right now?”

The first time I did this, I was in college. I had to write an essay, and I asked God to literally write it through me. He did; I could sense His ideas and His flow. And that essay got published!

When you start to pray this way, you will also see God answer. By striking up a conversation with Him, you’re giving Him permission to be actively involved in your day.  He loves that because He loves to hang out with you. You’re His favorite child.

So this is your assignment for today. Start including God in the tiny parts of your day.

Make it a point to ask Him for help.

Then notice when He answers, and thank Him for it! The help you got wasn’t a “coincidence.” The easy flow you experienced in that task wouldn’t have “happened anyway.” Your answer was directly from God!

The more you include God in each part of your day, the more you will sense His presence with you. You will see Him at work alongside you, and you’ll start to feel His companionship.

Exciting, right? I’ve been doing it for awhile and it still thrills me to have God Himself, my Daddy, walk alongside me and help me with every part of my day!

How are you doing so far? I’d love to hear how your first three days are going, and even how Day 4 is impacting you.

Please leave a comment below and share your experience so far… and have a great day hanging out with your Heavenly Father!

    1. I love reading these. It’s back to basics. Sometimes we make simple things complex and harder than God intended. Living everyday with Jesus. It’s simple and basic, yet profound things happen when we do this. Thanks for writing, sister.

        1. Patricia Harris says:

today I was on the 4th day, conversating with God this one was exciting from beginning to end because by the leading of the Holy Spirit and things that I’ve been going through that’s how my life been and I felt my Father’s presence from the beginning to the end! Unknowingly, letting God teach me, through His Spirit In Me I felt, Yes,I felt his presence at the beginning and all through this lesson because it’s something that I use all the time and I thought I was crazy but God, let me say that again but God gives you the man of God to confirm that he works in me, through me but it’s all God, He lives in me His “DUNAMIS” power of God. TO GOD BE ALL GLORY !!!

    2. Joshua sweatt says:

I like this so much and I tried it when I was mowing grass. I asked the Lord to help me mow it. And it turned out great. So I wanna make this habit for every task. Thanks so much God bless you.

      1. Wow. That’s awesome. That’s exactly right. Thank you for sharing and for reading too!!! Have a great day!!!

    3. Maria Dimba says:

This is great you know, talking to God makes your life easier. You can do a lot of things without noticing. It is true God do wonders.

    4. Maria Sekgetho says:

Jamie wow! I love every piece of work your doing and I get blessed and revived everytime as I am reading this especially talking with the Father even on small things or tasks do matter a lot to Him. May the good Lord enlarge your territory day by day

    5. This 4th day was the most difficult, I think. Looking back at this day, I know I failed so many times to involve God in my life with “everyday things”. I feel this will be a process of learning and growing. But I want it, to share everything with my Heavenly Father.

    6. This series is great. Help me to come closer to PAPA GOD.

    7. Wow, this is great. I am going to involve Daddy in everything I do now. So blessed. Thanks Jamie . God bless you for the good work

    8. Thankyou……I will have to ask God to remind me to do this……..it is not easy to remember this but it will become a good habit….thanks Jamie…Im looking forward to the results of asking God to help in everything I do……blessings

    9. I really love what you say about including God in the small tasks of our day, god is really deepening my understanding of how much he loves me, that he cares about the tasks and the little things and we can talk to him about them. Not only can we talk to him about these things, but he wants us to do it, that really boggles my mind!

    10. Brooke Coleman says:

I am grateful for a God who ever so persistently loves me!

I have certainly felt attacked by the enemy as I have started this 21-day journey, and many distractions to pull me away from spending time each day doing these exercises.
ALL THE MORE REASON I WILL SING PRAISES TO OUR FATHER. May the words from my lips and the work of my hands bring GLORY TO OUR KING.

I know I must do this work, I must keep seeking and keep praying and remembering what I have learned from days 1,2,3 and today. Thank you God for sending me this word from Jamie!

    11. Jaime, I have learned more from your ministry in a week than I have in 20 years of searching and seeking. You have simplified God yet showed me how powerful and awesome He is. Since the first time I watched you pray and decree on a video, I have been inspired and hungry for more. I have no idea how the video showed up.

I am only on Day 4 on “21 Days to manifest presence” and this alone is Life Changing. I have been jumping around in your website and everything is good. Thank you Jaime! Your love for God is contagious!!!

      1. Carolyn, I agree completely! I’m blown away at the simplicity and ROCK SOLIDNESS of Jamie’s teaching. I pray protection over this ministry & thank God for it every day!

    12. Mamahlohonolo Peko says:

Yesterday morning I was working in the garden. There’s some sandy soil I need be removed to the back of the house. I loudly told the Lord that I realy need someone to remove it. As I was busy in the garden I saw some gentleman. He came’ straight to me and ask if I could give him some work. God is great and always present.

    13. Laureen Vooys says:

I was in prayer with a prayer partner this morning and she brought forth the scripture Malachi 3:16. This scripture fits in perfectly with what you have shared here in Day 4. I make it so complicated and yet the Lord is right there listening, waiting. We serve an amazing God.

    14. I am experiencing a calmness and peace that I know comes from Him. By comparing my emotions from last Sunday to today my emotions are considerably different. I praise God for His peace and I thank Him for His presence. This is day 4 and as I learned on day 2 how God’s presence is everywhere I have watched my mouth and what comes out of it. I am more focused on speaking blessings over my life and my children. I am careful to speak positively over my situation too. Day 3, I revised Psalm 55:22-23 and Psalm 86:11-17 and applied my name wher there was an “I” or “me”.

I feel so connected to Him. I feel different. I don’t feel as hopeless as I had been. I feel more encouraged and inspired.  I am even writing a song. I am so happy that I am experiencing Him in this way. Years ago I asked God to reveal Himself to me. I wanted to know Him on a more personal level. Oh boy is He answering my prayers!
