January 2015 Blog Report & Prayer Request

LIVE webinar: What It Takes to Develop a $100,000 – $1,000,000 Income Blogging|May 18, 2024

Presence Seekers University signupDear readers,

I wanted to give you an update on the status of the blog as of the end of the month of January. I plan to do this each month going forward.

Traffic goals:

For January, my goal was to reach people 50,000 times with the message of Jesus. That’s 50,000 pageviews in techno-speak. And TOGETHER, we met and exceeded that goal, coming in at a whopping 57,846 pageviews for the month.

Thank you. You helped make it happen; I couldn’t have done it alone. Every time you read and share, it makes a huge difference. But most of all, I praise our Father for this. Only He could have made it happen. Thank You, Daddy. I’m so grateful.

Other notes for January:

We also accomplished some other key things in January:

1. I turned my daily update email list into the new Presence Seekers University, and I’ve already sent out your first equipping assignment and a significant, exclusive prophetic word to all of you lovely Presence Seekers via that list. (If you haven’t already signed up, click the link in the yellow box below to do so.)

And by the way – I got a ton of emails about that most recent prophetic word I sent via email. Thank you! I’m so glad it blessed you. I’m sorry I can’t respond to emails individually, but I read them all immediately and I was so encouraged to know the Lord encouraged you. 🙂

2. I also am in the process of changing hosting providers, which should make the site run faster. That transition will be completed over the next couple of days.

3. I turned over management of my ad space to a third party management company. That’s why you see more ads on the left, and one at the top. There are still some kinks we’re working out, as we come to agreements about where ads are ok and where they’re not (I’ve asked them to remove ads that cover my images inside of posts), so please be patient with me as we get things worked out. But overall, they are doing a good job with my ad space.

Why do I run ads?

Two reasons: Because blogging is very expensive. The emails I send every time new content is posted aren’t free; it costs a lot of money each month to send emails that are in compliance with U.S. federal law. And there are loads of other costs that come with running a website, such as hosting, anti-spam software, and you name it. I cannot afford to pay these expenses out of my family budget. Product sales help, and I am SO SO SO SO SO grateful for every product you purchase–thank you!!!–but there are many months when product sales don’t cover the costs either. So I need a reliable stream of income that pays the expenses every month, and ads will help with that.

The other reason is that Jesus told us to do business until He comes. (Luke 19:13: The word “occupy” means “do business.”) He expects me to be a good steward and to conduct business wisely, and that means I must be an astute businesswoman. And doing what I can to help the blog pay for itself is simply good business.

The ads by themselves do not yet pay all my expenses, or compensate me for any of my time. But they help, and I’m hoping the third-party management company will do a much better job at curating them than I could.

Goals for February:

I have some fantastic content scheduled for February. I can’t wait to roll it out to you.

My traffic goal for February is 60,000 pageviews. That may not seem like a stretch, but actually it is because there are 2 fewer days in February. I can’t do this alone, but we can do it together.

So thank you in advance for every share, retweet, repin, and email forward. THANK YOU. Together, we’re reaching lots and lots of people with the encouraging words of Jesus.

And something I would ask you to pray about:

I am currently working the equivalent of three jobs: one full-time (my corporate job) and two part-time (writing this blog, which takes massive hours every week, and volunteering at my church in our prophetic & deliverance ministries, which takes additional massive amounts of time every week). That doesn’t count being a wife, keeping a house, spending time with my husband, taking care of my health, etc.

And I simply can’t do it anymore. Working so much is starting to impact my health, and as we talked about in the priorities discussion here, something’s got to give.

My husband and I sat down with my pastor/spiritual dad recently and talked about the situation. We asked for his advice, since he knows me well and knows what I’m called to do (which is to preach, write, and minister prophetically).

We all agreed the situation isn’t sustainable, and we agreed upon several solutions:

First, I need to start raising partnerships so I can become a domestic missionary.

I haven’t made the initial roll-out of the program yet, since I’m not sure exactly what it will look like. But in the near future, I will be rolling out a partnership program which, by the grace of God, will enable me to dedicate myself to the work of the Gospel full-time.

As a domestic missionary, I’ll be able to dedicate the time to this blog that you deserve, answering more comments and emails, reaching more people, but will also be spending a significant amount more time volunteering at my church and serving the people of God there.

There’s a missionary aviation ministry here in Tennessee that flies mission teams to and from Latin America for absolute free in a jet. They fund the jet, the pilot, and all expenses by asking people to partner with them for $8 per month. That’s it. Just $8 – but they achieve massive results because $8 a month from a lot of people adds up.

My pastor, my husband, and I felt that that’s what I should do also. Eight is the number of new beginnings, and I’m pouring my life into helping people find new beginnings of hope and victory in Christ Jesus.

So I’m going to be asking people everywhere who read my blog: Would you prayerfully consider partnering with me financially for $8 per month?

I’ll provide more details shortly about the partnership program. But in the meantime, if you would pray about it, I would be grateful. I’ve spent a long time praying for the Lord of the harvest to thrust out laborers into His harvest field, and at this time, I’m asking Him for a miracle to thrust ME out into His harvest field. 🙂

Secondly, I would like to teach more workshops at local churches.

I currently have four powerful equipping workshops:

  • A three-session workshop on intercession;
  • A four-session workshop called Kingdom Authority 101;
  • The four-session Keys to Supernatural Favor; and
  • The 10-session Intro to Dreams, Visions, Tattoos, and Strange Events (which I have taught at my local church, but I haven’t released the audio for that yet).

The material in these workshops is life-changing. If you would like to bring any of these messages to your local church, would you contact me to discuss? I’d be privileged to share the Word of God with your people in this manner if you’re interested in having me do so.

There’s more, but that’s all I am prepared to roll out for today. Thank you again for your prayers, support, encouragement, social media shares, emails, comments, hugs, and more. I adore you all in the Spirit–even those of you I don’t know!–and I am so grateful for you.

Love in Christ,

Jamie

  1. Jamie, I’m glad you were able to sit with your husband and spiritual father and be really real about what you can and cannot do. I think your idea is a great one. You have already radically changed my life and my husband’s. We will pray about supporting you; I can already tell you, God would have to throw up a really BIG road block to keep us from committing! You’re a huge blessing and I am so glad God led me to your blog! I will pray for many, many others who feel the same way I do to also commit and thus free you to full time ministry. We love you right back!

    1. Thank you so much, Heidi. I praise God for blessing you. I cherish your words of encouragement and, if the Lord leads you to partner with me, I will be very grateful. 🙂 Thank you so much for reading today! Have a wonderful day!

  2. I am in with partnering with you financially! God bless you and all that he has plan for you to do!

  3. Thanks for letting us know what all you are involved in. Wow! It helps us to know better how to pray for you. I’m thankful your pastor could help you and your husband know how to proceed to help you better serve and be in health at the same time. I appreciate your ministry and it has helped me to a better life. It would be an honor to partner with you in this endeavor. Thank you for being you.

    1. April, thank you. Thank you so much for your prayers and sweet encouragement. I so appreciate you and I am grateful for your partnership and for being my sister in Christ too. 🙂

  4. Jamie, prayed and talked with my husband and we will BOTH be partnering with you as you have blessed us both in our marriage in addition to the amazing changes God has made in my life since I have been receiving your lessons and encouragements. We thank you so much. God bless you and I will be praying for more partnerships for you.
