Prophetic Transition Is Occurring; Be Aware

Prophetic-Transition-Is-Occurring-Be-AwareI believe we’re in a season of prophetic transition. I plan to write more on Friday about how you can get the most out of your season of prophetic transition; but for today, I wanted to give you a few tips that will help you pick up on what God may be doing in your life right now.

1. Watch for prophetic signs, such as when you start seeing a particular set of numbers over and over.

Learn what the numbers mean in the Bible. God often speaks using numbers, and He does so using the interpretation found in His Own Word.

I find that He often alerts me to what He’s doing in my life using numbers. For example:

Last week, He began to show me 11:11 or 1:11 all over the place–on clocks, etc. The number 11 means prophetic and transition, and the number 1 means God, and doubled anything (as in 11:11) speaks of a thing that has already been established. So God used those numbers to tell me He was transitioning me. (And God works seasonally across His entire Body, so what He’s doing for me is what He’s doing for you too. Read 2 Corinthians 1:4 for more.)

However, I wasn’t paying attention very well, so that’s why tip #2 is so important:

    2. Listen to the prophetic words God sends you.

Put them all together and see what the themes are. This week, my pastor sent me a prophetic word about transition also. I was already aware of transition going on from the numbers I had been seeing, but I had taken it kind of lightly and hadn’t let it sink in. I hadn’t begun to pray about it or anything like that; I just thought, “Oh, transition; that’s nice.” #facepalm

But when my pastor sent me that word, it got my attention. I was like, “Whoa–okay, God, You’ve been talking and I haven’t been listening. Okay. What’s going on? Of what do I need to be aware?” and I began to really pray into it (which is, of course, the correct response to any prophetic word). 🙂

    3. Put it all together and look for themes.

God doesn’t speak for no reason. He speaks because He wants to tell you something important. And even though He speaks all the time, we have to pay attention and dig into what He’s saying in order to get the most out of it. That’s why He says, in Proverbs 25:2:

Start-quoteIt is the glory of God to conceal a matter, but the glory of kings is to search out a matter” (Proverbs 25:2).

So pay attention right now. Watch for:

    • Verses of Scripture that have jumped off the page into your heart recently. What has God been telling you?
    • Godly counsel. What do your leaders tell you that they see in your life regarding what God is doing, what you’re going through, etc?
    • Prophetic words people send you or that you see from reputable prophetic voices.

(If you don’t know where to find reputable prophetic voices, start with The Elijah List, especially its Facebook page. The Facebook words are short and very, very relevant. Also, one of my favorite prophetic voices is Doug Addison, who has a HUGE gift for discerning times and seasons–the anointing of the sons of Issachar. I highly recommend following his blog and Twitter account.)

When you put the things together that God is saying, look for themes. God tends to repeat Himself until we get it! 🙂 So what is He saying? When you notice what God is saying, then you will be able to prepare yourself for what He is doing.

On Friday, I’ll write more about how to make the most of prophetic transition. So be sure to check back Friday.

Have you been seeing God speak to you using signs and prophetic words? If so, what’s He saying to you?

    1. Jamie you’ve spoken about numbers before. Can you elaborate on their significance please? Or point me in the right direction? Thank you.

    2. Laurna Tallman says:

God speaks to different people in the language that they can understand. Numbers don’t move me because I have seen people become sidetracked in them, using the numbers that pop up superstitiously. I don’t usually pay attention to the stars, either, other than for their awesome beauty. However, this past week, stepping into the pre-dawn night lit with a full moon in the west and a glorious conjunction of planets in the east was a reminder of the time when God said to me : “You will see wonders in the sky and at my feet.” To which I replied, “The earth is your footstool, Lord.” The first time He spoke in this way I saw a lunar eclipse, sun dogs, the Halle-Bopp comet and a conjunction of Venus and Regulus when the planet was at its closest approach for hundreds of years: a stunning wonder in the sky. That was at the beginning of my discoveries that culminated in Daniel’s healing from schizophrenia and my mission to teach people how to heal their ears. This time, I was en route to taking Alex, now in a wheelchair and aphasic from the stroke he suffered in August, to sign out for the last time on the jail sentence so unfairly imposed on him. His weekends in hospital were counted as weekends in jail-time served and he was on house arrest that last weekend. We made that trip bathed in silvery light. A few weeks before, we saw the lovely lunar eclipse despite cloud cover in most of the surrounding area. Two nights ago, Dick saw a spectacular exploding comet. Life is not easy. This is a time of suffering and upheaval for us. But the glory of God transforms our suffering, turning it to good not only for us but for others. Thank you for sharing your sense that this time of change is not just upon our family but upon the Kingdom of God.

      1. That’s gorgeous, Laurna! I love the way Daddy God speaks to different people in different ways–ways that are so personal and meaningful to each child! This is just beautiful. Thanks so much for sharing!

    3. Jamie….where would one go to find out what the numbers mean? You say the “number 11 means prophetic and transition, and the number 1 means God, and doubled anything (as in 11:11) speaks of a thing that has already been established” but how do you know this? If you could explain this a bit further I would so appreciate it!
      God BLESS you.

    4. Numbers have been coming across my path of late too in regard to devotionals and blog posts. I’ve not heard of this before until a few months ago. I echo the other comments here and ask for some instruction.
How too can we be sure that this isn’t a subtle form of numerology?
I know God does use numbers and He has used 3 particular numbers in my personal life. I am trying to embrace what God has for me but being careful at the same time to not be duped.
God bless you and thanks for posting your messages!

      1. Hey Joan, you are absolutely right. We want to look to Scripture and only to Scripture to learn to hear God. That being said, remember that “numerology” simply means the study of numbers. We want to learn Biblical numerology and shun anything New Age, since New Age numerology and other occultish perversions of numbers are strictly from the evil one. But we do definitely want to understand God’s use of numbers in Scripture. That being said, check out today’s blog post, because I … (might have released my teaching notes about this subject)… 😉
Thanks for reading and asking! You are wise. Isaiah 8:20 – Everything we hear and learn must be tested against God’s Word!

    5. This may be a silly question but how exactly do you pray into or for a personal prophetic word you’ve been given? I have some
really good and exciting ones and I have prayed about them, but I don’t know if I’ve prayed like I should. Thanks in advance!

    6. Hi Jamie!
God usually speaks to me through dreams, I’ve had quite the handful of prophetic dreams. Lately God has been drawing me to not so much numbers but text and single words. Hes been drawing me to the word Love. Everywhere. And innocence, learning patience. I write down notes and prayers on paper, and he continually guides me to no fear, and then love and also protection on top of it. Im going through a strange point in my journey, not knowing exactly what to do or where to go. I get pretty frustrated. My environment isn’t healthy. So i feel at a lot of times things are closing in. But when i pray and talk to Jesus he immediately points to Love. The huge thing I’ve been focusing on for everyone. I’m surrounded by non believers which is difficult for a new born again. So I have to admit Jesus is guiding me to LOVE without limits. LOVE thy enemy at all costs. No matter what. And practice the same patience and understanding and LOVE with others who persecute us. Its tough. But Lord God speaks to me all the time, everyday in fact, and through dreams. Thank you for this share! It’s comforting knowing I’m not the only one with prophetic gifts in our glorious body. Thank you Jamie for this post! You are so very blessed! You have lifted quite a bit of my confusion ! GOD BLESS YOU! ! !

    7. I too have been seeing 11:11 almost everyday for months now! I began to think that I was becoming conditioned to looking at the clock at that particular time. It crossed my mind that it may be God but I did not know what He was saying. Transition……I will look further into the matter.

    8. Somebody else was wondering the same going in wondering. ..and that is what do we do when we find out what God is telling us? Just be still and know he is God? that had been the topic of my last 7 months. Or am I supposed to be fighting for something? I already believe it is there something else I should be doing?

    9. The Lord has put the words fight and wait and the number 14 over and over again in my path since January. Exodus 14:14 has come up in so many different ways. Would you mind giving me your take on it? Thanks!
