7 Prayers That Will Stabilize Your Emotions and Bring You Peace by Jamie Rohrbaugh | FromHisPresence.comAre you struggling with unstable emotions? If so, beloved, you are NOT alone.

I spend a significant amount of time working with people as a teacher, a mentor, and an encourager. And as I do, I hear from people ALL. THE. TIME. that their emotions dominate their lives. Whether they happen to feel:

  • sad;
  • angry;
  • lonely;
  • discouraged;
  • or however else …

… people tell me that their emotions run away from them. Their unstable emotions destroy their ability to function. They end up letting their emotions dictate their choices, instead of making choices that will dictate their emotions.

Can you identify? I can. I used to be like that too.

I used to really struggle with my emotions. I would be happy in the morning, blue by lunchtime, and happy again in the evening. Sad the next morning, happy by lunch, you get the picture. I was all over the place.

And there was no good reason for it. (I had a reason, of course. It was just a bad one.) 🙂

My pattern was this: I would get alone with the Lord, and then I’d be happy. After all, in the presence of God is fullness of joy (Psalm 16:11)! But shortly after that, my thoughts would run amok. I’d start feeling sorry for myself about X, Y, or Z as I went about my day.

Well, feeling sorry for oneself is a recipe for disaster every time.

So after a few hours of that, I’d start to feel all weepy and pitiful. (Joyce Meyer always says, “You can be pitiful or you can be powerful, but you can’t be both.”) 🙂 So then I’d take my self-pity and horrible attitude back to the Lord at night, and of course He’d fix me up.

Then I’d go to bed happy … but wake up sad because, again, I let myself go over into unhealthy thoughts.

    Ugh. What a ride.

Now, however, you’ll be relieved to know that I am extremely stable. 🙂

Don’t worry. You are not reading the words of a moody, crazed weirdo. 🙂 I really am just basically happy all the time, and have been for years.

For example, I walk around smiling most of the time. I crack a lot of jokes and try to make other people laugh as much as I can. I require very little maintenance or ministry, except directly from the Lord when I’m alone with Him every morning.

And you can become stable too. You can become completely solid; completely in control of your emotions; and incredibly, incredibly happy.

It’s called the joy of the Lord, and He wants you to have it.

Beloved, I hope you will hear me when I write this. Listen, precious:

No matter what you’ve been through, Jesus Christ paid the price for you to be completely healed, completely free, and completely joyful. As a believer in Christ, there is not a single bit of emotional upset or instability that you have to put up with. Not one.

    That means:

    • It doesn’t matter how you got your hurt.
    • It doesn’t matter if someone has placed a medical label on your emotions or not.
    • It doesn’t matter how long you’ve felt like this.
    • It doesn’t matter how easy it is to get back into the unstable thought pattern.

The simple fact is that Jesus Christ has paid the price for you to be free from EVERYTHING that brings you pain, and He will COMPLETELY stabilize your emotions if you will ask Him to do so.

So how can you get off the roller coaster and stabilize your emotions?

Do what I did: Pray about it.

There are a lot of other options, but none of them are as effective as prayer. Self-help stuff doesn’t work. I tried and tried to fix myself. I read every positive-thinking book I could find–both Christian ones and secular ones. I tried all the success principles, and they’re good, and they helped me succeed.

But success principles didn’t stabilize my emotions. Self-help books didn’t help me. Positive thinking couldn’t overcome my issues.

So, when I became desperate enough, I asked Daddy God to help me.

And when I started seeking God about this subject, and asking for His help, that things started to change for me. God answered my prayers and stabilized my emotions in response to seven prayers.

He will do the same for you. Are you ready to begin?

    [mv_video doNotAutoplayNorOptimizePlacement=”false” doNotOptimizePlacement=”false” jsonLd=”true” key=”b6erp71gvy2ykjdkqemb” ratio=”16:9″ thumbnail=”https://mediavine-res.cloudinary.com/v1611862265/i4jp2qtfjhypli2tt9fq.jpg” title=”7 Prayers That Will Stabilize Your Emotions and Bring You Peace” volume=”70″]

Here are the seven prayers that will stabilize your emotions and bring you peace:

    1. Father, hide me under Your wings. Keep me stable and fixed under Your shadow.

Psalm 91:1 in the Amplified Version (Classic Edition) says this:

Start-quoteHe who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty [Whose power no foe can withstand].”

This was the very first prayer I prayed to stabilize my emotions. It’s the first promise I claimed. I was anything but “stable and fixed,” but I wanted to be perfectly stable. So I began to pray like this:

“Heavenly Father, in Jesus’ name, please help me to dwell in Your secret place today. Help me to remain stable and fixed under Your shadow. Keep my emotions on an even keel today. Help me to just focus on You so that You can make me perfectly stable in every way. Thank You, Father. In Jesus’ name, amen.”

You just would not believe how much difference that one little prayer made.

From the first day I began to pray this prayer, I could tell a difference. When I remembered to pray Psalm 91:1 back to God, I’d have a good day and my emotions were even and steady. But when I didn’t, I struggled.

There’s another promise that goes along with this prayer. It’s found in Psalm 17:

Start-quoteKeep me as the apple of Your eye; hide me under the shadow of Your wings, from the wicked who oppress me, from my deadly enemies who surround me” (Psalm 17:8-9 NKJV).

Did you get that? It’s a lot like Psalm 91:1. “Hide me under the shadow of Your wings,” and “… shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty.”

    Beautiful.

I love the thought of being hidden under the shadow of His wings.

God actually gave me a mental picture (read that story here) of what this verse looks like. Just seeing this picture in my mind’s eye made such a difference to me, and I believe it will to you as well.

But for now, pray the prayer above. Ask God to help you dwell in the secret place of the Most High, and to keep you stable and fixed under His shadow. And He will!

    2. Help me to be anxious for nothing; but in everything, with prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, help me to make my requests known to You.

    [mv_video doNotAutoplayNorOptimizePlacement=”false” doNotOptimizePlacement=”false” jsonLd=”true” key=”lq2mmdywxfjjokxhetbh” ratio=”16:9″ thumbnail=”https://mediavine-res.cloudinary.com/v1612385165/vtjfjzczrfzeagvxdfyt.jpg” title=”God’s Cure for Anxiety” volume=”70″]

God has clearly laid out His healing prescription for anxiety in the Bible. Philippians 4:6-7 tells us:

Start-quoteBe anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

You don’t have to be some kind of mighty prayer warrior for this to work, folks. It simply works, every time, because God promised. All you have to do is:

    • Get alone with God.
    • Tell Him all about whatever’s bothering you.
    • Ask Him for what you need … not using witchcraft prayer, either, but praying according to His Word.
    • Thank Him for hearing you; for answering you (even before you see the answer); and for who He is.

And if you will do those things, God Himself has promised you that His peace will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

Sooooo many times I have found this to be true. Every time that I’ve been lonely, discouraged, burdened, stressed, or worried about anything at all, and I’ve taken it to God, He has taken my burdens away, comforted me, reassured me, and given me peace.

    Every time. Without fail.

Do you want that too? Begin to go to Him in prayer, even right now, about the things that are bothering you. And to help yourself remember to do so, pray this simple prayer with me:

“Heavenly Father, I’ve been carrying all these worries around and I can’t do it anymore. I can’t handle it, and I know You never meant for me to carry this stuff anyway.

So Father, in Jesus’ name, please help me to be anxious for nothing; but in everything, with prayer and supplication, and with plenty of thanksgiving, please help me to make my requests known to You. And Father, let Your peace, which passes all understanding, guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

Thank You, Father. Thank You. I give you all my burdens right now, and I receive Your rest. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”

And then, my friend, make a daily habit of taking your concerns, worries, and cares to the Lord, instead of carrying them around with you like a sack of rocks.

    3. Daddy God, feed me with your on-time, rhema word. Speak directly to me about my situation.

    [mv_video doNotAutoplayNorOptimizePlacement=”false” doNotOptimizePlacement=”false” jsonLd=”true” key=”u9pklggxar9vsidolkln” ratio=”16:9″ thumbnail=”https://mediavine-res.cloudinary.com/v1636738698/apxa3pem4vbuwr4mx3fi.jpg” title=”Lord, Let Your Word Run Swiftly” volume=”70″]

    There’s a reason David wrote:

Start-quoteYour word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path” (Psalm 119:105).

When you sit down with the Lord and hear directly from Him about your situation, it makes all the difference in the world.

I can’t begin to tell you how many times I’ve been sad, discouraged, upset, or otherwise blue, but God has completely fixed me and cheered me up when I’ve taken the situation to Him.

One of the most life-changing times God spoke to me about a situation was when my husband and I were dealing with a real estate crisis that was a real financial mess. It lasted for years.

I got so depressed about it that I had a tough time functioning. And one day–at the lowest point I can remember–I went to the Lord and asked this simple question:

    “Lord, WHY?”

I knew He could have fixed our situation the very first day with one word, but He didn’t.

We were sitting on three pieces of property (read: three mortgages), and two of them were for sale; but neither of them sold. Month after month, year after year. We were bleeding financially. It was horrible. And my Daddy God could have waved His hand the very first day, and brought us the perfect buyer for one or both properties.

But instead, He allowed me to go through fire. I wanted to know why … and He answered.

    [mv_video doNotAutoplayNorOptimizePlacement=”false” doNotOptimizePlacement=”false” jsonLd=”true” key=”buc2u7qfyzaig1wfob5o” ratio=”16:9″ thumbnail=”https://mediavine-res.cloudinary.com/v1612556790/tcpe39emjapigtyvnqwg.jpg” title=”How to Tell If You Are Nearing Breakthrough” volume=”70″]

You know what He said? He took me to Deuteronomy 8, and the following words leaped off the page into my spirit:

Start-quoteEvery commandment which I command you today you must be careful to observe, that you may live and multiply, and go in and possess the land of which the Lord swore to your fathers.

And you shall remember that the Lord your God led you all the way these forty years in the wilderness, to humble you and test you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep His commandments or not.

So He humbled you, allowed you to hunger, and fed you with manna which you did not know nor did your fathers know, that He might make you know that man shall not live by bread alone; but man lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the Lord (Deuteronomy 8:1-3, emphasis mine).

In that moment, He told me exactly why He was allowing me to go through the fire.

God allowed me to go through His refining fire to humble me; to test me; to know what was in my mind and heart, and to know if I would obey Him and be faithful or not. He also allowed it to teach me that man shall not live by bread–or money, or resources–alone, but by every WORD that proceeds from the mouth of the Lord.

And boy, did I ever learn!

Looking back, that trial by fire was one of the best things that has ever happened to me. God used that time to stabilize me. He did a huge work in my heart and made me completely dependent on His Word, which is His desire for all of us.

But you know what? That one day when He talked to me about my situation was a turning point for me emotionally.

When God spoke directly to me about my situation, I no longer felt hopeless in my trial. Instead, I knew there was light ahead, no matter how long it took.

How did I know there was hope? Because not only did God tell me why He was allowing me to go through the fire–and what He was doing in my heart throughout the process–but the whole remainder of that chapter (Deuteronomy 8) contains promise after promise about the beautiful place God was going to take me after the trial was over.

God’s on-time word specifically about my situation gave me hope. It gave me something to cling to.

And God wants to talk to you about your specific situation too.

If you will ask Him, He will speak a word to you that will give you something to cling to in your darkest hour. His Word will bring you hope, help, encouragement, guidance, and direction. His Word changes everything.

    So pray this:

“Father God, I come before You in Jesus’ name. Lord, I don’t know why I’m going through what I’m going through, but I ask right now that You would talk to me about it.

Father, please show me what You’re doing in my heart during this time. Show me what You want me to learn. Show me Your promise of where You’re taking me when You bring me out the other side of this thing.

And Father, help me to believe it, cling to Your promise, and live by Your Word. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”

    4. Father, I ask that the Holy Spirit would bear His fruit in my life.

    Galatians 5:22-23 tells us:

Start-quoteBut the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.”

Have you ever noticed that this passage doesn’t say these things are the fruit “of the believer,” but rather “the fruit of the Spirit”?

Huh. Odd. Funny that most people don’t teach it that way, isn’t it? And isn’t it oh-so-liberating when we read the Bible for what it actually says? Read it again, just to make sure:

“The fruit of the Spirit is ….”

Yup. Ladies and gentlemen, the awesome things in this list list (love, joy, peace, faithfulness, etc) are all things that the Holy Spirit produces in our lives.

We can’t conjure them up. We need Him to bear His fruit in us. So why not ask Him to do so? I pray the following prayer all the time:

“Heavenly Father, in Jesus’ name, please fill me with Your Holy Spirit. And Father, I ask that the Holy Spirit would bear His fruit powerfully and clearly in my life today.

Father, may the Holy Spirit fill me with Your love, joy, peace, big fierceness, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Change me and make me like You in every way, and let other people see Your fruit displayed in my life. Thank You, Father. In Jesus’ name. Amen!”

Asking the Holy Spirit to bear His own fruit in your life WORKS.

When we stop trying to perform and just REST, looking at Jesus instead and letting Him do His job while we do ours, it’s amazing what happens. We get to enjoy the pleasure of His company while He does all the heavy lifting, heart surgery, and hard work in our lives.

Including all the hard work of bearing the fruit of the Spirit. Yup. He does it through us and in us. We can’t conjure it up ourselves.

    I think that’s a pretty sweet deal, don’t you? 😉

    5. Your Kingdom come; Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.

The Kingdom of God is righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit (Romans 14:17). The Kingdom is also in POWER (1 Corinthians 4:20).

When you ask God to manifest His Kingdom in your life, you are automatically asking Him to demonstrate His righteousness, peace, joy, and power in you.

And righteousness, peace, joy, and power are awfully good for the emotions, my friend. 🙂

    Think about it:

    • If you’re at peace all the time, you can’t be an emotional train wreck. It’s not possible.
    • If you’re filled with joy and happiness, there’s no room in your life for discouragement or depression.
    • And if you’re filled with the power of God and the Holy Spirit, the enemy can’t touch you. You’re immune to his attacks because you’re so focused on Jesus.

So ask God to manifest His Kingdom in your life. Pray this with me:

“Heavenly Father, in Jesus’ name, I ask right now that You would manifest Your Kingdom in my life today.

Father, fill me with Your righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. Fill me with Your power. Help me to obey You in everything, as soon as You speak the Word–just like the angels obey You in Heaven. Help me to focus on You completely today. Thank You, Father.

And just like Jesus did, I say right now: Kingdom of God, come! Will of God, be done on earth–and in my life–as it is in Heaven today.

Thank You, Father, for filling me with Your Holy Spirit. Thank You for Your Kingdom, power, and Your righteousness, peace, and joy in Christ. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”

When your life begins to look like Heaven, you’ll become stable and full of joy. You’ll have peace all the time. You won’t worry about even the worst situations, because you’ll know God is working. Faith and courage will rise up in your spirit.

“Heaven on earth” makes all the difference in the world.

    6. Lord, please help me to forgive others like You forgive.

I serve quite a bit in deliverance ministry. My experience in deliverance has taught me that bitterness and unforgiveness are two of the biggest, if not THE biggest causes of emotional disturbance.

Seriously. If you want to get–and stay–really messed up emotionally, just walk around with a bunch of offenses against people. Don’t forgive. Don’t let go. Just harbor bitterness and hold onto your hurts.

But then again, if you DON’T want to be really messed up in your emotions, do the opposite:

    • Forgive.
    • Let go. Release.
    • Love those who hate you.
    • Pray for those who despitefully use you.

Beloved, I know this is not easy. But it is essential.

Jesus actually said that our Father will NOT forgive our sins if we do not forgive others. Matthew 6:15 tells us:

Start-quoteBut if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.”

Forgiveness is so important, but you don’t have to go it alone. Get some help with this if you need to. Talk to your pastor, your mentor, or your Sunday School teacher. If your church has a counseling or inner healing ministry, make an appointment. There’s no shame.

(Trust me: your mentors, pastors, or whoever will be HAPPY to help you. They’ll be tickled pink and ever-so-proud of you for taking the step to forgive and get your heart cleaned up.)

But to be emotionally stable, we must forgive like Jesus forgives. Think about it: Jesus Christ was being nailed to a cross and STILL prayed, “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do” (Luke 23:34).

THAT’S forgiveness. And we need to forgive like Jesus does. So let’s pray:

Heavenly Father, I come before You in Jesus’ name. Father, thank You for forgiving all my sins. Thank You, Jesus, for dying on the cross for me, even though I have offended You, hurt You, and sinned against You so many times.

Lord, I need help. I know Your Word commands me to forgive those who have hurt me. Father, please help me to forgive. Make me like You, and help me to forgive just as easily as You do. Help me to let go of all my grudges, bitterness, offenses, and resentment against people. And help me to do whatever it takes to get things right with everyone who has hurt me.

Thank You, Father. I desire to honor You in all things, and I know You will help me. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”

    7. Father God, please make me humble.

Humility is one of the greatest character attributes I know of. Humility doesn’t mean you think little of yourself. Humility means you’re correctable, teachable, and obedient.

And if you’re willing to obey God and submit yourself to His authority, a lot of your emotional problems will go away.

    • You’ll repent immediately when you sin, thus keeping the enemy from gaining a foothold of temptation or wrong thinking in your life that would mess you up.
    • You’ll listen to the mentors, pastors, and others whom God has placed in your life.
    • You’ll ask God to teach you, and you’ll actually listen when He does.

Philippians 2:5-8 is one of my favorite passages in the Bible about humility. It says:

Start-quoteLet this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men.

And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.”

Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus. Wow. That one phrase will change your life.

    I know it changed mine.

Shortly after I gave my life to Jesus, I began to pray: “Lord, make me humble. Make me moldable and teachable.” I was so proud, but I knew I needed to become obedient.

    And He helped me.

It’s certainly been a process, and it still is. Do I obey God perfectly every time? Unfortunately, no. But I try. I desire to obey. I desire to obey Him just as quickly and perfectly as Jesus did. And even though I haven’t reached that perfect standard yet, I can definitely say that God has changed my heart, life, and yes, my emotions every time I HAVE obeyed Him.

    So pray this with me:

Heavenly Father, in Jesus’ name, I thank You for the example of Christ. Lord, please make me humble like Jesus is humble. Let this mind be in me which was also in Christ Jesus. Help me to obey You perfectly as soon as You speak. Make me moldable, teachable, and pliable in Your hands. And I’ll give You all the glory. In Jesus’ name, amen.”

There you go. Seven prayers that will stabilize your emotions and bring you peace.

These seven prayers have changed my life. And if you will pray and ask the Father to help you, beloved, God will change you too. He will help you dwell in the secret place of the Most High. He’ll keep you stable and fixed under the shadow of His wings.

And you can be filled with so much peace and joy that your life can feel like Heaven on earth.

    6. Jamie, this was a very powerful article and It will help many.

    7. Thank you for this, I want to make prayer more evident in my daily life and this really helped.
Could you advise me on one thing?
We had a situation where something went wrong in a friendship. We forgave, stayed still and didnt gossip but you know how the world works, we ended up loosing lots of friends because we refused to cast blame and gossip.
We have totally forgiven but are being pushed to have social contact again which we dont want. Problem is that this “refusal” on our part is being seen as unforgiveness …is that correct?
We have no unforgiveness on our part but just dont have a need for that type of friendship……..

      God bless you

    8. Jamie I have been studying your prayers, writing them down with my own situations. Your website is awesome, especially for someone like me who struggles with what to pray and how. Your prayers are helpful, with the specific scriptures. I have sent a email before requesting prayer for a specific situation. I have been searching your website for prayers similar to the ones on your website for children, teenagers. I haven’t been successful. Any resources!

      1. Hey Tiffany, I’m so glad Papa is using my website to bless you and that the prayers have helped also. I have prayed for you. Thank you for reading and for reaching out. 🙂
I can only remember two posts that I have written about children specifically. (I don’t write about that quite as much since I don’t have biological kids, although I do write about discipleship and spiritual children.) But the two posts I have written about children are here:
Radical Prayer: God Himself Will Disciple Your Children and
An Encouraging Word for Parents With Struggling Kids.

Regarding other resources, Stormie O’Martian has some wonderful books about prayer, and she has niche titles about children, spouses, etc. Also, just in general, I would recommend any of the resources on my resources page to help you pray with more power and get even more answers. 🙂

Hope this helps. Thanks so much again for reading! Have a great night!

      2. I love this prayers, I am going to make it my daily prayer pilot. Love them! Thank you for your knowledge,

    9. Tameeka Brundidge says:

I have been an emotional wreck for about a month. Like you I tried being positive, but it hasn’t been enough. While I was reading and praying through this blog, I started feeling the peace and joy of the Lord coming back. I am feeling refreshed again. I will continue to review my notes from this. Dt 8 spoke to me a few minutes ago…I’m being tested in this situation and now I have understanding. The Lord makes me feel so special and loved. I love good surprises and He surprises often…like leading me to this blog. God bless!

      1. Tameeka. Precious sister. I’m so sorry you’ve been going through such a hard time. I thank Papa for touching you and I pray He would continue to refresh you and give you a baptism of rest. That’s one thing I received at Azusa last weekend and I’ll be writing about it soon. Baptism of rest. May He renew, refresh, and restore your spirit, soul, and body today. I love you, sister!

      2. Hi everyone
What a peaceful area this is. It’s almost as if I may have been brought here by God, I don’t know. But it’s been somewhat comforting reading your prayers. I’ve always been an anxious person that gets himself depressed over such silly things. Right now I’m scared of loneliness, I feel so emotionally dependent on my partner and we have been having problems but of late, we’ve been close to splitting up. I love him but…the thought of him leaving me devastates me. And i don’t want that feeling. I want to be able to yes, be sad, but not collapse in a heap and spiral if he did leave me. So many people go through my situation and they still get up the next day and go to work. Me….I melt, and become self destructive. I just fear being alone. How do widowers do it? How do others show such courage to move on. I guess I am praying for the gift of emotional strength and independence, to understand that should my partner of 10 years leaves…I’m still me….capable me. I don’t know why I fear the thought of living/being single. But it makes me anxious and depressed thinking about it. I’m ashamed of myself for being this way at 45 years of age.
Anyway, thank you and everyone on here. I pray that these prayers will help me.

      Jamie,
I’m not even sure how I arrived at your site today, except to say, it was the Lord’s doing.
One minute I was laying on my bed crying out to the Lord asking Him to show me how to do what he was asking me to do. The next minute I was in front of my computer on your site. God works in mysterious ways. He is amazing. I now know how to take the next steps he is asking of me.
      A BIG BIG THANK YOU!!!
      God is using you amazingly.
      Keep going. We need you.
I pray God will lead many more people to your site so He can touch them also.

      1. Nery, I am so sorry for your loss. I will pray for you.
If you haven’t already, claim this promise in prayer:
Exodus 23:25-26: “So you shall serve the Lord your God, and He will bless your bread and your water. And I will take sickness away from the midst of you. 26 No one shall suffer miscarriage or be barren in your land; I will fulfill the number of your days.”
And if you haven’t ever read Jackie Mize’s book called “Supernatural Childbirth,” please get it if you can. It will help you.
I will continue to pray for you and for your precious baby. I declare your baby will live and not die, and they will praise the Lord, in Jesus’ name. I speak perfect peace–total shalom, nothing missing and nothing broken–over your pregnancy and over your body and over your baby. I bless your body with relaxing into the rest of the Lord and carrying this pregnancy perfectly with no sickness, no pain, and total joy. I speak power, life, perfect health, and JOY into your baby, your womb, and your pregnancy and delivery. In Jesus’ name.

    23. LORRAINE STARKS says:

My thoughts & emotions have been so awful lately. I got right into the WORD & FOUND PRAYERS for the mind. I’ve been reading them morning & before bed at night.
I found your blog & started reading it. I found that I was
NEEDING what you were saying. I don’t know why this is happening to me now. I felt like I Was going to LOSE MY MIND!!
I will continue to read these prayers each day.
Thank you for posting & caring for the spiritual health of others.

    24. Jamie, you are such a blessing! This series is so awesome.

I’ve been working this area of my life because of unstable emotions that rear up occasionally. Partially, it has been to rough times with familial abuse; some of the roller-coaster has been due to health problems newly diagnosed, like HBP and diabetes. Have found that if I am consistent in my prayer and study of the Word, focusing on meditation on Him and the Word, then the Lord does the work. I am awestruck by the guidelines you compiled and appropriate Scripture that you have shared with us. Truly God-inspired!

May Abba richly bless you, my sister in Christ,

      Deborah

    25. Gladys Mutungu says:

Thank you very much for these 7 prayers. I have made notes so I can refer to them over and over again. I have been on a rollercoaster the last ten days. This happens far more often than I want to admit. This is so helpful. I already feel the peace as I worked through these prayers. I value this teaching. So on point and practical.
God bless you and I pray for more unction on you as you continue to help many like me for His Glory.

      Love and blessings. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

    26. Thanks Jamie, these prayers are right on point for me. Thank you for all the time you take to assist in helping us make it through. Thank you again

      Thank you Jesus
      Amen

    27. First; Nery. God’s blessing of beautiful healthy baby and peaceful, strong delighted parents.

For me?: The tithe is paramount. I repented . I kept it to pay bills. Now I may be on streets. Emotions ? Ya …You know it!!!

I prided myself on paying tithe. I corrected people on it. Pay the tithe or you will inherit a curse not a blessing.
Then one day my hubby died. My children unable to help. Plus I taught them all their lives that God will supply everthing I will ever need. And he does. Only obedience is necessary. Even a small infraction can be felt.

Now,,,,I cry out not only for forgiveness,..AGAIN…..but Psalm 91 daily by memory.! May be kicked out of motel after 2 years….I want to move into house naturally some day soon, meahwhile bill is way over the top ….fear tries to waylay my mind…still trusting and knowing he forgave. Nowhere to go but to the Lord. “Well, where is your God? I thought He would help you with everything” this is what some seem to say. But I know God will diliver me. Pray for me dear friends. Thank you

    28. This is really powerful..thanks Jamie, I believe all is settled after reading GODs word in JESUS Name. GOD bless you.amen

    29. Verity Engel says:

This is exactly what I needed to read and pray today because in the fiery pit I’m going through so much that my emotions has been all over the place I don’t even know what my true emotion is anymore. It’s been 4 tough years yet the last few months has been so hard because it’s been test after test and trial after trial I feel some days I cannot breathe in between. Funny thing is I felt like someone in advanced labour because I can’t take a breath before the next thing comes up.
Then I dreamt this past Monday morning about being in advanced labour, I felt the baby’s head crowning. The dream was so real that I actually felt the pain. As a mom of 4 I in what labour pain feels like and that exact pain I felt. In the pre-delivery room was many men and women all waiting , they were in early labour yet they looked at me on my way into the delivery room with envy in their eyes, because they were waiting for what I was about to have. I was scared but exited and in much pain. The delivery room was being prepared as I waited in extreme pain just outside those doors, huge double doors I could see the doctor and nurses very busy setting up for delivery. I felt the head crown and I woke up very tired very relieved and very sweaty. Clearly this was real pain. I read a few articles saying this was my breakthrough I’m delivering and man do I need it right now because some days I feel like bot living anymore which I guess was what I felt just before I delivered all my babies. So that was Monday, today is Wednesday I’m so anxious and confused. Can you please, or anyone please elaborate on this if I’m correct and how long still????? I can’t anymore.
      Verity

    30. Bantshang says:

Hi Jamie! I thank God for using you in our lives. I pray for protection of God over your life, family and ministry work. I have a weakness of emotional instability. This has been going on from childhood even after my life with christ. Its either fear, loneliness, pity, shame and many others. At the moment am being tormented of what I am going through. Certain false and satanic prophets have been pursuing me to follow them by force through severe attacks. They have done a lot of evil sacrifices and distractions. These have switched me off line because its like they have won me since they are now telling me to take my kingdom and throne at the cost of my children’s blood. They show me a lot of money. The more I refuse the more I got hurt and harasded. It has been long and It has made the situation worse. I stay the whole day worried, with sorrow, fear, crying with questions of what is going to happen about my children. Has God allowed it because they use my body to perform it so that I am part of it. There is no hedge of protection. They are accompanied with weird, strange dreams and visions which cause fear. Am not stable at all am weak and spirituality sick. It’s like I can loose my memory. I really need God to help come out of it, make me strong.

    31. Bantshang says:

I need God to protect me from wealth and riches of the wicked. It gives me fear imagining myself having eaten my children in secret to attain riches which addeth sorrow. I found money in my wallet today which have not been there equivalent to $25. I prayed over it because I thought it was a trap but I am still in fear that maybe I have opened a door for them to connect to my life and family. May God forgive me if it’s real because I have used the money and find me a way out.

    32. Bantshang says:

Jamie am sorry that you have been I’ll for weeks. There is a spirit in my life which attack people who pray with me. This is as a result of what I have been through, my past. It’s a grave power of child I opened when I was young. Another servant of opened a grave for of small child which resulted in many babies dying up to now. I do not know if it was a curse or a covenant because it was done in secret and blood of people crying vengeance against me. I got decieved or setup and initiated into occult which was not the first encounter. I went around witnessing for Jesus without knowledge of what I have gone through. Many people died after that. This spirits affect both big and small. It’s now a witchcraft and ancestral spell. I pray that God gives me strength. Now evil shall befall you, neither shall any pluck come near you in Jesus name psalm 91 v 10. No weapon forged against you shall prosper Isaiah54 v17. Numbers 23v23. I will pray with you. Am sorry if it’s my life.
