No More Affliction!

Welcome back to 21 Days of Breakthrough Prayer! This simple series will provide you with Scriptures to pray into for 21 days, asking the Lord for your breakthrough. Today, we are claiming God’s promise that there will be no more affliction in your situation!

A couple of reminders:

This is a very simple series; I am not expounding on each Scripture very much, except through a bullet-point list to share some prayer pointers. I also am not writing out sample prayers, as I believe the Lord wants you to exercise your prayer muscles and make these Scriptures your own vocabulary for prayer.

But, even though it’s a simple series, I believe it’s a POWERFUL one … and I want to hear your testimonies as the Lord answers your prayers, okay?

Without further ado, here’s Day 11 of 21 Days of Breakthrough Prayer:

The Scripture verse of the day is Nahum 1:12-13, in which Father God says to His people who are being afflicted by enemies:

Thus says the Lord:

“Though they are safe, and likewise many, yet in this manner they will be cut down when he passes through. Though I have afflicted you, I will afflict you no more; for now I will break off his yoke from you, and burst your bonds apart'” (Nahum 1:12-13).

Pray along these points:

• Tell Father God how much you love Him.
• Thank Him for always fighting on your side.
• Thank Him for refining you, purifying you, and testing you in the furnace of affliction (Isaiah 48:10).
• Acknowledge that He knows best. Acknowledge Him as your Lord, and ask Him to purify you continually and conform you to the image of Christ.
• Acknowledge to Father God that you know we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against the enemy’s forces of darkness. So, even in the situations in which you need breakthrough, your enemies are not people, but are rather those same forces of darkness.
• Thank the Lord that Jesus already overcame every power of the wicked one and rendered him ineffective through Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection.
• Plead the blood of Jesus over your situation. Ask Father God to cover every aspect of your situation SPECIFICALLY AND BY NAME with Jesus’ blood.
• Ask Father to bring forth His perfect will in these situations–the perfect peace and victory that Jesus died and shed His blood to obtain.
• Thank Father God for fighting for you again. Ask Him to obliterate the attack and forces of the enemy off every part of your life, in Jesus’ name.
• Ask Him to break the enemy’s yoke and influence off you.
• Ask Father God to BURST APART every chain and bond that is holding you–right now, today.
• Insist that He do all these things NOW, today!–for that is what Nahum 1:12-13 says He will do!
• Thank Papa God that there will be NO MORE AFFLICTION in your life! Thank Him for not allowing you to be afflicted any more.
• Ask Him to bring you and everything about you into perfect peace and shalom–a state of total wholeness and unity with the Lord and His will, inside and out; with nothing missing and nothing broken.
• Then thank Him for all these things in Jesus’ name!

That’s our breakthrough prayer for day 11!

Nahum 1:12-13 is one of those passages I encourage you to memorize. Memorizing it will help you solidify this monumental promise in your mind, soul, heart, and spirit.

Also, remember to use the verse itself as your vocabulary for prayer. Doing so will not only help you pray the most effective prayers it’s possible to pray, but it will also help you hide God’s Word in your heart, that you might not sin against Him (Psalm 119:11).
