Morning and Night: 21 Days of Praying for Your Ministry | by Jamie Rohrbaugh | FromHisPresence.com

Welcome to Day 17 of Morning and Night: 21 Days of Praying for Your Ministry! Today, in the morning, we are praying for extreme levels of wisdom. In the evening, we are praying for growth and increase!

Friend, the Bible says that wisdom is the #1 thing we can get from the Lord.

Check out Proverbs 4:5-9:

“Get wisdom! Get understanding! Do not forget, nor turn away from the words of my mouth. Do not forsake her, and she will preserve you; love her, and she will keep you.

Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding. Exalt her, and she will promote you; she will bring you honor, when you embrace her. She will place on your head an ornament of grace; a crown of glory she will deliver to you” (Proverbs 4:5-9 NKJV).

Why is wisdom the principal thing? Because wisdom is God’s Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit IS the Spirit of wisdom, and having wisdom in your life simply means that Holy Spirit is helping you and applying Himself to your situation, to show you what to do.

Look at these incredible promises about wisdom:

Again, let’s review Proverbs 4:5-9, with an emphasis on the last two sentences:

“Get wisdom! Get understanding! Do not forget, nor turn away from the words of my mouth. Do not forsake her, and she will preserve you; love her, and she will keep you.

Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding. Exalt her, and she will promote you; she will bring you honor, when you embrace her. She will place on your head an ornament of grace; a crown of glory she will deliver to you (Proverbs 4:5-9 NKJV, emphasis mine).

    And then also:

Proverbs 1:20-23: “Wisdom calls aloud outside; she raises her voice in the open squares. She cries out in the chief concourses, at the openings of the gates in the city she speaks her words:

“How long, you simple ones, will you love simplicity? For scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge. Turn at my rebuke; surely I will pour out my spirit on you; I will make my words known to you (Proverbs 1:20-23 NKJV, emphasis mine).

James 1:5-8: “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways” (James 1:5-8 NKJV).

Beloved, wisdom is the most important thing we can get.

And if you do get wisdom from the Lord, then you can be assured of the following things:

    • Wisdom will preserve you.
    • Wisdom will keep you.
    • Wisdom will promote you.
    • Wisdom will bring you honor.
    • Wisdom will place on your head an ornament of grace and a crown of glory.
    • Wisdom will rebuke you when you need to be rebuked, to keep you on the straight and narrow path.
    • If you will heed the rebuke, God will pour out His Spirit on you and make His words known to you. (WOW!)
    • You can have all the wisdom you want and need, as long as you ask the Lord for it in faith, without doubting.

HALLELUJAH! These promises are huge, and you can see how wisdom will guide your whole life if you have wisdom!

So, are you ready to pray for wisdom? Pray as follows:

    • Tell the Father that you are coming before Him in Jesus’ name.
    • Thank Him for His promise to give you wisdom if you ask.
    • Praise Him for being the Source and the Fountain of all wisdom and understanding, for His Spirit is Wisdom Personified.
    • Ask the Lord to give you exceedingly abundant wisdom today and every day.
    • Pray that He will give you understanding together with His wisdom.
    • Ask the Lord to help you cherish and treasure His wisdom the way He does, and that you would heed the voice of His wisdom and obey it (obey God the Holy Spirit, Who Is wisdom) at all times.
    • Ask the Lord to use His wisdom to preserve and keep you.
    • Pray that you would exalt and embrace His wisdom, and that He would promote you, bring you honor, and place an ornament of grace and a crown of glory on your head.
    • Ask the Lord to pour out His Spirit on you, and to make His words known to you.
    • Ask the Lord to help you to only make wise decisions in your life and ministry, and never to follow after foolishness.
    • Pray that every word of your mouth would be only wise, and that He would help you to speak forth only His words as He makes His words known to you by His wisdom.
    • Pray that you would always believe Him as you ask for wisdom and everything else you need, and that you would never doubt.
    • Thank Him for His wisdom and understanding, as well as His mercy and grace. And give Him all the praise!

And in the evening, we are praying for growth and increase.

Look at these amazing promises about major increase for you:

Isaiah 60:22: “A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation. I, the Lord, will hasten it in its time” (Isaiah 60:22 NKJV).

Deuteronomy 1:11: “May the Lord God of your fathers make you a thousand times more numerous than you are, and bless you as He has promised you!” (Deuteronomy 1:11 NKJV).

Psalm 115:14-15: “May the Lord give you increase more and more, you and your children. May you be blessed by the Lord, Who made heaven and earth” (Psalm 115:14-15 NKJV).

Isaiah 54:1-4: “Sing, O barren, you who have not borne! Break forth into singing, and cry aloud, you who have not labored with child! For more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married woman,” says the Lord.

“Enlarge the place of your tent, and let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings; do not spare; lengthen your cords, and strengthen your stakes. For you shall expand to the right and to the left, and your descendants will inherit the nations, and make the desolate cities inhabited.

Do not fear, for you will not be ashamed; neither be disgraced, for you will not be put to shame; for you will forget the shame of your youth, and will not remember the reproach of your widowhood anymore” (Isaiah 54:1-4 NKJV).

1 Chronicles 4:10: “And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, “Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!” So God granted him what he requested” (1 Chronicles 4:10 NKJV).

Psalm 20:1-6: “May the Lord answer you in the day of trouble; may the name of the God of Jacob defend you; may He send you help from the sanctuary, and strengthen you out of Zion; may He remember all your offerings, and accept your burnt sacrifice.

May He grant you according to your heart’s desire, and fulfill all your purpose. We will rejoice in your salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners!

May the Lord fulfill all your petitions. Now I know that the Lord saves His anointed; He will answer him from His holy heaven with the saving strength of His right hand” (Psalm 20:1-6 NKJV).

    Beloved, these Scriptures are huge.

Can you imagine what would happen if you really get these promises down deep in your spirit, and you start praying them every day? How would God answer if you are constantly petitioning Him to grow you and bring you into total fulfillment of all your purpose, which is simply His command at creation for you to be fruitful and multiply?

I think we would all be astounded by the results if we were each to pray these Scriptures every day.

God wants to multiply you, my friend.

Multiplication is the way of the Kingdom. The Kingdom of God always increases. Check out what His Word tells us specifically about the coming of Christ, and the increase that is associated with that, in Isaiah 9:6-7:

For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end, upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, to order it and establish it with judgment and justice from that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this” (Isaiah 9:6-7, emphasis mine).

God is a God of increase.

His government is always increasing. His peace is always increasing. And it is His Own holy zeal that accomplish the work of INCREASE. Hallelujah!

That’s good news today; it means you don’t have to strive for increase. You can simply seek God and obey Him moment by moment, day by day; and as you do that, He will add all these things to you–and HE will do the work of increasing you.

So, are you ready to pray for growth and increase?

    Let’s pray as follows:

    • Tell the Father that you come before Him in Jesus’ name.
    • Ask that His Holy Spirit would pray through you and for you, according to His perfect will. (See Romans chapter 8.)
    • Thank Him for being God Who increases both His Kingdom and you.
    • Praise Him for being so good, kind, and generous to you.
    • Tell the Father that you believe His promises for growth, expansion, and increase.
    • Ask Him to grow you, expand you, and increase you and your ministry in every good thing!
    • Even though you may feel little now, ask the Lord to take you as one of His “little ones” and turn you into a thousand; to turn you into a strong nation; and to increase you a thousand times over!
    • Ask the Lord to bless you as He has promised you, with ever-increasing blessing.
    • Ask the Lord to give you and your children “increase more and more” (as it says in Psalm 115:14-15).
    • Thank and praise the Lord for all your spiritual children and spiritual influence, which are even greater than your natural children and familial influence.
    • Ask Him to help you enlarge the place of your tent.
    • Pray that He would show you how to “let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings,” and that “they,” whoever “they” are, would enlarge the place of your tent and stretch out the curtains of your dwellings.
    • Pray that God would expand you to the right and to the left, and that your children and spiritual children would inherit the nations and make those desolate cities to be inhabited.
    • Ask the Lord to keep you from being ashamed or disgraced in anything. Remind Him and thank Him for the fact that His Word says you will NOT be put to shame!
    • Ask the Lord to bless you indeed, to enlarge your territory, that His hand would be with you, that He would keep you from evil, and that you would not cause pain.
    • Ask the Lord to answer you, and to show you the answers to your prayers. Pray that His name would defend you; that He would send you help from His sanctuary in Heaven; that He would strengthen you out of Zion; that He would remember your sacrifices and your offerings; and that He would grant you according to your heart’s desire and fulfill all your purpose and petitions.
    • Ask the Lord to answer you “from His holy heaven with the saving strength of His right hand” (from Psalm 20:1-6).
    • Thank Him, and give Him all the praise!

Beloved, if you will pray through these Scriptures in faith, you will see change.

    Jesus said:

“If you ask anything in My name, I will do it” (John 14:14 NKJV).

And if you will ask God for wisdom, growth, increase, and expansion, believing that He means what He says, and that His promises are for you, God’s Word promises you miraculous results.
