“It’s Time to Dream Again,” Says the Lord!

Has life gotten you so beaten down that you are having a hard time finding your dreams? If so, this word of encouragement is going to minister deeply to you.

Friend, first let me say:

If you are having a hard time remembering your dreams, you are not alone.

Yesterday, I was spending time with the Lord when He told me to write down 20 things I am asking Him to do. If I were in a normal season, this would be no problem. I have prayer list after prayer list with literally hundreds of things on them that I am asking Him to do.

However, yesterday, I almost couldn’t do it. And my response went like this:

• Putting down my pen with feelings that I can only describe as a mix between doubt, unbelief, sadness, disillusionment, and disgust;
• Getting convicted by the Holy Spirit;
• Picking up my pen again and writing maybe 3-5 things;
• Setting my pen down again and praying, realizing that I felt so discouraged I could not even think of something to dream; and
• Praying awhile until the Lord gave me the courage to write down what was on my heart.

The funny thing is that maybe none of the things I wrote down after that were new.

God already knew them all, and I’ve prayed about all or nearly all of them before. I’ve prayed; I’ve fasted; I’ve prayed the promises back to God.

But I had allowed myself to get so discouraged and disillusioned that I had forgotten to look up to Him in faith and believe that He would still do these things.

These things can happen to anybody when you’ve been disappointed over and over.

However, after the Lord helped me finally walk through this exercise of remembering just a few things that I have been believing Him for for a long time, I heard Him say:

“It’s time to dream again.”

And then, between yesterday and today, He spoke this word to me; and it is both for you and for me and for anybody whose spirit bears witness.

This is what the Lord said:

“It’s time to dream again. Life has gotten you so beaten down that you have forgotten to dream, My beloved. I mean, you have forgotten to dream for you. Not just for others should you dream; I want you to dream for you too.

For I know your heart for others, and I know that you are pouring out all you’ve got every day.

And I know how difficult it is to pour and pour, but never have anyone care about you the way you care about others. But you have not been neglected, My friend–because I am taking care of you. I am raising you up.

I know that you have been disappointed so many times of late, but I promise you that I am working behind the scenes–and that I am working all this out for your good. I know it has been hard to hang in there, but I am literally holding you up with My hands, so you can walk.

And the weapons of your warfare in this season are not carnal.

You cannot war in your own strength. You cannot push through in human effort enough to survive, let alone thrive. But I am reminding you of your praise and worship; for in this season, praise is the road to the Fountain of blessing and new life–Who is My Son, Jesus.

I remember when you used to get lost in your worship of Me. And life has stolen that from you. But it is My topmost priority to give that back to you in this season of healing, for My presence and My comfort minister to you like no other thing can minister to you. And I am always with you, but I desire you to sense My love and affection, and to have your spirit washed in the living water that is Who I Am.

For this to happen, and for you to receive all the healing I have for you, it is necessary for you to bask in My presence again. So I am healing your ability to focus on Me, and I am ministering remembrance to you of how I have brought you through all that you have been through.

I am awakening your tehillah praise, right in the midst of the desert of life.

I am giving back to you that awareness of My presence, and of My goodness. And I did not steal it, but I have reclaimed it from the enemy and am ministering healing to you in this area, restoring to you the ability to drink from Me, the Fountain that never runs dry. And I am healing your soul with each moment in My manifest presence, for greater am I Who live in you than he who is in the world.

As I do this, I am reawakening your ability to dream.

It is time to dream again, My beloved child. It is time to let My dreams flow through the River of Life, the Holy Spirit, into your spirit; for I am calling you back to life and love and hope and peace. And I am making all things new for you, even when you do not see hope for the moment.

It is time to dream again: to dream big dreams that bring glory to Me, that reflect My goodness, and which manifest My greatness on the earth. And it is time to receive a renewed vision from Me, for hope deferred has made your heart sick–but the desires I shall fulfill for you in this season will be a tree of life to you.

All that you have asked Me to do I will do.

You need not navigate life alone; you are not alone. I am holding you up and holding your hands. I am walking you forward as a gentle Father does His tiny baby who is taking her first steps. All that you are is Mine. I still created you for such a time as this.

Your life is not a waste and you are not a failure. You have not messed everything or anything up. You have been faithful to Me, and I will see you through in this season and every season.

I am your Father Who loves you everlastingly.

Thank you for your humility toward Me. Thank you for acknowledging your dependence on Me. But I have heard your cries; I have seen your prayers and the beat of your heart; and I am all that you need.

I am ministering comfort, hope, and healing to you–and you shall live and not die. These problems shall not take you out; I will instead take you OVER. For you are more than a conqueror in My Son Jesus, and I am manifesting the victory through you in this season. Keep your eyes on Me, and you will see what I will do for you in the land of the living!”

Friend, I can only say “thank You, Father God, Lord Jesus, and precious Holy Spirit” for that word. Hallelujah, Lord God of Heaven and earth. We give you all the praise.

Beloved, do you receive this word for yourself today?

If so, let our Lord minister to you right now. He, and only He, knows the end from the beginning. His kindness is everlasting, even when we don’t feel like it is.

He is holding us up, even when we feel like we will fall. And great is His faithfulness, no matter what problems may come your way. The Lord gives and the Lord takes away. Blessed be the name of the Lord!
