Beloved, I’ve been in a prophetic whirlwind for the last several weeks, and it’s all about God birthing a new thing in your finances. Today, I’ll share the prophetic word the Lord has given me, along with some crucial prayer directives for you to pray over your finances at this time.
God speaks in pictures and strange events, and a strange event just happened that has everything to do with the Body of Christ.
What was the event?
It was the issuing of a coin, of all things!
Here’s the backstory:
The United Kingdom’s Royal Mint recently issued a £2 silver coin as part of its Landmarks of Britain series. This coin has the lions of Trafalgar Square on the front, with Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s effigy on the back. The coin looks like this:
When I first saw this coin, the Lord immediately told me: “The Lion of Judah is roaring over your finances!”
As some pastor friends of mine asked me about this word, I began to study into both the Scriptures and the symbolism on the coin. Here’s what the Lord showed me from that study:
1. It is no coincidence that the lion is on a silver coin.
The lion represents the Lion of Judah, Jesus. Silver is symbolic of redemption, and the fact that the silver lion is formed onto a COIN speaks of money and favor newly minted for the Body of Christ.
2. The lion, along with three more lions, are situated in Trafalgar Square. Trafalgar Square is the courtyard in front of Britain’s National Gallery (an art museum filled with priceless works of art). The lions are guarding some of Britain’s greatest treasures. This again speaks of treasures and wealth in the Body.
3. The number “2,” which represents multiplication and division, is seen here several times.
The coin has a face value of £2 (2 GBP). Each lion sculpture, in real life, measures 20 feet long by 22 feet high. The Lord is speaking here about multiplying of great treasure, which simultaneously requires the dividing off of some things.
4. Jesus is also the second Person in the Trinity. I believe the number “2” reminds us that all these things are paid for by the blood of Jesus.
5. Trafalgar Square is home to Britain’s smallest police box.
It was made to hold one officer, who would stand watch and guard against trouble from protesters in the Square. This speaks of the governmental authority of one person keeping watch.
6. This one-person police box is no longer used by the police.
It is now used as a janitor’s closet for brooms and cleaning supplies. I believe the Lord is saying that some people have left their watch. They have stopped using their governmental authority and have allowed cobwebs to grow up where they should be dominating in the spirit realm.
7. These lions are situated just a moment’s walk from both 10 Downing Street–the home of the British Prime Minister–AND the Churchill War Rooms, where Winston Churchill’s staff coordinated operations for the Allied forces during World War II. These things again speak of governmental authority.
8. The lions and Square are also quite near Buckingham Palace, the official residence of Her Majesty The Queen. This speaks again of your governmental authority. Remember that we are kings and priests in Christ Jesus!
9. The lions and the Square are quite near Westminster Abbey, where near-continuous, sustained intercession has gone up to the Lord since 960 AD. The Lord has heard the cry of your sustained intercession and is answering.
10. On the obverse side of the coin is the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, wearing her crown. The name “Elizabeth” means “Oath of God” or “God is satisfaction.” God is reminding us here of His oath to prosper His sons and daughters, and to satisfy us (Psalm 81:16).
11. The obverse of this coin also bears the inscription “D G Reg F D,” which represents the Latin words meaning “By the grace of God, Queen, Defender of the Faith.”
This is not only Her Majesty’s title, but I also believe it is a prophetic message/reminder to us. God Himself is fulfilling His promises to us by His grace, and HE is defending our faith by sending His prophetic encouragement.
He also asks us, His Bride, to avidly and ardently defend our faith in Him. Don’t let the world, the flesh, or the devil rob you of your right and inheritance–the right and inheritance which can only come to you if you maintain your faith!
Then the Lord took me to Isaiah 60 and showed me the following:
1. It’s time for financial UPGRADES.
Isaiah 60:17 says:
Instead of bronze I will bring gold, instead of iron I will bring silver, instead of wood, bronze, and instead of stones, iron. I will also make your officers peace, and your magistrates righteousness.”
In this verse, God lists four valuable building materials–bronze, iron, wood, and stones–and describes how He will upgrade each of them for you. In each case, He ceases giving one thing that’s valuable in order to give something that looks similar–but is far more precious.
As I studied this, I heard the Lord saying that it’s time for financial upgrades. He wants to upgrade your finances, wherever you are!
The Lord also showed me a very practical way to pray about this. I got out all the coins and dollar bills I had and lined them up in front of me in order of value. Then, with my Bible open to the passage above, I began to pray:
“Lord, let the pennies become nickels. Let the nickels become dimes. Let the dimes become quarters. Let the quarters become dollars. Let the dollars become hundreds of dollars. Let the hundreds of dollars become thousands of dollars, and let it all become silver and gold!”
The most valuable thing I had was a 2-GBP coin, but seeing the coins lined up in front of me, no matter how small they were, built my faith! The power of the Spirit was all over that prayer as I asked the Lord to take each asset and exchange it for a higher, more valuable, more precious asset. I asked Him to upgrade us financially, even to the point of sending silver and gold.
2. You need to roar over your finances.
Isaiah 60:4-6 says:
Lift up your eyes all around, and see: they all gather together, they come to you; your sons shall come from afar, and your daughters shall be nursed at your side.
Then you shall see and become radiant, and your heart shall swell with joy; because the abundance of the sea shall be turned to you, the wealth of the Gentiles shall come to you.
The multitude of camels shall cover your land, the dromedaries of Midian and Ephah; all those from Sheba shall come; they shall bring gold and incense, and they shall proclaim the praises of the Lord (Isaiah 60:4-6).”
In the phrase “the abundance of the sea shall be turned to you,” the word “abundance” literally means “noise, wealth, to make a loud sound.” The word “sea” literally means “to roar.”
Did you get that? To ROAR! The Spirit is saying, “The abundance, noise, sound, and wealth of the ROAR will return to you!”
The wealth of the ROAR will return to you!
To make things even better, the word “turned” means “to turn about or over; a reversal.” Beloved, it doesn’t matter if you feel like all the money on earth is going the opposite direction from where you are. The Scriptures say that the money which has been running AWAY from you is going to turn itself around and come right on back.
Notice that the word “abundance” also pertains to noise and a loud sound.
Beloved, if you haven’t gotten your mouth in gear yet, DO SO NOW. Do not waste another minute. Exercise the governmental authority that you as one person have in the Body of Christ, and start making NOISE over your finances! Speak the Word!
You also need to ROAR over your money!
As I was studying this passage in Isaiah 60, Holy Spirit told me to roar over our finances. So, I did. I looked at the money in front of me and let out the biggest, loudest, meanest, most sustained ROAR I could come up with.
That was a Monday.
On Wednesday–two days later–I received a check in the mail that had been written on Monday. It came at a time when we needed it, and it was the largest donation our ministry has ever received. The Lord sent it on the day I let loose His ROAR over our finances.
Coincidence? I think not.
If you’re reading this word and you aren’t roaring yet, stop reading right now.
Get out your purse, your checkbook, your wallet, some cash, or even some of the bills you owe. Get out whatever you have and ROAR over your finances. Let out the biggest, loudest, meanest, most lion-esque ROAR you can imagine.
Put your faith in God and His Word, but demonstrate your faith by agreeing with what He says. He’s the one that said it: The wealth of the ROAR shall be turned to you!
But it gets better.
Isaiah 60:6 says, “The multitude of camels shall cover your land, the dromedaries of Midian and Ephah; all those from Sheba shall come; they shall bring gold and incense, and they shall proclaim the praises of the Lord.”
The word “multitude” here means “To abound; copiousness; abundance.” And what are camels? They are the ships of the desert. They are hardy, strong pack animals, and they are used by merchants to carry trade goods.
What’s the symbolism? Simply this:
3. God is sending you wealth, trade, and provision.
He’s sending you gold and other precious things. Furthermore, He’s doing it in style.
Everything God does is MORE, and who He is is OVER. And RIGHT NOW, Abba Father is sending you silver and gold and trade and business and provision, and He’s doing it copiously.
Yes, God is bringing you silver and gold!
The fact that God says He’ll give you silver and gold in Isaiah 60:17 is important. God’s Word states that He desires to bring us silver and gold. Don’t miss this key, and don’t over-spiritualize it. I believe God DOES want to bring you silver and gold–but you need faith and revelation to receive it!
Silver and gold were THE currency of Biblical times, and God frequently blessed His people with these things. When He created the earth, He created these metals on purpose. He even went out of His way to point out in Genesis 2:12–right at the beginning of the Bible–that gold is good!
Our God gives good and perfect gifts, and He Himself calls gold GOOD.
So yes, when you read His promises about silver and gold, I believe you should take them literally. I also believe that these promises can be claimed for money in general, but I also believe that He wants you to have REAL silver and gold! (Click here for my blog post explaining that, along with a Biblical prayer for actual, literal gold.)
This is extremely important because Isaiah 60:4 says:
Lift up your eyes all around, and see: they all gather together, they come to you; your sons shall come from afar, and your daughters shall be nursed at your side.”
And in Isaiah 60:9, He tells us how those sons and daughters arrive and what they bring with them:
Surely the coastlands shall wait for Me; and the ships of Tarshish will come first, to bring your sons from afar, their silver and their gold with them, to the name of the Lord your God, and to the Holy One of Israel, because He has glorified you.”
Moral of the story? God is bringing you people; He’s bringing you business; and He’s bringing people who do business–and have money–to help you.
Yes, God is bringing you both the people AND the money you need.
The “ships of Tarshish” were merchant ships; trading ships; vehicles of business. Your sons and daughters are coming on the trading ships–the vehicles of business!–and they are bringing their silver and gold with them. They’re coming to you for the sake of God, who has made you to gleam and sparkle.
Did you get that? Your sons and daughters are coming to you, and they’re bringing you silver and gold for the Lord’s sake!
4. The people who are coming to you are kings and queens. They will both help you AND bring you wealth.
Look at this:
The sons of foreigners shall build up your walls, and their kings shall minister to you; for in My wrath I struck you, but in My favor I have had mercy on you.
Therefore your gates shall be open continually; they shall not be shut day or night, that men may bring to you the wealth of the Gentiles, and their kings in procession” (Isaiah 60:10-11).
“You shall drink the milk of the Gentiles, and milk the breast of kings; you shall know that I, the Lord, am your Savior and your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob” (Isaiah 60:16).
“Then you shall see and become radiant, and your heart shall swell with joy; because the abundance of the sea shall be turned to you, the wealth of the Gentiles shall come to you.
The multitude of camels shall cover your land, the dromedaries of Midian and Ephah; all those from Sheba shall come; they shall bring gold and incense, and they shall proclaim the praises of the Lord (Isaiah 60:5-6).”
You’re not going to have to go it alone anymore. God is bringing you people who will come alongside you to help build the vision the Lord has given you.
5. You’re going to see this. It’s not for a future time or for someone else.
YOUR heart will become radiant. YOU shall see it. YOUR heart will swell with joy (Isaiah 60:5).
Some of you have been thinking that you’re building for future generations–and you are–but you’ve been wondering if you will get to see the results you desire yourself. Like Moses, you’ve stood on Mount Nebo and you’ve seen the vision. However, you’ve wondered if you will pass over the spiritual Jordan before you ever get to set feet in the Promised Land yourself.
If that describes you, take this to heart: God’s Word says YOU will see and become radiant. YOUR heart will swell with joy. If you have faith to believe it, you’ll receive it. God cares about what you care about, and He wants you to see the fruit of the travail of your soul and be satisfied.
6. The time is now.
After studying Isaiah 60, the Lord took me to Isaiah 42 and emphasized these verses in my spirit:
Behold, the former things have come to pass, and new things I declare; before they spring forth I tell you of them” (Isaiah 42:9).
“I have held My peace a long time, I have been still and restrained Myself. Now I will cry like a woman in labor, I will pant and gasp at once” (Isaiah 42:14).
Many of us in the Body of Christ have been wondering why Papa God has delayed so long. I believe, however, that the delay is over. I believe the Lord is saying that He is doing these things now; and, the sooner we get into the flow with what He’s already doing, the sooner we will see the results for which we have prayed all these years.
God is both laboring and birthing at the same time.
In Isaiah 42:14 (quoted above), God says that NOW He will cry like a woman in labor; He will “pant and gasp at once.” The word “pant” here depicts the panting breath of a woman pushing a baby down the birth canal. However, the word “gasp” is different. This word means, among other things, “to inhale eagerly; to covet and desire.”
I believe the Lord is showing us here that He is both laboring to birth the new thing AND gasping with delight at seeing the new thing ALREADY BIRTHED at the same time. It’s like He said in Amos 9:13:
‘Behold, the days are coming,’ says the Lord, ‘When the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him who sows seed; the mountains shall drip with sweet wine, and all the hills shall flow with it.'”
What does this mean? I believe it’s happening NOW. Now. Yes, God is still birthing it; but the seedtime is running into the harvest. The plowman is overtaking the reaper. The baby is still being pushed out the birth canal, but that baby is also being enjoyed by Father who just pushed him out.
