Thoughts On Paying the Price for Your Destiny

Beloved, do you want to walk in the fullness of the divinely-appointed destiny that our Heavenly Father has for you?

If so, you will want to be prepared to pay the price.

Know this today:

There is always a price to pay for blessing and success. And your shoulders grow into the ability to pay that price.

When you first start out, you dream big dreams … but your shoulders are nowhere near big enough to be able to pay the price that is the cost of that dream. So, the Lord grows you: bit by bit and little by little, you learn and grow into responsibility.

But some people aren’t willing to pay the price. They want the success without the pain, and the Lord doesn’t work that way. Life doesn’t work that way. Success doesn’t work that way, and blessing doesn’t come unless you meet the conditions first.

Then there are the people who are jealous of your results and fruit, but they aren’t willing to pay the price that it took for you to get there.

They only see the outward results of your success and work, but they aren’t willing to put in the late nights, put in the early mornings, give up watching TV, learn to stand up for the Word, for yourself, and for what’s right when nobody else will, establish and keep healthy boundaries, refuse to cast your pearls before swine, and PERSEVERE day after day, month after month, year after year …

… when all appearances tell you to quit.

When your heart hurts so bad that you wish you could quit.

When all you want to do is hide your face in a pillow and never face the world again …

… but you get up, get dressed, and do your thing another day …

… because He Who called you is worthy.

People want your blessings, but they aren’t willing to put in the price that it took you in order to get those blessings.

Or, they are just beginning to pay their own price, but ten years ago they were happy in bondage—and you weren’t; so, now they are mad because you got out of your bondage, freed yourself from your chains, and walked forward into prosperity—and they didn’t.

And so, they get jealous and envious of the very same things they could have if they had not been content in their own bondage way back then. But they were, and so now they aren’t where they wish they could be, and they get resentful of you for being there—when you took the steps and they didn’t.

There is always a price to be paid. And if you want to walk forward with God, you have to pay it yourself.

No one else can pay it for you. You have to put in the work; no one else can put it in for you.

You have to decide to stand up for what’s right; nothing at all will happen unless you do. And you have to believe in God’s call on your life for yourself, and pursue it; no one else can ever believe for you hard enough or long enough to make your call happen. You have to decide that, when God called you, it was a mandate and not a suggestion; and that you are doing to be a steward who is found faithful.

No one else can do this on your behalf. You have to stand up and pay the price. And it is wrong for anyone to be jealous of you when you have paid that price and they haven’t.
