Welcome to Day 14 of 21 Days of Praying for Your Ministry. Today, in the morning, we are praying for peace in your heart, come what may. And in the evening, we are praying for strength for you–both as a human being and as a minister of the Gospel.
Every person needs the peace of God.
Life happens. Bad things happen, and stress happens. However, through it all, God has promised that He can and will give you perfect peace. You don’t have to walk through your life in anxiety, depression, discouragement, chaos in your mind, or turmoil in your heart. He will give you perfect peace.
Of course, we are all working on arriving at this level of maintaining perfect peace. For myself personally, I know that I have great peace on some days–but on other days I get upset or discouraged!

Over the years, however, the Lord has been helping me to increase the percentage of days on which I have peace (it used to be 0%), 🙂 and to decrease the percentage of my days on which I am discouraged. I have made great progress, but I for one will admit that I still have plenty of improvement still to go!
If you’re willing to aim for peace, the Lord will disciple you the same way. And as you work on abiding in Him each day, resting in Him, keeping your thoughts trained on Him, and quietly trusting Him despite the stressors of your life, your level of peaceful days will increase dramatically over time. Sometimes it doesn’t even take very long at all to see rapid improvement, once you begin focusing on the effort of staying in peace!
Read these amazing Bible promises to build your faith for total peace in your heart:
Isaiah 26:3-4: “You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. Trust in the Lord forever, for in Yah, the Lord, is everlasting strength” (Isaiah 26:3-4 NKJV).
John 14:27: “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid” (John 14:27 NKJV).
How do you rest in God and reach your destiny at the same time?
Get Jamie’s book Rest in God, Reach Your Destiny to receive prophetic encouragement about resting AND learn, practically speaking, HOW to rest in God every day!
Philippians 4:6-7: “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:6-7 NKJV).
Colossians 3:15: “And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful” (Colossians 3:15 NKJV).
Psalm 34:14: “Depart from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it” (Psalm 34:14 NKJV).
2 Thessalonians 3:16: “Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace always in every way. The Lord be with you all” (2 Thessalonians 3:16 NKJV).
Aren’t those beautiful verses?
If you’re ready to walk in new levels of peace in your heart, pray as follows through these passages:
- Tell the Father that you come before Him in Jesus’ name.
- Thank Him for His exceedingly great and precious promises, all of which are FOR YOU. 🙂
- Bless His name, and praise Him, for loving you so much, and for caring about you and helping you with the state of your heart and mind!
- Ask the Lord to help you fix your mind on Him. Pray that He would train you and teach you, helping you to keep your mind stayed on Him at all times–even if it takes you some practice. Pray that He would not let you go about this.
- Ask Him to keep you in perfect peace as your mind is stayed on Him.
- Ask Him to help you trust Him implicitly, and to root out and expose any places in your heart where you do not trust Him–and to convict you about those places, helping you to replace (even accidental) distrust with total trust.
- Thank Jesus for leaving His peace with you, and for giving His peace to you.
- Pray that your heart would rest totally in Jesus, and that you would not be afraid.
- Pray that you would “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving,” you would make your requests known to God.
- Ask the Lord to fill you with perfect peace (which surpasses all understanding) as you do this.
- Pray that He would help you to guard and keep your heart, and that His peace will also guard your heart and mind in Christ.
- Pray that God’s peace would govern in your heart, and that you would only make decisions that you have peace about.
- Ask the Lord to help you to “seek peace and pursue it”; that He would convict you about any areas in your life (work, church, relationships, etc.) where you do not have peace, and would help you aggressively make the changes you need to make in order to obtain peace.
- Pray that Jesus, the Lord of Peace, would “give you peace always in every way.”
- Pray that you would feel His presence and affection today in all things, and that He would help you to abide in Him.
- Thank Him and give Him all the praise!

And in the evening, we are asking the Lord for strength for you.
Read these promises in which God promises to give you strength:
Isaiah 40:27-31: “Why do you say, O Jacob, and speak, O Israel: “My way is hidden from the Lord, and my just claim is passed over by my God”?
Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable.
He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall, but those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint” (Isaiah 40:27-31 NKJV).
Isaiah 41:8-10: “‘But you, Israel, are My servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the descendants of Abraham My friend. You whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, and called from its farthest regions, and said to you, ‘You are My servant, I have chosen you and have not cast you away:
Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God, I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand’” (Isaiah 41:8-10 NKJV).
Isaiah 28:5-6: “In that day the Lord of hosts will be for a crown of glory and a diadem of beauty to the remnant of His people; for a spirit of justice to him who sits in judgment, and for strength to those who turn back the battle at the gate” (Isaiah 28:5-6 NKJV).

Pray as follows for strength today:
- Thank the Lord for being the Source and the Fountain of strength.
- Praise Him for having and being all the strength you need, and for being your shelter in time of storm.
- Confess to the Lord any times when you have thought in your heart that God has overlooked your rightful claim on His provision, attention, help, or promises (“rightful” by virtue of the blood of Jesus, and the fact that you are hidden in Christ).
- Ask the Lord to give you power, for you are weak without Him.
- Plead the blood of Jesus over your mind, body, will, emotions, soul, and spirit. Ask the Lord to bring forth the great victory for you today in every area that Jesus paid for on the cross with His precious blood.
- If you feel that you have no might (which you don’t, in your flesh), ask the Lord to increase strength to you.
- Ask Him to help you wait on Him, and to renew your strength.
- Pray that He would cause you to mount up with wings like eagles; to run and not be weary; to walk and not faint.
- Pray that the Lord would help you to be aware of His presence, help, sustenance, and affection at all times.
- Pray that He would help you to not be dismayed when you look at circumstances around you, but rather to be reminded of how great He is.
- Pray that the Lord would fill you right now with His perfect love, which casts out all fear.
- Ask the Lord to strengthen you, help you, and uphold you with His righteous right hand.
- Pray that He would give you strength and endurance particularly as you minister for His sake and serve others.
- Pray for a great anointing of perseverance, for only His strength can help you persevere.
- Ask the Lord to be a crown of glory to you; a diadem of beauty to you; a spirit of justice for you; and that He would be strength for you, since you are fighting the good fight of faith.
- Thank Him and give Him all the praise, for He alone is worthy!
Beloved, Jesus will give you strength when you are weak.
Do not fear or be afraid! Don’t look at the circumstances and be overwhelmed by them! God is with you, and He is your refuge and portion. He is a very present help in trouble. And even if you are overwhelmed or exhausted today, He will strengthen you.
