Day 15: Angelic Assistance and Birthing New Things

Welcome to Day 15 of Morning and Night: 21 Days of Praying for Your Ministry! Today, in the morning, we are asking the Lord for increased angelic assistance. In the evening, we are asking the Lord to birth new things in our lives.

If you are new to the topic of angels, you can read here to learn who and what angels are. Hint: They aren’t little cherubs that look like babies, floating around in the clouds.

Here are a few fun facts about angels, just to summarize what we’re praying about:

• Angels are mighty supernatural beings, created by God to carry out His assignments all over the universe.
• They can come and go between Heaven and earth (and who knows where else).
• They do God’s bidding, worship Him, and heed the voice of His Word.
• They minister to people on His behalf, carry messages to people from Him, and protect God’s children from physical harm.
• God has assigned angels to every one of His children, to help them.
• Sometimes, angels even appear in our dimension in visible form, for some important reason or another!

Isn’t that awesome? God is so good and kind, and it’s amazing that He takes care of us like this–not only Himself, but sending angels to help us too!

Read these Scriptures to build your faith for angelic assistance:

Hebrews 1:7: “And of the angels He says: “Who makes His angels spirits and His ministers a flame of fire”” (Hebrews 1:7 NKJV).

Daniel 10:12-13 (spoken by an angel to the prophet Daniel): “Then he said to me, “Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard; and I have come because of your words. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days; and behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left alone there with the kings of Persia” (Daniel 10:12-13 NKJV).

Psalm 103:20-21: “Bless the Lord, you His angels, who excel in strength, who do His word, heeding the voice of His word. Bless the Lord, all you His hosts, you ministers of His, who do His pleasure” (Psalm 103:20-21 NKJV).

Psalm 91:9-12: “Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, even the Most High, your dwelling place, no evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; for He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways. In their hands they shall bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone” (Psalm 91:9-12 NKJV).

And pray as follows, asking the Lord to send you increased angelic assistance today:

• Tell the Father that you come to Him in Jesus’ name.
• Thank Him and praise Him for being so kind and good to you, even on hard days.
• Thank Him for sending His angels to help you. Praise Him, for He is the Commander of all the hosts of Heaven and earth, and He is worthy to be praised!
• Ask the Lord for increased (even doubled or tripled) help from His angels today.
• Ask the Lord to send His angels to minister to you, to help you, and to defend you, fighting on your behalf and keeping you safe and protected in all things (and safe from every kind of attack and spiritual warfare in the spirit realm).
• Ask the Lord to have His angels minister to you with God’s holy fire, since His ministers are a flame of fire.
• Ask the Lord to send His angels to bring you messages and ministry from Heaven, from God’s very throne room.
• Just like God did in Daniel 10, ask the Lord to send any help needed to any angels who are delivering your blessings and answers to prayer.
• If there is war in the spirit realm over the answers to your prayers, pray that the Father would send His archangel Michael, or even our King Jesus Christ Himself, to fight and defeat the opposition of the enemy–and to send through the answers to prayer that He has for you.
• Ask the Father that His angels would listen to the voice of His Word that proceeds out of your mouth, as you speak God’s Own Word out of your mouth verbally. And ask the Lord to have His angels go to work, enforcing the Word of God that you speak out of your mouth, since they heed the voice of His Word.
• Because God takes pleasure in the prosperity of His people, and the angels do His pleasure, ask the Lord to dispatch angels on your behalf today to bring you the prosperity of every kind that God’s Word says is your portion.
• Ask the Lord to “give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways.”
• Pray that “In their hands they shall bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone.”
• Pray that the Lord would activate His angels to help you in your ministry specifically.
• Pray that, every time you go to minister, He would send angels to work actively and powerfully in the place where you are ministering, even if that’s your cubicle at work.
• Pray that your ministry would be marked by the ministry of His Holy Spirit, and by the ministry of His angels!
• Ask Him to send His angels to strengthen you and help you as well, even in ways that you don’t know you need.
• Then thank the Lord for the ministry of His angels, and give Him all the praise!

In the evening, let’s pray over two specific Scriptures about the new things God wants to birth in your life.

These two Scriptures are both found in Isaiah:

Isaiah 42:9: “Behold, the former things have come to pass, and new things I declare; before they spring forth I tell you of them” (Isaiah 42:9 NKJV).

Isaiah 43:18-19: “Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert” (Isaiah 43:18-19 NKJV).

Pray as follows for new things to happen for you:

• Tell the Father again that you come before Him in Jesus’ name.
• Ask Him for His Holy Spirit to pray through you and for you right now.
• Thank Him for hearing and answering all your prayers.
• Give Him praise and glory for His goodness and mercy toward you, and for the good plans He has for your life.
• Thank the Father for bringing the former things to an end. Thank Him that those former things have passed away, and that the time of new things is now here.
• Ask the Lord to tell you about all the new things He has for you, even now, before they spring forth!
• Pray that the Lord would make the new things He has for you to spring forth as quickly as possible.
• Ask Him to help you be completely on board with His plan for all these new things.
• Pray that He would make you so moldable and pliable that you never hinder His plans for you, but that you simply flow with whatever He asks you to do, without hesitation.
• Pray that the Lord would help you not to remember the former things, nor even to consider the things of old.
• Ask the Lord to make for you a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.
• Pray that everything in your life and ministry that is dry or unfruitful would suddenly become well-watered and blossoming like a rose.
• Take a moment to listen to Him, asking Him to tell you about His new things that He has for you. Write down what you hear, with all of the impressions that cross your mind!
• Then, pray about those ideas and thoughts that cross your mind.
• Ask the Lord to do new things through you and your ministry, and to fill you and your ministry with newness of life in every area.
• Thank Him and give Him all the praise!

Beloved, God wants to do new things for you and through you even today. And He also has angels assigned to you, to help you and defend you. That’s a lot of good news today!

What is the Lord birthing in you that is new right now? Stop and thank Him for it!
