Prayer to Make All Things New

Beloved, are you entering a new season–or do you want to enter a new season? Do you need God to make all things new in your life? If so, pray this simple prayer below and ask God to make all things new. He will hear and answer, and will fill you with His newness of life right now!

Beloved, God specializes in new beginnings–and He will give you a new start right now, as you pray.

He is the Giver and Source of life and newness. He fills us with new power and new mercy every day. As we read in Lamentations 3:

“Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness” (Lamentations 3:22-23 NKJV).

God has new mercies for you every day.

He desires to make all things new for you every single day! In fact, one of the reasons Jesus saved us is so we could walk in newness of life! Did you know that? The Bible tells us so specifically in Romans 6:4-6:

“Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin” (Romans 6:4-6 NKJV, emphasis mine).

And even at the end of the ages, it is His plan to make all things new.

As we read in Revelation 21:5:

“Then He who sat on the throne said, ‘Behold, I make all things new.’ And He said to me, ‘Write, for these words are true and faithful’” (Revelation 21:5 NKJV).

The God Whom we serve does not suddenly become a God Who makes all things new in the book of Revelation, though. He has always been that way! He has always been the Author of newness, of abundance, of power, and the Source of all life. As Jesus told us specifically in John 14:6:

“Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me'” (John 14:6 NKJV).

He was also making all things new even back in the book of Isaiah:

“‘Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.

The beast of the field will honor Me, the jackals and the ostriches, because I give waters in the wilderness and rivers in the desert, to give drink to My people, My chosen. This people I have formed for Myself; they shall declare My praise’” (Isaiah 43:18-21 NKJV).

Beloved, our God is God Who Makes All Things New.

He is always that way, and He will make all things new for you anytime. All you have to have is faith to approach Him, ask Him to make all things new for you, and believe that He will.

After all, God honors faith–and the person who doubts will not receive anything from the Lord. We know this from James chapter 1:

“My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. 

But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways” (James 1:2-8 NKJV).

So, can you believe God to make all things new for you today?

If so, pray the simple prayer below and ask Him to make all things new for you. You can pray this prayer anytime. It doesn’t have to be New Year’s Day, or your birthday, or your first day on a new job. Anytime you need newness of life from the Lord to course through your body and permeate your life in every aspect, you can pray this prayer to make all things new.

And as you pray, as long as you believe and have faith in God to answer, He will fill you and everything that pertains to you with newness of life by His Spirit.

Pray as follows today, making the words your own as necessary, and ask the Lord to make all things new in your life:

“Dear Heavenly Father, I come before You in Jesus’ name.

Abba Father, You are the Giver of life. You are my Creator and Sustainer. All that I have is only because You gave it to me, and everything I am that is good is only because You saved me and changed me and put good things in me.

Thank You, Father. Thank You for being the Source of everything to me. I praise You, Lord, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Marvelous are Your works, and my soul knows it right well!

Holy Father, in Jesus’ name, You see that I am beginning a new season today. I thank You for this new season, and I am petitioning You for Your help today.

Lord, I am asking You to make all things new in my life.

I thank You that I was buried with Christ in baptism and raised to walk in newness of life. I thank You that You and Jesus and Your Holy Spirit make all things new continually.

You are the only One who could do that, Lord. And so I am asking today that You would truly make all things new for me:

• Please fill me with hope and joy again.
• Let Your life roar through my body every day in this season, and in ever-increasing measure.
• Let Your breath fill my lungs with new fullness in this season.
• Fill me and my spirit with Jesus, the Living Water, anew and afresh. Baptize me in Jesus all over again today, I pray, in Jesus’ name!
• Let Your newness of life course through my veins, filling me with the power of Your Holy Spirit in new and fresh ways every day.
• Fill me with new levels of motivation and inspiration right now, and every day.
• Where the enemy has devoured, I ask for sevenfold restoration this year by Your Spirit.
• Where I have had to walk away from houses and mothers and fathers and brothers and sisters and children and lands for Your sake and the Gospel’s, I ask for a hundredfold restoration of all these things–this year.
• Help me to lift up my eyes to You and see new things–things into which angels long to look.
• Give me new revelation, new levels of Your wisdom, and new understanding.

O Holy Father, in Jesus’ name, I ask that You would continually make me NEW this year:

• I pray that I would wake up every day feeling GREAT because of how You help me sleep and take care of my body.
• I pray that You would fill me with new and fresh levels of anointing and creativity every single day.
• I pray for new focus, new anointing to make plans that are from You, and new determination and anointing to carry out the plans You show me.
• I ask for new levels of success in this season, and that this would be the most successful season of my life so far–the way You define success–and that each year would just keep getting better after this.
• I ask You for newness of life in my finances, and that this would be the most financially prosperous season of my life so far–and that I would just keep getting more prosperous every day, month, and year after today, by Your Spirit, Your power, Your wisdom, and Your help.
• Fill me with new inspiration and help in my stewardship of all things You have entrusted to me. Make me a better steward than I ever have been before, I pray, in Jesus’ name.
• I pray that You would help me walk in Your divine healing, today and every day, and become healthier every single day.
• I pray for new and fresh levels of JOY unspeakable and full of glory, every single day.

Lord, thank You for this new season.

Thank You for Your dunamis power that is mine by Your Spirit. I need You, Lord. Without You, I can do nothing–but with You, I can do all things.

In Jesus’ name, I ask You to help me set my mind and keep it set on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God; that You would help me to seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness every day, and that all these things would be added to me.

Thank You, Abba Father. Thank You in advance for the newness of life You are giving me, and I thank You that Your newness of life is coursing through my body, soul, and spirit right now.

In Jesus’ name I pray, amen and amen!”

Beloved, Jesus is the Giver and Source of newness of life.

And if you just prayed that prayer, believing, then He is making all things new for you right now. (You don’t even have to have prayed that prayer, specifically; you can even just call on Jesus and say, “Lord, make me new!”)

If you will continue to believe Him and seek Him first every day, you will see Him pouring out His newness of life on you in fresh, amazing ways every single day.

Thank You, Lord Jesus, for giving us newness of life!
