Morning and Night: 21 Days of Praying for Your Ministry | by Jamie Rohrbaugh | FromHisPresence.com

Welcome to the final day, Day 21, of 21 Days of Praying for Your Ministry! Today, we are praying in the morning for a fresh infilling of Holy Spirit fire. And in the evening, we are praying for and thanking God for His victory and triumph!

Beloved, if you’re going to survive this sin-filled world, you need Holy Spirit’s fire in your heart.

The fire of God’s Holy Spirit is what makes you burn brightly, as a light shining the light of God into this world. His fire is also that which makes you jump out of bed in the morning to seek Him in prayer and the Word, even when your body complains and would rather stay in bed.

To take it further, the fire of the Holy Spirit is what makes you preach His Word with power–and, more importantly, believe His Word with fervor! His fire is what compels you to live your life for Jesus, seeking to give your all to the One Who already gave His all to you.

Let’s look at just a few of the incredible things God’s Word has to say about the fire of the Holy Spirit.

First, that fire can be in you to preach and speak the Word of God, as it was in Jeremiah:

Jeremiah 20:9: “Then I said, “I will not make mention of Him, nor speak anymore in His name.” But His word was in my heart like a burning fire shut up in my bones; I was weary of holding it back, and I could not” (Jeremiah 20:9 NKJV).

And Jesus will actually baptize you in His Spirit and fire:

Matthew 3:11: “I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire” (Matthew 3:11 NKJV).

We should all desire to be baptized in the Holy Spirit and fire, because our God deserves to have us burn with love for Him.

After all, He Himself is a consuming fire:

Hebrews 12:28-29: “Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. For our God is a consuming fire” (Hebrews 12:28-29 NKJV).

And His fire will change you and your lifestyle forever.

The fire of God changes your heart and also compels and propels you out into His harvest field, full of His power and zealous for your Kingdom assignment. As we read about Isaiah and also the early church:

Isaiah 6:6-7: “Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a live coal which he had taken with the tongs from the altar. And he touched my mouth with it, and said: “Behold, this has touched your lips; your iniquity is taken away, and your sin purged”” (Isaiah 6:6-7 NKJV).

Acts 1:8: ““But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth”” (Acts 1:8 NKJV).

Acts 2:1-4: “When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance” (Acts 2:1-4 NKJV).

So, let’s not wait another minute! Are you ready to pray and ask the Lord to fill you with His Holy Spirit and fire?

Pray as follows for Holy Spirit fire:

    • Tell the Father that you come to Him in Jesus’ name.
    • Thank Him and praise Him for all you can think of!
    • Thank the Lord for being the One Who baptizes in His Holy Spirit and fire.
    • Ask Jesus to fill you with His fire today; to baptize you anew and afresh in His Spirit, His fire, His power, His glory, and His love.
    • Ask Him to make His Word to be like a burning fire inside of you, and to help you preach it with power everywhere you go.
    • Ask the Lord to consume your heart with His Own fire, so that you burn with love for Him–and so that you burn for everything He loves.
    • Ask Him to cleanse your lips, your heart, and your life with His fire.
    • Ask Him to fill you with His dunamis power that gets things done and accomplishes miracles on the earth!
    • Pray that the Lord would use you as His powerful, fire-filled witness, from your hometown to all the ends of the earth!
    • Ask the Lord to make His fire in you contagious, so that all who are impacted by your ministry also get filled with His Holy Spirit and fire!
    • Pray that all your spiritual sons and daughters–and all the people to whom you minister–would burn for the Lord and have the fire of His Word burning inside their hearts.
    • Thank Him, and give Him all the praise!

In the evening, we are praying and thanking the Lord for His VICTORY and triumph!

Look at just a few of the passages in God’s Word about the Lord’s victory and triumph in your life:

2 Corinthians 2:14: “Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place” (2 Corinthians 2:14 NKJV).

1 Corinthians 15:57: “But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Corinthians 15:57 NKJV).

John 16:33: “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world” (John 16:33 NKJV).

See the fruit that abounds to your account …
And still more fruit that remains …
And these are just the tip of the iceberg!

Romans 8:37: “Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us” (Romans 8:37 NKJV).

1 John 5:4: “For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith” (1 John 5:4 NKJV).

Deuteronomy 20:3-4: “And he shall say to them, ‘Hear, O Israel: Today you are on the verge of battle with your enemies. Do not let your heart faint, do not be afraid, and do not tremble or be terrified because of them; for the Lord your God is He who goes with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you’” (Deuteronomy 20:3-4 NKJV).

What incredible passages these are about victory and triumph!

Beloved, I know it can be so easy to forget the power and victory that we have in Christ when we look at all the stresses and cares of this world. However, we have to set our eyes on Jesus, so that we can stay STRONG in the Lord!

As His Word says in Colossians:

“If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth” (Colossians 3:1-2 NKJV).

O my friend, VICTORY is your portion!

I know you’re facing various troubles today, but those troubles are NOTHING compared to Jesus. Jesus IS our victory, and He IS our peace and strength. And greater is HE (Jesus) Who is in you than he (the enemy) who is in the world! Thank You, Jesus!

(By the way, it would bless your life to meditate on these Scriptures about victory often. They will give you hope.)

Are you ready to pray? Let’s pray as follows about victory and triumph today:

    • Tell the Father that you come to Him in Jesus’ name.
    • Thank Him and praise Him for His strong hand and His outstretched arm at work in your life!
    • Thank Him right now for always leading you in triumph in Christ.
    • Ask Him to use you and your life to diffuse the fragrance of Jesus in every place.
    • Thank Him for the blood of Jesus, which purchased VICTORY for us in every area.
    • Praise Him for being the Victorious, Conquering King!
    • Ask the Lord to help you to be of good cheer, and to remember that He has overcome the world.
    • Pray that He will help you to set your eyes on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God, so that you won’t be discouraged and forget how triumphant you are in Christ.
    • Ask Him to help you remember at all times that you are MORE than a conqueror in Christ, no matter what comes against you each day.
    • Plead the blood of Jesus over your faith, for it is your faith in Jesus that brings you the victory. Ask the Lord to help you stir up your faith, guard your faith, strengthen your faith, and protect your faith in Him.
    • Thank Him for adopting you and making you His child. Praise Him for your new birth in Christ!
    • Thank the Lord that you have overcome the world because you have been born of God.
    • Ask the Lord to fill you with His hope and courage, and that your heart would not faint, and you would not be afraid, trembling, or terrified for any reason.
    • Thank the Lord for going with you in all things.
    • Ask Him to manifest the specific victories you need today in your life and ministry.
    • Pray that the Lord will help you to teach others about His victory and power every single day, and that you would become a messenger of hope to them!
    • Thank Him and praise Him for fighting for you against your enemies, and for saving you!
    • Give Him all the praise and glory!

Beloved, I hope you have enjoyed this 21-day series of prayer points for morning and night about your life and ministry. We have prayed about a lot of things, but you can never pray too much. And today, I pray that you will mediate on and BELIEVE all of God’s good promises and Word to you about victory, hope, and triumph, for you ARE more than a conqueror in Christ!
