Beloved, are you really living for eternity? Do you care about God more than you care about anything else or anyone else?

I wonder about this a lot with the Body of Christ, because Jesus said that we will know one another by our fruit. He also said that, where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

And yet, the Body of Christ sometimes seems to not care much about Christ at all. I see some of His people truly seeking Him, but so many of His people are not seeking Him at all. They use Him as hopeful fire insurance, hoping to stay out of hell–but that won’t work for many, for they never made Him their Lord, so they’re going to be surprised in the day of judgment.

So, o beloved friend, I ask you today:

Where’s your heart? Are you living for eternity?

Do you seek God first every single day? Do you seek Him early and late and long? Or is He just a sideline to your life–a “side piece” instead of your Husband, your Friend, and the Lover of your soul?

Is He the Anchor of your soul? Is He the One you prefer the most? Or is He only a vending machine to you, where you insert a breathed-out prayer in the middle of everything else you are doing, and you hope to get out a response?

Is He all that you need and more? Or is He something you stumble over on your way walking by Him, moving on to bigger and more important things?

O beloved, where is your soul?

Is your heart fixed on Jesus? Or on the cares of this world?

Jesus said that you will know them by their fruit:

“Therefore by their fruits you will know them” (Matthew 7:20 NKJV).

And that we should live for eternity, laying up treasures in Heaven:

“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also” (Matthew 6:19-21 NKJV).

And that we should seek Him first every day (see Matthew 6:33). And yet, so many people who claim to be Christians only give God a passing glance during the day. They certainly don’t seek Him first. Many people don’t study the Word on their own at all, and statistically only 1 in 10 Christians actually give offerings/tithes to the Lord. (This number can vary depending on whose study you look at, but it’s very low across all studies.)

But, beloved one, Jesus is coming soon!

We don’t have time to be messing around and not taking God seriously. We have eternity to live for! We have to store up treasure in Heaven! We have to seek the Lord every day, and seek Him early and late and long!

O my friend, it’s time to give ourselves once again to the Lord in TRUTH and not just in name only. It’s time to become men and women of PRAYER, and of fasting, and of the study of God’s Word. It’s time to burn for Him with all your heart! It’s time to tithe and offer to the Lord, ceasing our rebellion and disobeying Him even in that area!

Jesus is coming quickly! We have work to do for the Kingdom, my beloved ones!

But do you really care about God? Do you put shoe leather to your words? Do you put works to your faith? Do you put your money where your mouth is?

Do you really care about God?

It’s time to wear out the carpet with our tears, and with the imprint of our knees in prayer. It’s time to fall in love with Jesus once again, seeking Him with all we have, and giving Him everything we’ve got.

He is worthy of that. He is deserving. He gave you everything–but do you give Him anything?

    Think about it!

Jesus is coming soon, beloved. There is no time to waste!

Please, please, please: get serious about your faith today! Fall in love with Jesus all over again, and make HIM the Total and Center and Passion of your life–and act like it in every arena!

He is worthy of this level of devotion, and He is the only One Who is!

    Love in Him,

    Jamie

    1. Excellent word to the body of Christ!

    2. I’ve prayed (after His reminder) and am have seeing changes in the last two weeks. The Church is His (something else He reminded me about) and He’s leading us with messages like this one. To those already seeking Him early and late and long: turn Jamie’s questions into prayers for your friends who are not yet on board.

    3. I almost feel like saying “guilty as charged”. I’ll say that attempting to pray for an hour(s) on my knees, I would most certainly need the spiritual and physical healing, comfort, and endurance (and if whatever else that may be needed) of the LORD to do so. {I don’t mean to sound negative – forgive me if I do – but if I be correct in what I’ve said, then please pray, if needed, that the LORD will help all of us, His children, concerning these need(s)}
If I be correct in this, my greatest hindrance(s) in praying (even if I attempt to pray long) is weariness, physical pain, lack of endurance, perseverance, and motivation. I’m sorry if I just put a damper (if this is the correct word to use and it’s not a bad word) on everyone’s parade; forgive me, as someone else said, for unburdening my heart; I solicit everyone’s prayers, and I pray the LORD help everyone in their endeavors (if I use the correct word). I thank the LORD for this Word, Sister Jamie; may He minister to everyone’s needs who reads them.
Until Raptured, Let us persevere and be found without spot or wrinkle! In JESUS NAME!! Amen, and amen. (01/14/2026)
