10 Promises to Claim in 2026: January 9

Are you weary, burned out, broken, and exhausted in body, soul, and spirit? If so, this prayer to run and not be weary will help you pour out your brokenness to the Lord, asking Him to heal your heart and soul–and to lift you up on His Own wings, sheltering you and healing you again.
Beloved, if you are broken today, you are not alone.
Brokenness happens to all of us from time to time. Some broken seasons are long, and some are short; but they happen to us all. Even on the day I wrote this, I wrote it in order to pour out my own heart to the Lord. I needed the Lord to touch my own battered and hurting heart.
But, dear friend, God is near to the brokenhearted.
And if you are hurting and broken right now, He is right there with you. He wants to comfort you! His compassion is 100% for you because He loves you so much.

Look at what He says in Psalm 34:18:
“The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves such as have a contrite spirit” (Psalm 34:18 NKJV).
The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart. And if you are broken, wounded, battered, and bleeding in your heart and spirit right now, our Jesus is right there with you.
Yes, even now, where you are sitting or standing or lying down in this very moment, Jesus is with you–and He is manifesting Himself to you in an extra way, because of your pain–and because He wants to help you with your pain, to comfort you and to heal you.
Jesus loves you so much, my friend. And He died on Calvary’s tree for many reasons–one of which was to heal and comfort you in this very moment.
Jesus took all of our griefs and sorrows upon Himself on the cross so that we could receive comfort right now. He said so in Isaiah 53:
“Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed” (Isaiah 53:4-5 NKJV).
He literally carried all our griefs and sorrows, agonies and pains, right with Him to the cross. He took them upon Himself, and they broke Him and battered Him and bruised Him–so that WE could be healed, comforted, and ministered to.
(Everything that we can receive from the Lord is only available to us because of the blood of Jesus. Without Jesus’ blood, we could receive nothing from the Lord–not comfort, not healing, and not salvation. Jesus paid the price for you to be saved AND healed, comforted, encouraged, helped, strengthened, and delivered from every affliction and pain. And He did it all by His blood.)

Therefore, even if you are feeling battered and broken in your spirit today, God will strengthen you, help you, and encourage you RIGHT NOW.
I’ve been praying through Isaiah 40:27-31 today, and I believe this promise is what you need also in this exact moment. This passage says:
“Why do you say, O Jacob, and speak, O Israel: ‘My way is hidden from the Lord, and my just claim is passed over by my God’?
Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength.
Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall, but those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint” (Isaiah 40:27-31 NKJV).
And O, beloved, this promise is for you.
No matter how broken and wounded your heart feels; no matter how much you don’t want to go on; no matter how badly you wish you could crawl into your bed and hide under the sheets forever, God wants to comfort your soul today. He wants to renew your strength and joy. He wants to give you POWER, and to cause you to run and not be weary; to walk and not faint.

Yes, Jesus wants you to be able to move forward. And He knows that you cannot move forward under your own power, but that you can with His power, and only with His power, according to these two verses below:
“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing” (John 15:5 NKJV).
And also:
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13 NKJV).
And because He knows you need Him, He is ready and willing and eager to help you RIGHT NOW.
Do you want that? If so, pray this prayer to run and not be weary; to walk and not faint:
“Dear Heavenly Father, I come before You in Jesus’ name.
Abba Father, You are good, and Your mercy endures forever. Thank You for being such a good God, and a good Father to me always. I praise You for Your lovingkindness and tender mercies toward me.
O Lord God, I’m hurting and broken, and I don’t want to go on. So I am asking You today to help me.
Your Word says that You give power to the weak. I am certainly weak, Lord, and I have no power or strength of my own. Would You please fill me with Your power right now, even in this very moment?
Your Word also says that, to those who have no might, You increase strength. I certainly have no might–no strength at all, not in my body or in my soul or even in my spirit, without You that is. Would You please increase strength to me right now? Would You please put Your very Own strength right into me right now, in this very moment, as I am praying to You?
I have waited on You, Lord.
Your Word says that, if I wait on you, I will renew my strength. I have met Your conditions, Father; but I am too weak to even receive anything unless You give it to me; unless You deposit it right into my heart, spirit, soul, and body with Your very Own hand. Therefore, Abba Father, in Jesus’ precious and holy name, yes, I ask again: would You please do that–depositing Your strength into me right now?
Your Word says I will mount up with wings like eagles; that I shall run and not be weary; that I shall walk and not faint.
It seems like all I do right now is faint–at least, in my heart. I am broken and wounded and angry and hurting, and I don’t want to go on. I have no strength or impetus of my own that would help me get up and move forward. I am completely helpless, and I don’t want to take another step … at least, that’s how I am in my flesh, because without You I can do nothing.
But You can change all this, Lord. And I am asking–no, begging–You in Jesus’ name:
- Please cause me to mount up with wings like eagles.
- Lift me high to ride on the high places of the earth on the wind and wings of Your Spirit.
- Cause me to feel, sense, and have HOPE again, please. I need Your hope; I feel so hopeless, wounded, and broken right now.
- Help me to run again, and not to be weary. I have been running so long, and the race has battered and bloodied me and my spirit. Please give me the desire to run again; the courage to run; the willpower to run; and the anointing to run, to hold fast my confession of faith; to stand firm in You; to be true to You, and to persevere, in Jesus’ name.
- Renew and restore and refresh my soul, so that I am no longer weary and broken, bruised and bloody, in Jesus’ name.
- Help me to walk and not faint. Show me at which speed I should move in every moment of every day–whether running or walking or flying–and, even when things are slow, and I am walking not running, please help me not to faint.
God, I will despair unless You lift me.
I’m almost there now, Abba Father, and I beg You in Jesus’ name to comfort me, nurture me, defend me, advocate for me, heal me, encourage me, strengthen me, protect me, and nourish me in spirit, soul, and body.
Please give me my joy back, Abba Father.
You didn’t steal it; the enemy and sinful people and twisted circumstances did. But God, have mercy on me Your child, I pray, in Jesus’ name, and restore unto me the joy of my salvation. Uphold me with Your generous Spirit, and take not Your Holy Spirit from me.
God, I am nothing without You. But You are my Everything, and You and You alone can help me right now.
Please lift me up on Your wings and shelter me under Your wings too. Keep me safe from the storm. Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved. Bring me into the land of promise that You have sworn to me in Your Word that You would fulfill, and heal my life and soul while You do.
Thank You, Abba Father. It is in Jesus’ mighty name I pray. Amen and amen.”
