11 Prophetic Words for 2021

Hey beloved,

I wanted to release the prophetic words for 2021 that the Lord has given me.

As you know, I also released a 40-point list of very specific things for Hebrew year 5781 here. The words below contain some overlapping of the time period, of course, but these are specifically what the Lord has told me He wants to do in calendar year 2021.

I have more prayer directives and such than the ones written below, but I will be releasing those in our first-ever annual prophetic digest, entitled Pray, Prophesy, Pioneer 2021. The digest will release soon.

Until then, however, and for those who don’t want the digest with all its prayer directives, sample prayers, and expanded prophetic words for the Hebrew year 5781 as well, this is what the Lord has given me specifically for the calendar year 2021.

Here are 11 prophetic words for 2021:

1. 2021 is the year of wisdom.

The Lord told me to read the book of Proverbs in 2021 because “2021 is the year of wisdom.” He instructed me, personally, to read the book of Proverbs ten times—and I think that would be good advice for everyone in this season.

2. The prophetic verse of the year is Proverbs 23:12.

Proverbs 23:12 says:

“Apply your heart to instruction, and your ears to words of knowledge” (NKJV).

And the Lord says to you today:

“Learn all you can in 2021. Study diligently in your area of concentration. Take it upon yourself to do this; take responsibility for it yourself. Pursue knowledge and instruction with all your heart, for in doing so you will learn what you need to learn to walk the blessed life with Me.”

3. Build your house in 2021.

Be sure to do this. Focus on it!

Proverbs 9:1-6 tells us this:

“Wisdom has built her house, she has hewn out her seven pillars; she has slaughtered her meat, she has mixed her wine, she has also furnished her table.

She has sent out her maidens, she cries out from the highest places of the city, ‘Whoever is simple, let him turn in here!’ As for him who lacks understanding, she says to him, ‘Come, eat of my bread and drink of the wine I have mixed. Forsake foolishness and live, and go in the way of understanding.’”

“Wisdom has built her house.” That means wisdom, at some point, was in the process of building her house—in other words, it’s a process; a point at which one arrives. It also means that the opposite of wisdom—which is foolishness—has not built its house.

Therefore, if a person is wise, they will build their house—but if they are a fool, they will not build their house.

It’s easy sometimes to build everybody else’s houses, but sometimes we neglect to build our own.

We take care of other people, but do we take care of ourselves? We care for other people’s health; do we care for our own?

You watch out for your employer’s financial interests at work, but do you “build your house” and diligently care for your own finances at home? You prepare for emergencies at your job, but have you prepared your own house and family for emergencies if one should occur?

Wisdom has built her house.

If you are wise, in 2021 you will build your house. Your own house. Don’t stop serving God and others also, of course, but build your house. Be sure that you do this!

4. There will be a great release of writers and speakers this year.

Isaiah 50:4-5 says:

“The Lord God has given Me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him who is weary. He awakens Me morning by morning, He awakens My ear to hear as the learned. The Lord God has opened My ear; and I was not rebellious, nor did I turn away.”

The Lord has given many people the tongue of the learned, that they would speak a word in due season to those who are weary.

I feel in the Spirit that many of these writers and speakers the Lord has ordained will be coming out of hiding this year. They will take steps to do what Father has asked them to do, for they are desperate to obey Him.

If you are one of those writers or speakers who needs to come out of hiding, the Lord says to you today:

“Come out of hiding, wherever you are. You are My chosen vessel to carry My Word around the nations.

I need somebody to be My servant who has worked out their own salvation with fear and trembling. I need people with a listening ear. The world is full of need; it is full of beasts who may devour, both literally and symbolically; it is full of hardships. But you are called to be My light in the dark places.

Do not despise the Word I have spoken to you in the dead of night. Do not despise the things you have learned in the dark. Do not neglect the responsibility I have placed upon you, for with revelation comes responsibility.

The world is waiting for you, My child.

Will you answer My call? Will you be faithful to steward well the blessings of revelation and compassion I have entrusted to you?

I am looking to redeem the years the locusts have eaten for you, but I cannot do that until you step out. What you are looking for is out there, in the realm of faith. What you need will only be given to you after you step out.

But step out on Me, using Me as your foundation and your guide. Depend on Me to keep you company; to keep you stable; to keep you hidden under the shadow of My hand. I am with you always, even unto the end of the age.”

The Lord also spoke to me that the writers and speakers should remember this verse and pray into it in 2021:

“But I am the Lord your God, who divided the sea whose waves roared—the Lord of hosts is His name. And I have put My words in your mouth; I have covered you with the shadow of My hand, that I may plant the heavens, lay the foundations of the earth, and say to Zion, ‘You are My people’” (Isaiah 51:15-16).

5. “It is the year of My help,” says the Lord.

Isaiah 50:7 says this:

“For the Lord God will help Me; therefore I will not be disgraced; therefore I have set My face like a flint, and I know that I will not be ashamed.”

And Isaiah 50:9 continues in like manner:

“Surely the Lord God will help Me; who is he who will condemn Me? Indeed they will all grow old like a garment; the moth will eat them up.”

The Lord says this to you today:

“2021 is the year of My help. You do not need to be ashamed nor discouraged. I am with you to comfort you, and I am with you to keep you. My help is an established thing; it is guaranteed.

In 2021, you will often find that My help is prepared and positioned for you before you even ask for it. You will experience the reality of ‘Before you call, I will answer.’

So call upon Me any time you need help, and it shall be given to you. Say My name, the name of Jesus, whenever you need Me and I will manifest Myself to you.

My help is for you. It is not just for someone else. My help is for you, for I see your every cry and I am the One catching your tears. You have no idea how close to Me you are, and you have no idea how close to you I am. I am in you, with you, and for you; never forget it!”

6. Help is coming specifically for the anxious and depressed who trust God.

Isaiah 50:10 says:

“Who among you fears the Lord? Who obeys the voice of His Servant? Who walks in darkness and has no light? Let him trust in the name of the Lord and rely upon his God.”

As I was studying this word, the Lord gave me this word for you if you’re struggling with anxiety and depression:

“I know you fear Me and love Me, but you have been a long time without feeling the light of My presence. I want you to know, however, that I am with you and have not forsaken you. My blessings are right here for you, and I will help you go out and get them.

I need you to meet Me at the point of your faith.

Your faith is not in vain, but you have to understand that I really do want to meet you there. I have help for you; indeed, I Am your Help.

So expect Me; seek Me; meet Me at the point of your faith; remember your first works and your first love and your first hope, for I have not changed. I am still with you to protect you, to comfort you, and to help you.

Step out with Me and see what I desire to do with you and for you and in your life. Be not afraid; I have not abandoned you; you are going to make it through just fine, even when you think you will not.

I know you cannot walk alone, but you do not have to for I am carrying you, and I will never let you down. Love, Papa.”

7. 2021 is the year of the blessings of Abraham.

If you’re going to receive anything from the Lord, you have to expect to receive. And according to the Bible, if you have given your life to Jesus, then you are entitled to every blessing God gave to Abraham because you are grafted into Abraham’s covenant with God through Christ.

If you want to receive the blessings of Abraham this year, study the life of Abraham.

Every time you read in your Bible how God blessed Abraham, remind God of that story in prayer. Remind God that you are part of the covenant He gave Abraham because you are grafted in through Christ. Present all the blessings God gave to Abraham back to Him in prayer, and insist in faith upon receiving them yourself (Hebrews 11:6).

You will be shocked at what God does in response to this study of Abraham, and in response to praying the blessings of Abraham back to Him.

8. Remember your calling and testimony in 2021. Pursue your calling aggressively, and use your testimony to open doors for yourself.

The Lord spoke Isaiah 51:1 to me for 2021:

“Listen to Me, you who follow after righteousness, you who seek the Lord:

Look to the rock from which you were hewn, and to the hole of the pit from which you were dug.”

The Spirit of the Lord showed me that, in 2021, pursuing your calling is going to be a big key to breaking out of the doldrums and monotony that have gotten you down over the years. Your financial prosperity is going to be wrapped up in your pursuit of your calling.

This year, remember what you are made of.

Who are you, really? What is your DNA? What gifts and talents do you possess that you have forgotten about? What brings you joy; what are your passions?

Figuring those things out and operating these things is going to be vital to your ongoing success.

Many people have gotten waylaid and sidetracked away from who they really are.

The daily grind, the monotony, the to-do list, and the expectations of others have eclipsed their passionate pursuit of Jesus and of who He has called them to be.

If that describes you, know that you can quit the doldrums cold-turkey. By deciding to aggressively pursue your calling, you can find your DNA again and reclaim what it means to really be yourself, operating in the power of God’s Holy Spirit.

Your rivers have not dried up.

I repeat: Your rivers have not dried up. You have simply stepped out of them.

In 2021, step back into the river. Rediscover your DNA—both what you are made of AND your story (the rock from which you were hewn AND the hole of the pit from which the Lord dug you).

9. 2021 is the year of increase.

The Lord showed me that many people have been answering His call all alone. Very few people have helped you and no one has understood you.

In 2021, however, people who have been alone and felt alone, operating all by themselves with only the help of Holy Spirit (but with only the efforts of one person to propel you forward) are going to be blessed and increased.

Isaiah 51:2 says this:

“Look to Abraham your father, and to Sarah who bore you; for I called him alone, and blessed him and increased him.”

Like Abraham, you were called to go out when no one else was going.

You were called to increase when no one wanted you to increase. You were divinely ordained to prepare the way before the coming of the Lord, when the Lord was going to show up in your sector in a whole new way … and no one else knew about it (or cared about it) but you.

But you were positioned for such a time as this.

In 2021, the Lord is going to reward your obedience.

He is going to reward your bravery, even though your heart broke at times. And in 2021, He is going to increase you before He increases others, for you prepared the way—and God never muzzles the ox that treads out the corn.

Think of all the ways God increased Abraham:

• He gave Abraham an heir of promise;
• He gave Abraham descendants numbering more than the stars of the heavens;
• He gave him servants to help him and do the work for him;
• His servants were/became an actual fighting force—an army who fought on Abraham’s behalf and won; and
• God blessed him financially, everywhere Abraham went. He even made Abraham’s enemies to shower blessings upon him!

In 2021, ask God for all these blessings and more. Remember that you are entitled by covenant to all the blessings God gave Abraham, including the blessing of increase. Believe it and ask God to manifest it!

10. 2021 is the year of movement.

Things are going to move this year that have not moved before for you. You are going to see rapid acceleration; God will do in a day what it would have taken Him all year to do several years ago.

The Lord wants you to know that your sowing has been heard and has been taken record of in Heaven. You were laying up treasure for this time, and your treasure has been getting results for you in the Spirit realm for a long time. Look for the results in the natural in 2021! Things, people, and places are going to MOVE!

The Lord says:

“Are you not the One who dried up the sea, the waters of the great deep; that made the depths of the sea a road for the redeemed to cross over? So the ransomed of the Lord shall return, and come to Zion with singing, with everlasting joy on their heads. They shall obtain joy and gladness; sorrow and sighing shall flee away” (Isaiah 51:10-11).

The Lord also showed me that we sang “Way Maker” as the prophetic song of the year in 2020. In 2021, however, we are going to walk through the ways He made. (See the song of the year at the top of this section.) The word of the Lord to you regarding this is: “Get on up and WALK OVER!”

11. Your desert will become a garden.

The places in your life you thought God had abandoned will suddenly spring to life again. However, in order to receive fulfillment of this word, you will have to walk in wisdom (see point #1).

In order to receive these things from the Lord in 2021, you will need to think God’s way; and if you’re not used to thinking God’s way, you can easily learn His ways if you focus on it (see points 1 and 2).

The word of the Lord regarding your desert is:

“For the Lord will comfort Zion, He will comfort all her waste places; He will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the Lord; joy and gladness will be found in it, thanksgiving and the voice of melody” (Isaiah 51:3).

I heard the Lord say: “By November, you will not even recognize your life compared to where you started if you will only do things My way. Pursue Me and everything I have, including wisdom. Wisdom will get you everywhere!”

Beloved, I pray these 11 prophetic words for 2021 will encourage you.
