6 Prophetic Words to Help You Look Up

Friend, do you find yourself cast down, battling sadness, discouragement, hopelessness, or despair today? If so, these prophetic words will help you take cheer and look up at the face of Jesus–the One who knows you best and loves you most. 🙂

The words below are six of the short prophetic words that the Lord spoke to me yesterday for individual readers (as part of our virtual book signing event). These words really ministered to my heart and encouraged me personally, and I pray that the Lord will use them to strengthen and encourage you also.

By the way, the words below are unisex. If a word below says “son” or “daughter,” it’s because it was originally spoken for a man or woman, respectively. Just interpret that with your own gender, because God is no respecter of persons.

Word 1:

“For you have been struck down, but not destroyed. You have been proverbially slapped in the face, but you did not lose hope that I could still use you. People have told you lies about yourself, but yet you still walk in the truth.

I will reward you for this great faithfulness to Me that you have shown, My beloved. I am even now queueing up some great things for you—promises fulfilled and life abundant. I am not leaving you to languish in despair while everyone else gets blessed because of you; I am also blessing you, because of who you are to Me!” says the Father who loves you and cares for your every need.

Word 2:

“I see how patient you have been, and how you have fought the devil’s temptations to pity yourself and feel sorry for yourself because you do not have what others have. But I tell you today that you have much more than others do: you have joy and peace in your soul, and that is worth a lot.

Nevertheless I see your afflictions and your faithfulness. I see how carefully you have stewarded what I have entrusted to you, and I say to you: ‘Well done, good and faithful servant.’ You have been faithful with little, and now you will be entrusted with much more for My glory,” says the Lord.

Word 3:

“I am with you always, even when you do not feel Me. In the same way, I am moving always—even when you do not see Me move. My work is not always visible in every moment, but I assure you that I am years ahead of you, for I am eternal. I am right now doing things for you that will prepare the way for you to be blessed in future years. And I am, likewise, right now bringing things together that I put together for you in past years, but you will see Me work the out for your good in THIS time.

I have not forgotten you, My beloved, even though I know it seems like I have sometimes. But I am perfecting all things that concern you. Keep your eyes on Me, and I will elevate you and bring you into a state of shalom—nothing missing, nothing broken at all!” says the Lord.

Word 4:

“I have made this day for you because you have been faithful to Me. You are in a time of promotion and reward, even if it does not feel like it. I am setting you up with the foundation you will need in order to see Me bring the pieces together at the perfect time.

I am building you a sure foundation, too; one that will not waver or flinch at the pressure and weight of My building. Higher and higher I am taking you as you make yourself lower and lower—getting more and more humble before Me, and serving others with excellence every day.

I see your faithfulness! I see your labor and travail! And as you have made yourself low, I am making you great in My good time, so that all will see it,” says the Lord.

Word 5:

“I see how faithful you have been, and I approve. But I am going to give you reward for your faithfulness, for it is not right that you should labor without reward. Do you not see that reward is tied to your work for Me? It is Who I Am.

I am generous with you, and I desire to show Myself as generous with you—moreso, in fact—as you desire to be generous with others. Do not think that I am neglecting you, for I am fighting on your behalf in everything; and I am sovereignly moving My hand to be gracious and good to you,” says the Lord.

Word 6:

“I see how you have been neglected at times—many times. But you have asked me to work in your heart to fulfill you, and so I will. I do not want you to be dry and weary at any time, day or night. I am going to move in your situation, to bring you perfect peace and joy again.

You had joy once, but the enemy has devoured it in some ways. Nevertheless, you have been a champion—more than a champion. You have endured so well; I am beyond delighted in you. I know it has been hard, but I am defending you as your Great and Mighty Warrior,” says the Lord.
