Welcome to Day 18 of 21 Days to Strengthen Your Faith! Today, we are talking about how you DO have a measure of faith–even on days when you think you don’t! You have faith because God gave it to you as a gift, so don’t despair even on hard days!

As a reminder:

In this series, we will examine one short Scripture passage each day.

Then, we will pray through it with a brief series of bullet-point prayers. Each day, our goal is to strengthen our faith by gaining greater revelation about the importance of faith in our lives, and how faith WORKS.

Here is today’s short video word of encouragement:

Our key Scripture today is Ephesians 2:8-9, which says:

“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9 NKJV).

Have you ever felt like you don’t have any faith?

If you think you don’t have any faith, then today’s Scripture should comfort you. Why? Because you do actually have faith; God has given it to you as a gift. Your faith may not be strong yet, but you do have a measure of faith!

    Romans 12:3 says:

“For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith” (Romans 12:3 NKJV).

God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.

So right now, whether your faith is little or big, weak or strong, you do have faith. And Ephesians 2:8-9 (our key Scripture today) tells us that the faith you have was given to you as a gift:

“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9 NKJV).

So since you DO have faith, you can CHOOSE to walk in faith today!

Faith is a choice, not a feeling. And walking by faith means living by faith every day, choosing to put your trust in God … whether you feel like it or not.

And over time, you can take purposeful steps to increase and strengthen your faith.

How do you increase and strengthen your faith?

    PRAYER GUIDES

21 More Days of Breakthrough Prayer

Do you need breakthrough in the toughest times? If so, the 21 days of detailed, bullet-point prayer directives in this book will encourage you, equip you, and help you receive the miracles you need from the Lord!

Romans 10:17 tells us the secret:

“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Romans 10:17 NKJV).

Your faith is built up and strengthened when you hear from God. And you hear from God through His Word–but not just the Logos, written Word of God. The Greek word used in that verse for “word” (“hearing by the word of God”) is rhema, not Logos.

Here’s the difference between a rhema word and the Logos word:

    • The rhema word of God is the on-time word that Holy Spirit personally speaks and ministers to you. It is His on-time word for right now:
      • whether you read it in the Bible and it jumps off the page into your heart …
      • or whether you receive a prophetic word of encouragement from a friend who hears God …
      • or whether you ask the Lord what He wants to say to you right now, and you just listen.
    • The Logos Word, on the other hand, is another name for Jesus and it also refers to the written Word of God, the Bible.

So you increase your faith by hearing personally from God through the rhema word of His Holy Spirit. Anyone can do that, and everyone should!

Harness the Power of Fasting and Prayer

Are you experiencing spiritual warfare? Strike back with the atomic spiritual weapon of fasting!

In this ebook, Jamie teaches practical tips for how to fast successfully and actually enjoy it. This book is full of miracle promises, prayer tips, eating tips, advice about FREEDOM FROM LEGALISM, and so much more.

But today’s biggest key is to understand and THANK GOD for the fact that you DO already have some faith to start with.

Even if you feel very low today, you do have faith. It is an indisputable fact, because God’s Word says He has given you a measure of faith. Even if your faith isn’t very big yet, you have something to start with–and you can choose to exercise it today and walk in faith all day long.

Are you ready to strengthen your faith today? If so, pray this with me:

    • Tell the Father that you come to Him in Jesus’ name.
    • Thank Him for the privilege of coming BOLDLY before His throne of grace, where we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. (See Hebrews 4:16.)
    • Thank Him for the gift of faith He has given you. Even if you don’t feel very faith-filled, the truth is that you DO have faith. Thank God for this right now.
    • Thank Him for giving us His instructions in His Word that we should walk by faith, not by sight.
    • Thank Him for giving you a sound mind and the ability to choose life, and choose Him, every day.
    • Praise Him for being worthy and deserving of all your faith and trust!
    • Ask the Father to give you revelation about walking by faith.
    • Ask Him to help you build and strengthen your faith every day.
    • Pray that the Lord would increase your sensitivity to His voice. Thank Him that Jesus said His sheep DO hear His voice. Ask Him to help you hear His voice clearly all day today.
    • Thank God for being The Word Made Flesh. Thank Him for the fact that, as The Word, He always has something to say. 🙂
    • Ask the Lord to help you choose to walk in faith all day long today.
    • Pray that He would help you notice it every time you are at a crossroad, where you have the choice to either choose to walk in faith or choose to walk in doubt and unbelief.
    • Pray that His grace would be sufficient for you, and that His strength would be made perfect in your weakness.
    • Ask Him to help you humble yourself under His mighty hand, so that He can give you give you grace, grace, and more grace.
    • Ask Him to help you make the right decision and choose to embrace faith in every single decision you face today.
    • Thank Him for hearing and answering your prayer.
    • Give Him all the praise!
