CHICKENS: Guatemala Miracle Report September 2024, Part 2

I wanted to share with you another update from our “Guatemala Miracle Crusade” for September 2024. We have so many stories to tell and photos to share; more than I can share in one article or even two.

But, today I wanted to share amazing photos of some of the CHICKENS that our ministry has helped to sponsor, along with our partner ministry, Ministerio Gracia Y Favor, and working in partnership with local church pastors on the ground! Scroll down for a photo gallery!

First, know that we are breeding and raising chickens in multiple places in Guatemala.

We have a number of families that have already been provided with chickens. But also, we are incubating chickens and multiplying them with the help of the pastor and local church, so that more can be provided to families (and the pastor can also be blessed) through the natural course of reproduction. 🙂

Some of the church’s chickens are located in a church in the country (which is like the bush-bush–very rural and poor and undeveloped), and some of them are located near the city church.

And our team was so blessed to get to see the city chickens, and also to visit one family with chickens while we were there! Here’s what happened:

On Monday–our sixth day in Guatemala–our men’s team was able to visit one of the families that has received chickens through this program.

The Lord is healing this precious family. When we first gave them the chickens, they were going through a really hard time relationally, as well as in other ways.

But now, the Lord is moving and is helping them find healing and restoration. The love from our pastoral team, the encouragement, the chickens, and more have helped a ton. So, THANK YOU!

In fact, this home visit was initially scheduled for Thursday, the day I arrived. However, our schedule was delayed that day unexpectedly, and we had to reschedule the home visit for Monday.

The reschedule turned out to be a God thing.

Because when our local pastoral team reached out to let the family know when we could come, it was a day that the husband was not going to be present. He had to work that day. And they told us that he parked his car and cried because he was not going to be able to receive ministry from our team that day. (We didn’t know that until later.)

So then, when things got delayed and we had to reschedule for Monday, the husband was so happy. He was able to be there after all, and he and his wife and lovely children were all able to just get hugs and love and encouragement and prayer. Our team was able to pray and ask the Lord for restoration for this family.

Here’s what that day’s home visit looked like–and yes, this is their home. It was about an hour and a half-long drive on horrible, under-developed roads to get to this location from where our team was.

Additionally, one of the local church brethren, a local businessman, caught God’s heart for feeding the poor on this day!

Brother David and his wife have been crying out to God, asking Him to show them how they could serve Him more in ministry. We had prayed for them and ministered to them several times, to strengthen them and encourage them.

Well, on this day (Monday), the Lord downloaded His passion for the poor into them. And they used a small seed that Pastor Kirk (one of our team members) had sown into them, to start their ministry with, to go purchase groceries for this precious family–and they want to continue doing the work of mercy as the Lord provides!

Additionally, the men’s team were able to lead a man experiencing homelessness to Jesus because of the chickens!

Before they went to visit this family, they were eating lunch at McDonald’s in the city, and a man approached them. They talked to him about Jesus and ended up telling him about the chickens, and taking this man with them to see the chickens that Jesus had provided for this family!

Well, during that trip to see the chickens, and while they were there, and before and after, guess what? Yes, they were actually able to lead the man to Christ during these conversations. Hallelujah! Hell lost yet another one–and God used CHICKENS to do it!
