Day 12: Affirming Your Royalty

Welcome to Day 12 of 21 Days to Strengthen Your Faith! Today, we are talking about how God is affirming your royalty by His own sovereign choice–regardless of other people’s opinions about you!

As a reminder:

In this series, we will examine one short Scripture passage each day.

Then, we will pray through it with a brief series of bullet-point prayers. Each day, our goal is to strengthen our faith by gaining greater revelation about the importance of faith in our lives, and how faith WORKS.

As you strengthen your faith each day, your confidence in God will grow–and you will also begin feeling more brave and willing to go on the great adventures God has for you!

Our key Scripture for today is Galatians 3:26:

“For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus” (Galatians 3:26 NKJV).

Beloved, you are God’s royal child–and it’s all by your faith in Jesus Christ. It’s not by:

• How many people like you;
• Who says what about you;
• Who affirms you or doesn’t affirm you or your decisions;
• Your physical ability or intelligence;
• How much money you have or don’t have;
• Your socioeconomic background; or any other thing.

Your sonship exists because of your faith.

You placed your faith in Jesus Christ, and God MADE you His child. As it says in 1 John 3:

“Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him” (1 John 3:1 NKJV).

It was God’s sovereign choice to adopt you as His beloved child, and it is His sovereign choice to keep you. And it always will be; His gifts and call are irrevocable.

God wants you to know today that you are His royal child because of your faith.

He doesn’t need anyone else to agree with Him about your royalty. He simply made you royal in Jesus, and you’re going to stay that way because GOD is keeping you.

You are God’s royal child, and nothing can ever change that. And it’s all by your faith.

So as we are strengthening our faith, meditate and pray through these points today:

• Tell the Father that you come to Him in Jesus’ name.
• Thank the Father for sovereignly choosing to draw you to Himself.
• Thank Him for His sovereignty in all things–and for the fact that He didn’t need anyone’s permission to have chosen you and promoted you into royal sonship.
• Praise Him for His goodness and kindness toward you.
• Confess any insecurity in your heart about your identity in Him.
• Ask Him to give you revelation about your royal status as His beloved son or daughter.
• Ask Him to help you “get it,” as only He can–way down deep in your belly!–that you ARE His beloved, royal child, and that He has chosen you, called you, and made you His own.
• Ask Him to help you walk daily in the understanding and revelation that you are a king and a priest unto Him.
• Pray that He would help you remember every day that your sonship is by your faith in Jesus, and therefore no human (or human opinion or criticism) can take it away from you.
• Ask the Lord to help you live in the total freedom, joy, and love that is rightfully yours by virtue of your sonship.
• Thank Him for making you His royal child, and give Him all the praise!

Beloved, there are many people and circumstances in this world that the enemy will use to try to make you forget how royal you are. But GOD wants you to know today and every day that:

• He chose you; while you were yet a sinner, Christ died for you.
• He ordained you.
• He placed you on the earth for such a time as this.
• He drew you to Himself. You love Him because HE first loved you.
• He saved you by giving you saving faith in Christ Jesus.
• In that moment of your salvation, He adopted you and made you His royal and beloved child.

God is affirming your royalty today and every day through these very clear Scripture passages.

I hope and pray that these simple truths will build and strengthen your faith.
