Prophetic Word: Look for Unusual Opportunities!

I heard the Lord say this morning that He is bringing unusual opportunities to His people. Here are some keys if you want to appropriate this word for yourself:
1. Look at Matthew 7:7-8 in a new way.
Matthew 7:7-8 says:
Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.”
We tend to skim over this passage or take it at surface value, but there are actually some very important keys in these verses. This passage actually contains instructions for three different ways to get three different kinds of things.
The instructions are:
- If you NEED a thing, ask for it.
- If you are LOOKING FOR a thing, seek it.
- If you need an open door of opportunity, knock on it.
These are not just encouraging Scriptures; they are Scriptures that reveal God’s strategy.
Too often, we mismatch God’s methods.
- When we need a thing, we look for it–but God says ASK for it instead.
- When we need an open door of opportunity, we ask Him for it–but God says to go ahead and KNOCK on those doors.
- And when we are looking for a thing, we knock on doors to ask if anyone has seen what we’re looking for–but God says to seek it ourselves.
So going forward, keep in mind God’s instructions. Every time you have a need, first determine which need it is. Do you need a THING? Then ask for it. Are you trying to find something? Then seek it. Are you looking for an open door? Then start knocking. Don’t miss out on what God is trying to do by confusing His methods.
2. I heard Father God say:
“To get unusual opportunities, you must have unusual openness to unusual ideas. I am a God of unusual possibilities. I am weary of doing small things. I desire to do big things for you and through all My people.
Be open to new strategies. Be open to going where no man has gone before and doing what no one has done before. Be looking for the trails no one else has blazed–trails that I, Myself, will show you.
To get to these trails, you must be in an unusual state of readiness. An unusual state of readiness means you travel light, you hear Me well, and you make decisions quickly when I lead you to do so.
Look for opportunities to arise quickly.
Discern carefully, but you will know that you know that you know an opportunity is from Me when it IS from Me. You will not have peace about the doors that I did not open. Only go through doors that you have peace about.
Behold, I am coming quickly.
Everything you need, I have. Everything I have is available to you. So ask, seek, and knock, and you will soon find unusual opportunities coming to you.”

YES ABBA I RECEIVE IT!! Yesterday I was talking to Father and I said Lord I know you like to speak to me in dreams, and visions and sometimes just speak but I am about to lay down and I need you to speak to me as I sleep and I had two dreams. One two blank checks were laid before me and the lady stated “are you going to just ask for what you want or what you need”!! Father I want both. Pray with me that I hear Father so clearly that a two-year old would understand.
I am believing to go to Sharon’s Nesbitt Supernatural Acceleration Conference after the Healing Retreat in September (so excited). I am believing God for a career that utilizes my degree in Psychology making more money so I can help fund His Kingdom works I am believing for my needs to be meet in abundance while receiving the desires of my heart. This is a Valid Now WORD. Holy Bible states that a 3 fold cord isn’t easily broken. Father also says let everything be done decently and in order.
I ,like you have a get it done list. Some things we can do as Father has already provided the talent and resources. And ,yes, there’s that list that is on a GOD LEVEL!
As we continue to build HIS KINGDOM COME, we can receive, from FATHER, to show everyone that HE IS ABLE!
How do I apply Ask, Seek, Knock? For instance, I Need financial help, who do I ask, seek or knock?
Great questions! Here are some ideas for any income challenge:
ASK: Ask God to provide for your needs.
SEEK: For a job, a second job, or a better-paying job. Whatever of those three you need.
KNOCK: Apply for those jobs. Pound down the doors until you find the job you need that gives you the income you need.
If you need breakthrough in another financial area, such as needing groceries for this weekend or something like that, ask for help at your local church. Go to your local food bank and apply. Things like that. Pound down the doors that are out there that will help you, and believe God to open them!
I will ask, seek, and knock for order and provision on the house I am going into contract on. Wisdom to know this is where He definitively wants me.

How do I apply this to what I need. I need financial breakthrough. I need my own house and a new car. I need a new job or start my own business. How, how, how.
I know you had this topic before, but im still fighting off jezebel spirits. My life is so complicated, I cnt see myself winning.
Great question. Sounds like you need more income. So my thoughts would be:
ASK: Ask Father God to provide.
SEEK: for jobs to apply for, even if it’s a second or third job in your off-hours–or if it’s a higher paying job.
KNOCK: apply for those jobs.
KNOCK: Start working on your new side business. Work at it really hard, and believe God to bless your labor.
If you can’t see yourself winning, you need to renew your mind in God’s Word. God’s Word says you are more than a conqueror through Christ who gives you strength. If you don’t believe God, then you’ll never receive anything from Him. So renew your mind in His Word first and foremost.
James 1:6-8: “But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.”
The Bible says you’ll never receive anything until you believe God. So start by hiding God’s Word in your heart, speaking it out of your mouth, and believing what it says.

Thank you Jamie I will do this. I’m going to a class about chronic pain management using alternative therapies I used to do alternative therapies but I’m not feeling Peace about this not sure why I really need clarity.

Hi Sally-Anne. I understand why you would have reservations. Some alternate therapies have their roots in New Age or middle-eastern religions and those actually open a door to the enemy in your life. If you have no peace about something, run from it. Colossians 3:15.

I am believing God for a much intimate relationship with him. How do I ask for dreams and visions from him because I don’t dream most days and when I do I can’t remember them?

I need Holy Spirit to talk to me and if I ask for direction or signs I don”t see that happening to mr. I would like him to talk to me even in dreams when I am sleeping at night. What must I do I don’ t want to do things through my own understanding.
Hi Maria, I was just reading through these comments after reading this awesome word from Jamie. I understand not wanting to act out of you own thoughts or reasoning but instead desiring to be lead by God. Sounds like you are in the right place for Papa to show you some amazing things. Don’t get caught up in signs or missing signs from Him. My advice to you would be to pray for wisdom!! He say as He will give it to uslimitlessly if we ask. Also our minds are curious things especially the way dreams work. Dreams help us to sort through all we have absorbed during the day. I believe as you keep your mind I. him, saturate yourself in His Word, Believe and claim His promises for your life that the dreams you desire will come. Remember God speaks to us all in ways that are unique to the way He designed us.. Enjoy and cherish the ways He speaks to you:). It may be through His Word, a word picture, through nature, a song or a dream. There are countless ways He can speak to you. Be encourage!! You are in the right track. The prophetic revelation you received is to “Look for unusual opportunities”.
All praise to God for being a miracle worker that he will work on our behalf when we
ASK anything believing.
SEEK him and His righteousness.
KNOCK for God to open doors only he can.
My question is.. if we’re going to look for unusual opportunities, the way in which you described about a job and asking God, then seeking for jobs and knocking the door so that we get our foot in the door, I say apologetically, isn’t “unusual”. We’ve used those methods of obtaining work many times.
I deem unusual to be in a way that as NEVER been done before.
When a job doesn’t exist and knocking down the doors of heaven for God to supply the need in a company that you haven’t got the credentials or qualifications to get any job, to me is unusual.
Hi Laurna. The questions you are referencing didn’t ask how to look for unusual opportunities. They asked how to apply the principles of ask, seek, and knock to their particular need. So that’s the question I answered. 🙂

I receive it. I’m looking for a promotion on my job. (More money). Me and this man from church had started talking. I was sure it was from God. He went to the pastor before we started talking. Everything was great. He said I filled a void in his life. He wanted a future with me. He even asked how long a couple should be together before talking about marriage. Last week his actions stopped lining up with his words. I stopped getting good morning text. He avoided me. Everything about him feels right. I’m expecting God to move. But what do I do
Hey Bell. I just answered your other comment, but also wanted to say, look at Jesus alone. Keep your eyes on Jesus and trust Him to either separate this guy from you if he’s not your husband, or bring him back if he IS supposed to be your husband. Either way, keep your eyes on Jesus.

I’m really sorry, Bell. I know that hurts. Did you happen to pray that Father would block it if it wasn’t from Him? Because that sounds like it could be the answer to such a prayer. Father is so good, He won’t let a guy mess with you that isn’t for you IF you are willing to follow Him on these things.
