The Lord gave me a comforting prophetic word that I felt like I am supposed to share with you today.

This word meant a lot to me personally because the Lord has been taking me into a period of hiddenness. Hiddenness is where you don’t “feel” God like you normally do. You don’t have the manifestations of glory and shaking knees in worship like you might have at other times.

Instead, “hiddenness” is a time when God plays hide-and-seek with you.

He’s always right beside you, but He pulls back on the manifestation sometimes because it makes you hungry and you will seek Him more. Then, as soon as you do, BAM! He’s right there.

So God has been taking me into a period of hiddenness. I have been through this a number of times before, but I must say I don’t love it. 🙂 And every time He takes me into hiddenness, I always wonder first if I have sinned against Him in some way, or grieved the Holy Spirit, that would keep me from those strong manifestations of the Holy Spirit.

After I pray about it and the Holy Spirit doesn’t convict me of anything, it’s usually only then that I figure out it must be hiddenness. (Sometimes I’m slow to arrive at the hiddenness party.) 🙂

So here is the word the Lord gave me this morning. It’s from Isaiah 41:8-11, and the Lord wants you to know:

You are the Lord’s servant. In Christ, you are the descendant of Abraham. He has chosen you and has NOT cast you away. You have not offended Him, and He has not abandoned you.

You are not to be afraid; but you are to rest in His perfect love. He is with you.

The Lord your God will strengthen you. He will help you. He will uphold you with His righteous right hand.

ALL those who were incensed against you shall be ashamed and disgraced. They shall be as nothing, and those who strive with you shall perish.

Is this word for you today too? Remember, according to 2 Corinthians 1:4, any comforting word the Lord gives one is for the comfort of all. So if this word speaks to your heart today too, would you leave a comment below and let me know? Let’s praise God together!

    Though I’m not personally experiencing this at the moment, I have been through it before. It does make me want more of Jesus. It has certainly built my faith. Thanks for sharing!

  2. Thanks for sharing! Yes, this encouraged me today!

    1. Thanks for this word, am really comforted.God bless you.

      1. I am in this season right now and it’s my first time. I asked the Lord who to listen to today and remembered you. Glad I did.

  3. What an awesome word from the Lord! I was feeling a little left out as the holidays approach us. My finances are very, very tight, and as I watched my family members buy, and then buy some more, I was thinking, Lord, am I chopped liver? I’ve repented from this, and has asked the Lord for forgiveness. He confirmed it through your teaching this morning.?
    Thanks you for sharing!!

    1. You’re definitely not chopped liver, Petra! I pray the Lord would bless and reward you abundantly today and give you wisdom and unexpected blessings, especially financial ones! I’m so glad He encouraged you! Thanks for sharing!

    2. I have been in this very place too. I am so grateful for this word to remind me that it was nothing I did wrong, but just the very fact that Holy Spirit wanted me to yearn deeper for His presence.

  4. You know, I never feel God. He is always hidden except for maybe a couple of times a year when I get the still small voice from him. I also occasionally get an “impression” but that’s it. Christians have told me many things as to why I don’t feel. I feel in other parts of my life and have had many years of therapy and SOZO. Do you think that’s odd?

    1. Lyn, I can’t really say since I don’t know the particulars of your situation. But I feel like I am hearing Psalm 84:11 for you:
      “For the Lord God is a sun and shield;
      The Lord will give grace and glory;
      No good thing will He withhold
      From those who walk uprightly.”
      I will pray for you today. 🙂

  5. Timely word. It explains a lot to me, I realize now this is what I’m experiencing and it drives the dissapointment away. Encouraging in deed and very much needed! Glory to God!

    1. I prayed for you as soon as I got this, Ivonne. Let’s talk. 🙂 I see God’s hand all over you and I know He is working in your life powerfully. I love you! 🙂

  6. I’ve been longing for and begging the Lord for those manifestations, but alas, nothing. It’s been a long time I’ve been asking, too. Same with healing. However, I just wanted to let you know that the scripture from Isaiah 41 is one of the passages He’s given me over & over & over regarding my healing. I stand on those words every day. I don’t know why it hasn’t manifest yet, but I’ve taken my position on them, am standing still, and I will see the deliverance the Lord will give me. (That’s from 2 Chronicles 20:17, another passage He’s repeatedly given me regarding healing.)

    I Thank You. For this word from Yeshua was right on time for me today. Thank you Jamie.

  8. Thank you for the word. It sure feel like God has hidden me away from things, some people and places. In this place I feel alone in the natural but I know He is always there :).
    During this time I am finding that I am seeking Him more and eager to know what’s next in my life. I have been working part time teaching for 3 years and I’m hopeful that I will become a ft teacher to help others and to provide for my family. This year I wasn’t able to provide like other Christmas that we had. But I had to explain to my youngest child that we are blessed. We have a warm home, clean clothes, food, love , each other and three people gave gifts to you and I was able to get something you like. We have to learn to be thankful in the little things no matter what. Thanks this word was encouraging 🙂

      I will pray for you to get that Full time Teaching position Hun. {{{hugz}}}

      You are so right in that you are very blessed even without the gifts this year. You have each other, warm clothes and probably more than one type of clothing and yada, yada. But the greatest thing you have is Family.

      I was forced by my own mother to give up both of my precious babies. Who then told them awful lies and now they want nothing to do with me and it tears me apart. Then my Family (except for my brother but he has turned against God completely) disowned me for moving to WA with the help of the sweet man and his family who are now my family. My health has gone downhill rapidly as in multiple Chronic Illnesses and most of them being hidden ones and Chronic intense pain. I am pretty much homebound and do not get visitors except when my one sis in law comes to visit. I am sometimes trying to run my crafting blog …just look up Masquerading Crafter if any one is interested in hearing my life story. It has been a long dark lonely road but there have been many blessings along the way as long as I keep my eyes on Jesus and off my circumstances and myself.

      But each day I wake up even though I am not able to do much anymore it a true Gift from God. That breath I took, A gift….That heartbeat…A gift….still barely being able to see and read….a gift.

      — Just this morning well, actually afternoon …but still my morning , I went to check my mail as I was using my walker to painfully walk to the mailbox I saw my 90-something neighbor standing against a car in the frigid cold holding a cake . I asked her if she was ok or needed me to call her ride but she replied no. I finally convinced her to go back inside to call her ride and to get out of the cold. But you see, she had a dilemma, she was holding the cake with nothing to lean on to help her up the curb to get back to her apartment. So I did what I could do, I took the cake and then I offered my hand which is crippled with Psoriatic Arthritis and Tendonitis and Carpal Tunnel and extended in Love to help my neighbor and I was blessed for it even though when I got to the mailbox and learned that the mailman had not even been there yet.

      So hun, keep your head up and your eyes open to see that you can still be a blessing to those around you and that is the most wonderful gift that you could ever give your precious children. Seeing God’s Love in action. {{{hugz}}}}

  12. Yes, I have been feeling this lately. It seemed that God had completely shut me out! Nothing seemed to go right with me. Everything that I had prayed and hoped for did not materialized. I believed the last paragraph was speaking to me “ALL those who were incensed against you shall be ashamed and disgraced. They shall be as nothing, and those who strive with you shall perish.”, because there were people who had offended me and I know I cannot take revenge but only God.

  13. Exactly what I needed! Thank you for sharing!
