Prophetic Word: Patience Is a Virtue; Rest Is Your Assignment

Beloved, have you been struggling with impatience lately? If so, the Lord wants to encourage you today!
Here’s what I heard the Father say to us all today:
“My precious child, you need to know that you are My precious treasure.
I love you with an everlasting love, and with great mercies I have formed you and sustained you all the days of your life. I have borne you up in My bosom, sheltered and protected you, and cared for you even when you did not know I was there.
So it is from that position of love, My child, that I must tell you I want you to work on being patient.
Time is your friend in many ways. You want everything immediately, but I do not always work like that. I often DO work in the “immediately,” but sometimes I take My time and work more slowly. It’s all about what I know is best for you at that time.
My beloved child, I am always with you. I have not lost or misplaced you. You are written on the palm of My hand! You are engraved into My very being. I could never lose you or misplace you; I could never separate you from Myself, for you are My child and no one can take you out of My hand, literally!
But My beloved, when I do not move as fast as you want Me to, I need you to trust Me anyway.
Sometimes things are hard, but you misunderstand the value of time. You do not always see what I am going to do or how I am going to do it over time. And so sometimes you accept the small when I want to do the big over time.
Oh My sweet, precious child, I see the purity of your heart.
I see how you love Me and how you struggle to please Me. I love that you value Me so much.
BUT, I need you to know that you do please Me ALREADY. And although I appreciate your struggle to please, I want you to rest more and trust Me and My plans for you.
You will still need to work, but I am teaching you how to work within the boundaries of rest.
When you stay within My boundaries of rest–for I am a God who gives rest–you can be much more productive and fruitful. You strive and work every day, but I want you to rest in Me every day.
You are doing so good, beloved. It is only because I love you so very much that I am telling you these things.
You already please Me, My child.
I know you feel like I have forsaken you because I do not move as fast as you want Me to sometimes. However, nothing could be farther from the truth. I work slowly most of the time, but I am right with you the whole time.
I want you to challenge Me with this prayer: “Abba, I am going to rest today. Please show me what You can do when I rest.”
If you will look back, you will remember what I have done for you when you rest. As I said in Isaiah 30:15, “In returning and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and confidence shall be your strength.”
Return to resting with Me, My beloved one. Return to trusting Me. Do not overwork to be rich; because of the understanding I have given you, cease (Proverbs 23:4).

You have some more important things to take care of right now.
I have given you assignments that do not involve continuous work and striving. I have given you assignments for which you will need to carve out time, and you know what they are. There are things I have asked you to do that will feel like a huge sacrifice, but in actuality they will buy years for your life.
Oh my beloved, do not overwork. I need you to rest in Me and find your patience within Me, for I am a very patient God. I am Lord of the ages; do you not think it has required patience for Me to see My plans unfold over the millennia?
I am with you, My child, to keep you.
I am right here with you, and you can remind Me of My word whenever you need comfort and assurance. Come unto Me, for you labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Trust Me and lean on Me. Do not lean on your own understanding; but in all your ways acknowledge Me, and I shall direct your paths.
I love you, My child. Never forget it.

Wow! This word confirms a lot to me. I have a situation I’ve been going through since I was a teenager and I’m now 46 years old. I’ve been crying out to God about it and at times it is very hard to pray because I’ve been asking for so long. I will take rest. And I see the fruit he’s producing of long suffering and patience.
Amazing truth,i was comforted in my soul when i grew weary has the Holy Spirit whispered to me to be at rest,and today with so much joy in me i confirm God’s word true in my life and the path He has chosen for.God bless you Jamie,thank you God our Father,thank you Jesus the Lamb of God for taking away the heavy burden, thank you Holy Spirit for the word ministered unto us, Amen

How comforting. I am stressed as I do not have enough money to travel to my workplaces this week. I pray someone pays me for holiday lessons asap a few pupil contacted me…pray he buys some lessons. I am music teacher…piano and violin. Ixalso teach online if need be.

This prophetic word is for me and I thank God for his faithfulness and love for me . Since I lost my husband, I have no job and my business has been stagnated for a while now. Thank you, this spoke to me. I have always had a perfectionist attitude and strive to be productive in all things, work and home life. I had been sensing this, and at one point in my life working rotating shifts from days to nights, and working 7 days on 12 hours shifts. Shortly after this I did have some health issues develop which I do believe was set off from the stress of these work conditions. This literally forced me to slow down, and eventually found different job much more stable as far as hours and circadian rhythm go. This helped and slowly seem to be returning to previous levels of my health, energy, etc.
As I have read and studied more though, I was led by the Spirit to begin looking into God’s timetable. After all he set the stars/constellations in the sky to keep times, etc and I believe which relates to His feasts (i.e. Passover, tabernacles, etc). Not to start a debate, but if we use the Bible as a pattern for our life, we as a world in general have really divorced ourselves from His timetables. We celebrate different Holi(y)days than those put forth in the Bible, and I believe that only puts us more out of tune with walking in rhythm with the Kingdom of Heaven.
Which brings me to my real point of the Sabbath. God, even though He does not truly need it, literally created a day for rest, and sanctified it. (Gen 2:2-3)
What I have felt led to do is to try and step back from busy life and rest on the 7th day of the week in an attempt to follow that pattern and commandment which really seems to have accelerated my recovery personally.
I know it’s not always easy due to demands or work schedules etc to follow that pattern. But what if you tried stepping out in faith and start observing this for rest. What might happen? What might happen if we start really modeling our lives like Jesus lived and getting in tune with the Kingdom?

This is 100% my word. God is speaking to me in a very clear way. Have been getting online sermons concerning patience. Even our local church the other day preached about patience. I have been struggling with finances trying to clear off my debts. At the same time am pursuing a masters degree program. I thank God for this assuring message that He is working for my own good. Thanks to the Holy Spirit for His word. I have been going through a difficult time with my fiancé and I have been praying for God to intervene and do it fast as I have a timeline. I surrender to God’s will and I rest in God.
It speaks to me, I am learning to rest and writing about it this month.

We all struggle with life in general because we do seek immediate relief when things don’t go the way we expect. There are times we feel we’re in sinking sand. Thank you for posting this message about rest! It’s the exact scripture I read a couple of months ago when I felt like a transition was taking place in my life. No more striving and I more trying to break doors down! I did not chose Him, He has chosen me! As I started working on a doctorate degree this semester, even though there are the challenges of balancing out assignments and my nerves, it hasn’t been a struggle. I thought it would’ve been a different plan, but this is what it is looking like and I’m so glad God’s ways are higher and His plan is perfect. I have absolutely no idea where this degree plan will go, but I trust that God has already gone before me!
