60 Promises to Cling to In Your Time of Need | by Jamie Rohrbaugh | FromHisPresence.com

Do you ever feel like you take one step forward and two steps back in life, and especially in your finances? If so, then today’s Bible promise, about how God will bless all the work of your hand, is for you.

God’s Word says that He will bless all the work of your hand when you obey Him.

The Bible says that His blessings are definitely conditional; we have to obey Him and surrender to His Lordship in order to receive His blessings. He can’t reward disobedience or sin.

But, if we will obey Him, He will bless us (and you) big-time. Let’s read just three verses of Deuteronomy 28 to see one example of this.

First, we see the conditions upon which these particular blessings depend:

“Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God …” (Deuteronomy 28:1-2 NKJV).

And then there is a big list of blessings to which you are entitled if you do diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God and do all He commands you. The blessing I want to focus on right now is how He says He will bless all the work of your hand.

Toward the end of the list of blessings the Lord promises in Deuteronomy 28, He specifically says this:

“The Lord will open to you His good treasure, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand. You shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow” (Deuteronomy 28:12 NKJV).

That verse is chock-full of good things, but they won’t all fit in one article. 🙂 But please do notice that He specifically promises this:

… and to bless all the work of your hand.”

Friend, this promise for God to bless all the work of your hand is huge.

Can you imagine all the things you do turning out right, just because you did them? Can you imagine every bit of work that you so diligently do, not only occupying your time but also producing GOLD for you?

Can you imagine how your life would look different if literally EVERYTHING you do suddenly starts bringing you blessing and increase?

Over Not Under: Financial Prosperity God’s Way

Do you want God to empower you to get wealth, as He promised in Deuteronomy 8:18? Then this book is for you!

Over Not Under will help you gain deep insight about God’s financial principles—and about how to activate His provision, blessing, and abundance in your life!

In the land where God blesses the work of your hands, futile labor is non-existent.

In God’s economy, the way He describes it, everything we do will prosper and be blessed–just because we do them. So whether you work a job, or bake bread at home, or clean your house, or write a blog article, or build a business … no matter what you do with your hands from day to day, and even from hour to hour, it will ALL be blessed.

Increase, fruit, and prosperity will come to you just because you did something out of obedience to God.

    Wow.

I’m praying this Scripture hard; I can tell you that.

I don’t want to do fruitless labor. It frustrates me if I do something that is supposed to prosper, but nothing comes of it.

After all, I’m a daughter of the King, and am ambassador of Heaven’s Royal Family, just like you are! Shouldn’t we be accurately representing and portraying the goodness, blessing, wealth, abundance, and splendor of God here on the earth?

    Yes, we should!

    And think about this:

    • Does it make God look good if the work of our hands is fruitless and pointless?
    • Does it represent God well for us to struggle, or be broke, or be in lack or scarcity of any kind?
    • Does it accurately demonstrate the Kingdom of God for diligent, well-meaning, honest labor toward our dreams to fail or come to nothing?

    No. No, it does not.

But only God can add the blessing.

In Revelation 5:11-14, the hosts of Heaven correctly point out that all blessing in the universe belongs to God:

Then I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels around the throne, the living creatures, and the elders; and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands, saying with a loud voice:

“Worthy is the Lamb who was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom, and strength and honor and glory and blessing!”

And every creature which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, I heard saying:

“Blessing and honor and glory and power be to Him who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb, forever and ever!”

Then the four living creatures said, “Amen!” And the twenty-four elders fell down and worshiped Him who lives forever and ever” (Revelation 5:11-14 NKJV, emphasis mine).

And of course this means that He deserves all the blessing and honor we can give Him–but we also have to keep in mind that He deserves those things because they are His anyway.

All blessing in the universe belongs to God.

    That includes both:

    • any blessings we can ascribe to Him, AND
    • the fact that the concept of blessing, in general, is His; AND
    • the fact that the ability to bless belongs to Him.

Blessing and power belong to God. Therefore, even if you work diligently with all our might, every day of the week (or hopefully only six days per week, so you can take a Sabbath) …

… only God can put the blessing on your work.

Only God can bless the work of your hand.

And only God can bless all the work of your hand.

Do you want Him to do this for you today? If so, let’s review this Bible promise one more time:

“The Lord will open to you His good treasure, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand. You shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow” (Deuteronomy 28:12 NKJV).

And pray with your own words, but be sure to include the following points in your prayer for sure:

    • Point out to the Lord that you are obeying Him diligently, if you are. (Ask Him to help you do so if you are not obeying Him diligently.)
    • Point out to the Lord that you are working so hard.
    • Ask Him to open His good treasure, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season.
    • Ask Him to put His blessing on your work in absolutely everything you do. Ask Him to bless ALL the work of your hand.
    • Pray that He will help you to lend to many nations, but never borrow.
    • Thank Him for hearing and answering your prayer. Ask Him to help you see the answers to your prayers even today. And give Him all the praise!
