Day 10: Prayer for the Spirit of Increase

Did you know that God wants to increase you? It’s true, and His Holy Spirit manifests as the Spirit of increase to do that very thing!

The Lord has led me to write 21 More Days of Breakthrough Prayer because the first 21 days were so powerful, but the Lord told me He isn’t done working miracles!

So, we are continuing to pray through various breakthrough Scriptures each day!

In this simple prayer series, I am sharing one Scripture verse or passage each day. I will also add bullet-point prayer directives you can use to pray through that Scripture. I won’t be writing out actual prayers, though; I feel the Lord wants you to exercise your prayer muscles by talking to Him right out of your heart!

Today, Day 10, we are praying a prayer for the Spirit of increase based on Psalm 115:14-15.

Psalm 115:14-15 says:

“May the Lord give you increase more and more, you and your children. May you be blessed by the Lord, Who made heaven and earth” (Psalm 115:14-15).

So pray through the prayer points below for the Spirit of increase to rest upon you.

And remember today’s verse while you pray: “May the Lord give you increase more and more, you and your children. May you be blessed by the Lord, Who made heaven and earth” (Psalm 115:14-15).

So as you pray:

• Tell the Father specifically that you come before Him in Jesus’ name.
• Ask Him for His Holy Spirit to pray through you, intercede for you, and help you pray right now.
• Thank Him for every good and perfect gift in your life, for He is the Giver of good and perfect gifts.
• Thank Him for how far He has already increased you. Call to mind your situation from years ago, when you had nothing. Compare where you used to be to where you are now! He has increased you in body, soul, and spirit; praise Him for it!
• Tell the Lord that you believe He is a good, good Father who desires to bless you.
• Thank Him for being so good to you.
• Because He is good and will not withhold any good thing from those who walk uprightly, Petition Him with all your heart for increase today.
• Ask Him to let His Spirit of increase–His Holy Spirit–rest upon you and manifest Himself to bring increase to you and everything that pertains to you today.
• Ask Him for the Holy Spirit of increase to bring increase to your children today, too!
• Pray that He would increase you more and more every day.
• Ask Him to increase your children, your family, your finances, your business, and your ministry more and more too!
• Ask our kind Heavenly Father to bless you indeed today; to enlarge your territory; that His hand would be with you; that He would keep you from evil; and that you would not cause pain. (See the prayer of Jabez found in 1 Chronicles 4:10.)
• Thank Him for increasing you and blessing you.
• Ask Him to help you persevere along the journey, for increase may come suddenly or gradually. Either way, thank Him for keeping you and holding you in the palm of His hand!
• Thank Him for hearing and answering your prayer.
• Thank Him for the Holy Spirit of increase in your life, and thank Him for the increase that He is bringing to you, to your children, and to everything that concerns you in every way.

Do you need the Lord to give you increase more and more today by His Holy Spirit of increase? Then remember this Scripture and thank God for it all day long today!
