Plead the Blood of Jesus Over Your Finances

Do you have a financial need today? If so, you can and should plead the blood of Jesus over your finances when you ask the Lord to provide your needs. And to help you plead the blood of Jesus over your finances, I wrote a sample prayer for you below.

Before we begin praying, let me say that it will really build your faith to understand the legal power of the blood of Jesus.

In that book, I walk you through the Scriptural path that shows how the blood of Jesus is your legal evidence for how and why you can have anything you ask for from the Lord. It will REALLY help you if you haven’t already read it!

But in a nutshell, before we pray today to plead the blood of Jesus over your finances, know this:

• Jesus shed His blood for our lives to be redeemed back to God’s original intent.
• His original intent was sinlessness; so, yes, He purchased forgiveness of sins for us with His Own blood.
• But His original intent was also for us to carry His glory, and He redeemed us back to His glory AS WELL with His Own blood.

As the Bible says in Romans 3:23:

“for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God …” (Romans 3:23 NKJV).

And in the Bible, if you look at the meaning of the original language, God’s GLORY is defined as His weight, splendor, and copiousness, wealth, and abundance. (You can look up the Hebrew meaning of the word “glory” in your Strong’s Concordance for more about that.)

So yes, Jesus paid the price for you to be redeemed back to wealth, carrying and walking in and representing well the weight, splendor, and abundance, wealth, and copiousness of God (His GLORY). Just like He paid the price with His blood for you and me to be redeemed from sin, receive forgiveness, and receive eternal life …

… He also paid the price for you and me to be redeemed from the effects of sin, including poverty, lack, and shortage–and for us to carry and manifest on the earth His WEALTH, riches, abundance, and copiousness.

THAT is how He can and does provide all our needs according to His RICHES in glory.

It is because Jesus paid the price with His blood for all of these things to be given back to us. We are redeemed from ALL the effects of sin by the blood of Jesus–and that includes the effects of this sinful world on our finances!

Therefore, when we each have a need, we can and should plead the blood of Jesus over our finances in prayer before the Lord.

As Hebrews chapter 4 tells us:

“Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need” (Hebrews 4:14-16 NKJV).

And when we “plead the blood of Jesus,” we present that blood before the Father as our LEGAL EVIDENCE for WHY we can have what we are asking for. And yes, we can have WHATEVER we ask for in His name, according to Jesus:

“If you ask anything in My name, I will do it” (John 14:14 NKJV).

And:

“And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you. Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full” (John 16:23-24 NKJV).

And:

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened” (Matthew 7:7-8 NKJV).

And:

“Trust in the Lord, and do good; dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart” (Psalm 37:3-4 NKJV).

Friend, you have an open account with God–a blank check that you can “fill out,” asking Him for anything you desire.

And His Word says that He will give you what you ask. Therefore, my beloved, if you choose to believe God and have faith in the name of Jesus, and in His Word, pray this prayer with me today to plead the blood of Jesus over your finances and ask for His abundant provision:

“Father God, I come before You in Jesus’ name.

Abba Father, You are so good, and Your mercy endures forever. Thank You for taking care of me, for keeping me safe, and for watching over all things that concern me. I love You and bless You and give You praise, Holy Father.

Father, You are so good and kind to have sent Your Son to die for me on the cross.

Thank You for doing that. Thank You that it pleased You to crush Him–even though I did not deserve such a gift as eternal life or forgiveness of sins. Thank You for choosing to save me anyway, by grace through faith.

Thank You for Your mercy and grace toward me. And Lord Jesus, thank You for being willing to go to the cross for me: to submit to the Father’s will, even though it hurt, and even though You begged that this cup should pass from You. Thank You for all You have done for me.

Abba Father, I specifically come before You to plead the blood of Jesus over my finances today.

Jesus, I know You died to redeem everything in my life back to Your original intention for me. You died so that my life on earth could be look like Heaven and be like Heaven. You died to redeem me back to Your original will for my life, back to the way You created the earth to be before sin entered it.

And Jesus, I know that there is no lack in Heaven:

• There is no suffering or pain; no crying or tears; no lack or poverty or shortage.
• In Heaven, there is only abundance.
• In Heaven, all our debts are paid by Your blood, Lord.
• In Heaven, all our needs are met abundantly because of Your grace and mercy, and because of the precious blood that You shed.

Thank You for that, Abba Father, Lord Jesus, and Holy Spirit.

Therefore, Father God, in Jesus’ name …

I present the blood of Jesus to You today as my legal evidence to ask for Your abundant financial provision.

I realize that Jesus shed His blood for many reasons, but among them was so that I can walk in the financial abundance, wealth, and provision of Heaven. This is part of Your glory, God.

And because the blood of Jesus is not wasted in my life, and I don’t want any aspect or portion of it to be wasted:

• I plead the blood of Jesus over my finances right now; and
• I present that holy and precious blood of Jesus to You as my legal evidence for why I can have what I ask; and
• I petition You right now, today, to bless me financially right now, today, MORE than I ask or imagine.

Again, Father, I know that You see everything:

• You see my situation in my finances.
• You see my needs and desires.
• You see all that I need to do and want to do, both for myself, my family, for others, and to extend Your Kingdom.
• You see the bills I have that are coming due, and You see the money I do and do not have available to pay them.

But Father God, Your Holy Son Jesus paid it all for me with His blood.

Jesus paid all these things for me when He died on the cross. He redeemed me back to Your original intent and purpose for my life, and that original intent and purpose is for me to be fruitful and multiply; to fill the earth and subdue it. Your original intent and purpose are for my life on earth to look just like Heaven, which includes manifesting the abundance of Heaven.

Therefore, Father, I plead the blood of Jesus–the most powerful payment method in the universe–over my finances right now.

Specifically:

I plead the blood of Jesus over the bills I have that are coming due, due now, or overdue. Pay these bills right now by Your blood, Lord Jesus.

I plead the blood of Jesus over the needs of other people I care about. Please provide for all their needs, and provide abundance enough TO ME for me to help those people as well.

I plead the blood of Jesus over my own level of abundance, Lord. You have already brought me so far, and I thank You for that. I would never want to deny or negate the good things You have already done for me. I thank You for each and every one of them, Father God, Lord Jesus, and Holy Spirit.

I ask also in Jesus’ name:

• that You would make me a better steward than ever, for everything in Heaven and earth belongs to You, and I own nothing myself;
• that my income would increase dramatically;
• that my bills and expenses would be dramatically reduced, and in good ways;
• that happy surprises of extra money, income, and all the items I need would come to me because of Your love;
• that You would protect me, open the windows of Heaven for me and pour out such blessing that my cup overflows with abundant provision;
• and that You would rebuke the devourer for my sake.

Lord, Your Word promises huge levels of financial abundance–levels of abundance that go far beyond what I have experienced so far in life.

And since I have not walked in the complete fullness of all Your promises yet, even though I tithe and offer to You, I point out to You today my faithfulness and obedience to obey You in stewarding my finances, and in taking care of Your house and Your work first. And I ask You to do all for me that You have promised in Your Word.

Father God, in Jesus’ name:

• I thank You that Your Word is true, and it applies to me; and
• I thank You that You are the righteous and merciful Judge of all the universe; and
• I ask You that You would judge today Your Word to be true, and receive that Your Word and Jesus’ blood are the deciding evidence in my favor;
• that You would take heed of how I have obeyed Your Word and met Your conditions for blessing; and
• that You would pour out on me every single one of all the blessings You have promised, in Jesus’ name and by His blood.

So, please help me, Father God, by the blood of Jesus.

Help me and provide to me the level of abundance Your Word promises: that good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over would men and You give into my bosom.

Let Your provision manifest to me today exceedingly abundantly above and beyond ALL I could ever ask or think–and that is a LOT, Father God. But, Your Word promises me exactly that!

Therefore, in Jesus’ name, I call forth Your provision and command it to come to me today: not merely enough, but enough PLUS abundance left over for every good work I can think of.

Abba Father, this is a bold prayer, but it’s exactly what Your Word says I can walk in.

And in the name of Jesus, I insist and command today that, by Your mighty hand and Your outstretched arm …

… not by my own fleshly might or power, which are nothing, but by Your Spirit, God …

… that You would do these things for me TODAY, this very day.

Father, help me to hear Your voice and do what You say. Help me to receive as a son or daughter in Your Kingdom; a beloved son or daughter of the Most High God. Help me to follow Your divine strategy for receiving, and for walking in the full abundance that Jesus paid with His Own blood for me to have.

Thank You, Abba Father. I plead the blood of Jesus over my finances today, and I thank You for Your exceeding abundant provision this very day.

In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.”
