Prophetic Word: “I Am Enforcing a Period of Rest”

Beloved, have you been inexplicably worn out? Has your motivation disappeared, and you’re having a hard time figuring out what’s wrong with you?
Well, if there is nothing physically wrong with you except that your motivation and energy feel depleted, perhaps you’re participating in a spiritual season of rest. (Ask the Lord about this, remembering that Jesus said those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick DO–so be sure you go to the doctor if you have something actually physically wrong with you, okay?) 🙂
I heard the Lord speak to me about an “enforced” season of rest recently. He said:
“I told you that 2020 is the year of hearth and home, in which I am healing you through rest. However, you keep trying to leave the hearth, depart from your home, and stop resting!
Therefore, beloved, you give Me no choice.
I have hemmed you in behind and before and laid My hand upon you to REST. Because you have a heart toward Me, and have given Me permission to do whatever I like in your life, I have limited your options and your motivation to do anything other than obey Me–even when you don’t realize that you are trying to get away from obeying Me.
I am enforcing a period of rest. This period of rest will last through the end of December.
The calendar year 2020 is a period of rest, all year. You will feel the switch at midnight–the moment between December 31 and January 1st. And late in that midnight hour, I WILL turn things around for you,” says the Lord, “but by that time you will be cured from the disease of busyness.”
“My treatment plan to cure you from busyness is for you to rest,” says the Lord. “Therefore, I beg you to stop trying to escape My rest.
You are not doing anything wrong by resting. Indeed, ask Me to show you a sign and a wonder–two things, one sign and one wonder–to confirm and affirm that you are indeed right where I want you, even though it looks like you are accomplishing nothing at all.
My rest is holy. My rest is pure.
And when you enter into My rest, you show that you trust Me better than at any other time. All the striving you do at other times does not please Me at all,” says the Lord. “Your labors please Me, for you are a faithful and worthy servant whom I love. But more than that, you are My child–and children do not need to strive.
Your status as My child takes precedent over your status as My servant, beloved. And although I would never want you to put your hand to the plow and then look back, I want you to learn to discern the difference between laboring and striving.
You can labor and rest at the same time, but you cannot strive and rest at the same time.
My rest is holy, but your striving is not. And it is not the striving to know Me that I am talking about here; it is your striving to provide for your own needs, instead of trusting Me. You have been doing your utmost to be sufficient outside of Me while all the while claiming to trust Me!
To remedy this, follow My order:
- Seek Me first every day.
- Hide My Word in your heart every day.
- Rest in Me every day.
- Then take the instructions I have given you when we were alone together, and carry them out.
This, and only this, is My divine order for you. And this is the only way to live that works.
My beloved child, I love you.
I am wildly in love with you and My love will never change. I am proud of you–so proud:
- Proud of how far you have come;
- Proud of what we have accomplished together;
- Proud of how much you love Me.
I see your heart and I know it is genuine, for you are functioning out of My heart. But your carrying out of My heart is not perfect yet, and I am helping you get there through REST.

This was for me. I’ve been questioning myself and really confused. My body feels tired but I want to get up and work. It’s a strange weighted feeling throughout.
Thank you Jamie for the confirmation of the word. I was given this direct prophecy a month ago, I did not take heed. Now I will rest in His presence!!!

Thank you. I guess I was striving not working. Am in a forced rest period now, I couldn’t understand why but it makes sense now. I was enjoying the rest period but was worried about the why and how I would provide for myself and my family. This is really speaking to my situation. God Bless you.
Rest is sooo good, but still have to work hard everyday to survive and I’m 71, healthy, no meds, etc…people half my age are tired at work too. Its retail & there is nothing else available, job wise. San Diego County has just been shutdown again. Orange County, where I live may be next as the Covid cases are rising….praying to be at rest with
ABBA Father….

This resonate with me. I have always struggled with resting even when I try too and have been asking God to teach me how to rest. But lately have been feeling demotivated and not inspired to write on my blog wondering why even asked God to bring my passion back. Now I know why. Thanks Jamie for everything.
I am one who usually journals every day but the last three weeks or so have been difficult – I have hardly written anything. This word has helped me as well.
I need to rest – rest from all striving. Rest and trust.

I laughed so hard I almost spit out my coffee. God is so good! This was so for me and I am learning how to get better at it. It’s really hard to explain to people when they ask how are you doing in this plandemic? How are you making it? I am like God and God alone. They look at me weird. My whole life I thought I had to become something great. I kept trying school, learning etc and every time something happens and I don’t finish. This time it hurt deep because I really thought I heard God right. When He means rest He means it all. I can literally envision myself fall back into Him and Him and I one. Before I always looked up to see where He was and somehow He has shown me He is all around me even behind me to catch me. I can stay there. The last few years have been Hell and at one point something changed, I want to say around FEb 2020 and it all stopped and since then I have been floating in an amazing cloud of provision and love and peace. Things try to get me out of it but I realize it so much more quickly now. I am not a millionaire yet but I believe God even more now how I don’t have to worry about anything. He has me in the palm of His hands and it is true if you seek His kingdom AND His Righteousness all of these things will be added unto you. Rest is so important and I am finally realizing it and how it does truly bless us back.
Thank-you,Jamie this is what i keep feeling, but it is hard to listen sometimes never had a support system growing up, both parents worked all the time we were a large family many children, so you most times helped out with the others,but depend on your self, old habits die hard, ,Lord thank-you for your love.

I saw this email about “rest” and I thought it couldn’t be for me. And so I didn’t read the email Then in my devotional the Holy Spirit gave me a specific page number to read. And the title was “give your soul rest”. And then I read the email. Wow. I am now following the Lord instruction to not do any work on Saturday. Just to relax. No social media. Just me and Him.
I receive this Word from Papa. He is speaking directly to me. Amen. I WILL continue to rest. I actually was starting to think something was wrong with me. Thank you DADDY for confirming I am doing nothing wrong!! I love YOU!!
This 2020 is indeed a year of rest. This has to happen for me to take heed. A pandemic no less. That goes to show how hard-headed I was. I am taking this prophesy to heart. Resting in the Father’s grace and mercy and complete and total trust in His will. Thankful for this chance of experiencing to trust no one else and nothing else but Him. You see, the person you mentioned, it was me pretending to trust Him but then deep in my heart I had doubts. This wonderful blessing given to me to totally surrender to the Father’s will even if I don’t understand it on the surface knowing that it will always be for my own good. Complete surrender. No questions. No room for doubts. Father God, Your Words are the lamp and light to my feet. I find joy in your Truth. I love your reign over my life. ♥️
WOW!! This WORD is SO ON TIME for me TODAY. Im cleaning up my son room and decided to check my email and this just JUMPED OUT at me. I am a Minister of the Gospel/ an Elder in my local church and just got ordain/Consecrated as a Prophetess and the Lord has called me higher and given me instructions but I was wondering why I was so frustrated at completing them but NEVER COMPLETING ANYTHING. I was STRIVING and not LABORING. I WAS RATING my work never RESTING in THE work. Now i understand what’s going on in my life. I will take God instructions and apply them. Thank you SOOOOOO much!!!

Please someone clarify for me. By rest does that mean not doing anything work related? Like if you have a job, stop going to work?. If you have responsibility put them off and rest in God? I ask because I’m a single mom with 2 children under 2 and with a part time so it’s hard to rest. Despite it all I make time for God no matter what. And if resting is what he calls for then I want to obey.
Praise God.. With conviction, I trust this word is for me. Eversince, high school, I had been working, without a break till date, ,that completes 40 yrs, This year, due to the pandemic, unable to fly back to my home,no job I have been resting in complete luxury, I began striving to find a job, but unsuccessful. Yes, Lord revealed thru Jamie’s message and , I claim, Lords word. TRULY, blessed to spend innumerable hours now with the Lord, . Realising this is what the Lord wanted to gift me after 40 years of selfless labour. We serve a Mighty and Faithful DADDY GOD..
