In 2026, Great Deliverance and Mercy Are Your Portion (10 Prophetic Words for 2026)

Have you been contending with God for healing, vindication, restoration, and the “finally!” to be NOW in 2026? If so, these 10 prophetic words for 2026 are going to be a healing balm for your soul.

The Lord spoke to me that Psalm 18 is the Psalm of the Year for 2026, and He has shown me a number of things out of that Psalm that He desires to do this year for His people.

Nevertheless, if you receive these words from the Scriptures and pray in faith as the year progresses, I believe God will do every single one of these things listed below (and much more) for YOU.

Here is what the Lord is saying for 2026:

1. Great deliverance and mercy are your portion this year.

The Lord has seen your travail and heard your cries. You had been laboring in Egypt so long, and you have also wandered in the wilderness.

However, the time of wandering is through, and in 2026 the Lord will deliver you from the wilderness and into a wide and straight path for your feet, if you will follow Him. This is in accordance with Psalm 18:36, which the Lord told me is the Scripture verse of the year:

“You enlarged my path under me, so my feet did not slip” (Psalm 18:36 NKJV).

And also, this comes directly from Psalm 18:50, which says:

“Great deliverance He gives to His king, and shows mercy to His anointed, to David and his descendants forevermore” (Psalm 18:50 NKJV).

2. Believe the Lord for all kinds of strength, from spiritual strength to fiscal strength to mental and emotional strength.

All of God’s strength is needed in the face of our multi-faceted weakness. But, He will give us His strength when we ask. Look at 2 Corinthians 12:

“And He said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong” (2 Corinthians 12:9-10 NKJV).

And the prophetic Scriptures I am also hearing from Him about this are again found in Psalm 18, the Psalm of the year:

“It is God who arms me with strength, and makes my way perfect” (Psalm 18:32 NKJV).

And:

“For You have armed me with strength for the battle; You have subdued under me those who rose up against me” (Psalm 18:39 NKJV).

No matter what kind of weakness you are facing; no matter where you are inadequate or insufficient, Jesus has all the strength you need. Ask Him for each kind of strength specifically this year, and understand that He will manifest each kind of strength for you as you ask and persevere.

3. This is the year to know God as a gentle God.

Too many of us, including myself, have known God as a holy God and a God deserving of all our labor and service, but we have not always known His gentleness. We say we know His love, but His gentleness is a key aspect of His love that we do not always know.

This year, God desires to teach us about His gentleness. He desires us to know Him not as a harsh and exacting Father, but as a gentle and kind Father.

And although He does have requirements and protocol for living righteously and approaching Him, I believe He is looking at many of His people and saying, “Rest in Me, and in My gentleness.”

This is in accordance with Psalm 18:35, which says:

“You have also given me the shield of Your salvation; Your right hand has held me up, Your gentleness has made me great” (Psalm 18:35 NKJV).

4. You will see an enlarging of your territory this year in unexpected ways.

Small is the new big; personal discipleship is the new conference. It has always been this way, but we in the Body of Christ are just now beginning to understand the effectiveness of personal discipleship–even though it is the way Jesus ministered frequently to the disciples.

As you have been willing to give up big things and things that would bring you fame and glory, you will find that Jesus is expanding your territory this year by using the little, the quiet, and the seemingly insignificant things. Simple conversations, single encounters, and quiet friendships will result in great fruit this year for the Kingdom as the Lord restores to His Body the revelation of personal discipleship in greater ways.

5. You will see a revealing of the hidden roots of problems as the Lord rises up to defeat your enemies.

Trust God during this time to show you how to deal with each root issue. In 2026, you will see God replace evil and painful roots with His rest, and with the finest of His grain, if you will let Holy Spirit wash over your heart freely on each matter.

The year 2026 is the Year of Living Water, and in this season you will see the Lord heal and refresh your soul to the degree that you will not recognize yourself, compared to where you are now, by September of 2026 if you will follow the leading of the Lord and seek Him with all your heart.

6. There will be a stabilizing of your path in 2026.

The time of the Rock is come, and you will find that your footsteps no longer tremble. The years before 2026 were to make you strong. Those years involved a lot of waiting, a lot of spiritual muscle growth, and a lot of stress and strain in both holy and unholy ways.

But now, in 2026, you will find that the Lord has made you strong in ways you did not even know He was doing at the time. You will find your path stabilizing going forward, and no longer trembling.

“For I the Lord have seen your faithfulness, and I am acquainted with all your ways,” says the Lord; “and I am setting you on a straight and even path, for the time of your turmoil is done.”

Keep Psalm 18:1-3 in your heart all year regarding this topic:

“I will love You, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised; so shall I be saved from my enemies” (Psalm 18:1-3 NKJV).

7. Dedicate yourself to extra times of prayer in 2026–and you will see God personally stand up from His throne to move on your behalf.

Psalm 18:7-20 describes how God personally got up and came to David’s rescue. And all of God’s mighty help carried this prerequisite:

“In my distress I called upon the Lord, and cried out to my God; He heard my voice from His temple, and my cry came before Him, even to His ears” (Psalm 18:6 NKJV).

You have not because you ask not (see James 4:2), and your progress in 2026 will depend on the degree of your asking. If you will make prayer your chief activity of 2026, you will see God’s rescue as your chief theme all year.

8. It is a time of relief and recompense for the merciful.

Being merciful has cost some people a lot over the years, but the eye of God is going to be on the merciful in a special way in 2026. If you are merciful, the year of your reward has come. God will also vindicate you regarding your displays of mercy, bringing fruit from it that will be evident to all.

I believe the merciful will also find the special reward of extra manifestations of Jesus to you personally in 2026, for the love that shows mercy is a love that few understand–but it is the very heartbeat of Christ. And I believe He is saying that He will appear to those with whom He can share His heart in that special way this year.

Remember and claim Psalm 18:25-26 all year long:

“With the merciful You will show Yourself merciful; with a blameless man You will show Yourself blameless; with the pure You will show Yourself pure; and with the devious You will show Yourself shrewd” (Psalm 18:25-26 NKJV).

And also, Matthew 5:7:

“Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy” (Matthew 5:7 NKJV).

For too many, you have carried the burden of your mercy-giving alone for too long. But you shall no longer carry it alone this year. The Lord will personally show mercy to you, and you will find that His mercy far outweighs even the best mercy you could ever show to your fellow man. Such will be His goodness and recompense to the merciful this year.

9. It is the year of your vindication.

In 2026, you will find the Lord vindicating the righteous at an unprecedented rate. He has searched you and weighed you in the balances, but He has not found you wanting in any way. The fire was so hot because of the depth of His search. And the time of your vindication has come–but it is His job to do it, not yours.

In this year, ask the Lord to vindicate you in every way that you have demonstrated His righteousness. If you do, you will see Him moving to prove you right where you were right, even if you didn’t get any credit for your stance in past years. Of course He will get all the glory, but the balances are full and the justice and worthiness of God are being shown on behalf of His saints.

Remember Psalm 18:39 this year:

“For You have armed me with strength for the battle; You have subdued under me those who rose up against me” (Psalm 18:39 NKJV).

10. It is the year of fresh anointing in your skill set and spiritual gifts.

A lot of people have been beaten down by the events of life, but in 2026 the Lord wants to breathe new fire into your nostrils, fully empowering your creativity again–and enlivening you with fresh fire for your spiritual gifts.

Too many people have let the Lord’s spiritual gifts languish, but this is the time to get those gifts out, dust them off, and practice them on purpose. There is a fresh anointing and a new breath coming from Jesus’ precious Holy Spirit now; and, if you will seek Him for this, you will find yourself moved to prophesy and inspired to move in your spiritual gifts more than ever before.

Fresh breath, not stale bread, is your portion in 2026.

These are very simple words for 2026, but 2026 is the year of the simple.

Great deliverance and mercy are your portion. You will find rest from your labors, and you will find yourself inspired by God’s Holy Spirit to focus with straight and narrow focus on what He has called you to do as He breathes fresh wind and new fire into your nostrils, giving you life from what was the dead.
