10 Prophetic Words for August 2023

Curious about what the Lord has in store for this new month? Here is the prophetic word for August 2023 that the Lord spoke to me for you:

1. The Lord will be giving witty inventions to His people this month.

Be prepared to sit down and take time to hear, as well as implement, these witty inventions. The best window for their success is immediately when He gives them.

So, slow your schedule down for August and be ready to listen and receive. Then, put time on your calendar specifically to carry out the ideas He gives you.

2. God’s Holy Spirit will help many people who have fractured relationships with Jesus to encounter Him in a new way in August.

This is a word for people who love Jesus already, but you have felt hurt by Jesus or distant from Jesus because of the terrible things that have been done to you.

If that describes you, spend time in August reviewing the goodness and kindness of Jesus as shown in the Gospels (the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John in the Bible).

Through these books, the Lord will help you see that it was not Jesus who allowed or did the things that have been done to you. You will find healing for your friendship with Jesus in a whole new way in August.

3. Trust is the primary spiritual growth issue of August.

Have you been doubting or failing to believe God? He wants you to grow in your level of TRUST in August. Through TRUST, you will find peace. Trust not in what your eyes see, nor in what your natural ears hear.

Remember that the natural man cannot receive the things of the Spirit; they are spiritually discerned. As it says in 1 Corinthians 2:14:

“But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned” (1 Corinthians 2:14 NKJV).

One of the key issues that many people across the Body are dealing with right now is learning that challenges do not equal lack or abandonment.

Challenges grow us and refine us. God sometimes allows challenges to come our way in order to stretch our faith and teach us new levels of faith and trust.

However, when you interpret the challenges He allows as a sign of His abandonment, or as a lack of blessing, you cut off the growth medium that He has chosen to benefit you. Remember in August that ALL things work together for good for those who love God and are called according to His purpose!

4. God’s precious Holy Spirit will be pouring out a new and fresh hunger for JESUS in August for all who will receive.

Many people, unwittingly, have been pressing into God the Father or His Holy Spirit more than they have been pressing into Jesus. They do this with a pure and sincere heart, but Holy Spirit will be reminding people in August that JESUS is the Way and the Door.

No man can come to the Father except through Jesus.

In August, Holy Spirit will be reminding people that Jesus is their way to the Father. As He heals people’s misconceptions about Jesus, He will be pouring out a fresh hunger for Jesus.

Many people will find the richness of their relationship with God restored in August as they refocus on Jesus our Savior.

5. In August, many people will experience a move of God in their finances, the likes of which they have never seen before.

Many people have been fasting and praying according to Isaiah 58, and Jesus is going to answer His own promise to you from Isaiah 58 in August. This means:

“Then your light shall break forth like the morning, your healing shall spring forth speedily, and your righteousness shall go before you; the glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard. Then you shall call, and the Lord will answer; you shall cry, and He will say, ‘Here I am.’

If you take away the yoke from your midst, the pointing of the finger, and speaking wickedness, if you extend your soul to the hungry and satisfy the afflicted soul, then your light shall dawn in the darkness, and your darkness shall be as the noonday.

The Lord will guide you continually, and satisfy your soul in drought, and strengthen your bones; you shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.

Those from among you shall build the old waste places; you shall raise up the foundations of many generations; and you shall be called the Repairer of the Breach, the Restorer of Streets to Dwell In” (Isaiah 58:8-12 NKJV).

I also saw that a fresh wind will be coming back into your sails in August. And, for those believers who have businesses, many will experience the fresh breath of God’s Holy Spirit into your sales as well.

I saw that many people’s hopes have been blackened and tarnished, but silver will return to your home again in August.

There will be a move of God in financial restoration in August. As evidence of this, I heard the Lord say that He will affirm His move across the Body through the sign of a powerful move in the state of Oregon (get it? Ore-gone?) in August.

6. In August, seeds planted long ago will flower and bloom.

The Lord is raining on all kinds of seeds that you planted in hope, but from which you have not yet seen fruit.

Do not give up on your old seeds! Instead, water them with the tears of your prayers. And those who sow in tears shall doubtless come again rejoicing, bringing their sheaves of harvest with them!

As it says in Psalm 126:1-6:

“When the Lord brought back the captivity of Zion, we were like those who dream. Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing.

Then they said among the nations, ‘The Lord has done great things for them.’

The Lord has done great things for us, and we are glad.

Bring back our captivity, O Lord, as the streams in the South.

Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy. He who continually goes forth weeping, bearing seed for sowing, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him” (Psalm 126:1-6 NKJV).

7. The Lion will move like a bull on your behalf in August.

I saw in a vision that the Lord is rushing forward like a bull, horns down and ready to fight, against your enemies. Remember that we wrestle not against flesh and blood …

“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places” (Ephesians 6:12 NKJV).

… And therefore, the enemies God is fighting may not be the same as you expect them to be. However, I see the Lion of Judah preparing to deal with your enemies, rushing forward like a bull to trample on your behalf, in August.

8. In August, you will encounter Jesus as a Shield to you and your house in a whole new way.

I see the storm clouds dissipating over your house. You will find that the storms you thought were the end were only smoke and mirrors.

Jesus is very real, and He is really protecting you. In August, you will notice Him to be a Shield and a rear-guard round about you.

9. Pray for a new level of unity in your family in August.

The sweetness of unity that you experience in the best gatherings of your friends can be manifest in your home too, if you will pray for it.

Many people pray for unity in their churches or work groups, but forget to pray for unity in the home. In August, pray exceedingly faithfully for unity in your family, home, and marriage–and see what God does!

10. I heard the Lord say, “I will open lighthouses to you in August!”

Just as a lighthouse helps guide and safeguard passing ships in a storm, so the Lord will open lighthouses to you that will help you navigate the journey of life. You will know them when He sends them, and their light will cut through the clouds with prophetic unction and anointing.
