Day 12: The Blood of the Lamb and the Word of Your Testimony

Have you been experiencing enemy attack lately? If so, the word of the Lord for you is found in Revelation 12:11: “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony ….”

My friend, the blood of the Lamb–the blood of Jesus–is enough to win whatever victory you need to win today.

The blood of Jesus is stronger than any attack the enemy could ever send against you. And if you will plead the blood of Jesus in prayer and testify about what the Lord has done for you–magnifying His name and lifting Him up–then you will beat the devil every time.

In this simple prayer series, I am sharing one Scripture verse or passage each day. I will also add bullet-point prayer directives you can use to pray through that Scripture. I won’t be writing out actual prayers, though; I feel the Lord wants you to exercise your prayer muscles by talking to Him right out of your heart!

Today, Day 12, we are pleading the blood of Jesus over our lives–and asking Father God to help you overcome the enemy by the blood of the Lamb and the word of your testimony.

Revelation 12:10-11 says:

“Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, ‘Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down.

And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death'” (Revelation 12:10-11, emphasis mine).

So pray through the prayer points below to plead the blood of the Lamb, Jesus, over your life:

• Tell the Father that You come before Him in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God, who died to take away the sin of the world–and your sin specifically.
• Thank Him for saving you.
• Thank Jesus for shedding His blood for you.
• Thank the Father for sending Jesus to purchase you back from the slave market of sin, so that you could be adopted as a son or daughter of God.
• Acknowledge to the Father that the blood of Jesus paid the full and complete price for everything in your life to look on earth just like the Father wants it to look like in Heaven.
• Praise Him for making a way for His perfect and complete will to be done in your life–by the blood of the Lamb, and by His grace made available to you through that blood!
• Tell the Father what you are concerned about today. Pour out your heart to Him–not in self-pity, but in a spirit of sharing your heart and casting your burdens upon the Lord, so that He can sustain you.
• Tell the Father that you plead the blood of Jesus over your situation: that you present the blood of Jesus to Father as your legal evidence that your life can be healed, restored, prospered, and come to look just like Heaven.
• Thank the Father for the blood of Jesus, which makes a way for God’s perfect will to be done in your life.
• Specifically tell the Father that you plead the blood of Jesus over your relationship with Him, as well as over your health, marriage, children, finances, relationships, words, decisions, thoughts, emotions, activities, work, ministry, and place in the Body of Christ, the Church.
• Ask Him that His Kingdom would come and His will would be done on earth, and in your life, as it is in Heaven in all those spheres (and any other spheres that are on your heart).
• Thank the Lord for everything He has already done for you up to this point in your life. Testify to Him about what HE has done!
• Ask the Father to help you overcome the enemy by the blood of the Lamb and the word of your testimony.
• Pray that the Lord would give you opportunity to share your testimony with others, so that you might become stronger in faith and strengthen others as well through the sharing of your testimony.
• Pray that the Lord would give you boldness to speak as you ought to speak–to speak as the oracles of God–whenever you have the chance to share your testimony in any area with anyone!
• Thank Him that the testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of prophecy in your life, and in the lives of others.
• Thank Him for hearing and answering your prayer.
• Thank Him for the blood of the Lamb, which is actively at work in your life.
• Thank Him for overcoming the enemy and winning every victory on your behalf.
• Thank Him for His faithfulness to You each and every day, and give Him all the praise!
