Our key Scripture passage today is Galatians 3:7, which says:

“Therefore know that only those who are of faith are sons of Abraham” (Galatians 3:7 NKJV).

Why is this Scripture important to the process of strengthening your faith? Because it reminds you what you are believing FOR!

If you have faith in God, having made Jesus your Lord, Savior, Boss, and Master, then you are entitled to receive the blessing of Abraham!

The blessing of Abraham will change your life. And this blessing has MANY facets. God placed His blessing on Abraham’s life originally in Genesis 12:1-3, when He said this:

“Now the Lord had said to Abram:

‘Get out of your country, from your family and from your father’s house, to a land that I will show you. I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed’” (Genesis 12:1-3 NKJV).

Then, God kept appearing to Abraham throughout the rest of his life, expounding on that blessing and showing him the huge scope of that blessing. The things God promised Abraham were intense! And in Christ, you are grafted into that blessing. (Read the entire book of Romans for more about this.)

So now, you are entitled to every bit of that blessing, with all its facets!

    • Tell the Father that you are coming before Him in Jesus’ name.
    • Thank Him for grafting you in to the covenant He made with Abraham, through your relationship with Christ Jesus.
    • Praise Him for His kindness and generosity toward you, for He has promised you a vast blessing on the earth by His covenant and His blood!
    • Ask the Father to show you the land and territory He has for you.
    • Pray that He will help you be bold to leave anything He wants you to leave, so you can move toward total occupation of the territory He has for you.
    • Ask Him to deliver your covenant territory into your hand Himself.
    • Ask Him to help you NOT to stop halfway there, but to complete your journey in Him and receive ALL the blessings He has in store for you!
    • Ask Him to make of you a great nation. Whether that means He uses you to disciple nation, or sends you a nation’s worth of spiritual sons and daughters, or whether He gives you thousands of biological descendants across future generations–ask Him to do it as He sees fit.
    • Ask Him to bless you, and to make your name great for His sake and for the glory of Jesus!
    • Pray that Jesus, the Lamb who was slain, would receive the reward of His suffering through you and in your life–and through all your spiritual descendants.
    • Ask the Father to make you a blessing to all those around you.
    • Ask Him to make you a blessing even to the whole world in some way or another!
    • Ask Him to help you disciple entire nations for His sake, as He commanded us each to do in the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20).
    • Ask our Heavenly Father to bless those who bless you, as He promised He would do since you are grafted in to Abraham’s covenant.
    • Ask Him to discipline, not curse, those who curse you. Point out to Him that you are praying this way because Jesus said we should love our enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you. (See Matthew 5:43-44.) But ask Him to discipline, convict, and correct those who do treat you badly, so that Jesus would not be grieved by their sinful behavior. Ask Him to bring your enemies to Himself!
    • Pray that, in YOU, all the families of the earth would be blessed.
    • Ask God to give you worldwide intercession, influence, inventions, or a message, and to help you reach the whole world with it so that in you all the families of the earth CAN be blessed!
    • Thank the Lord that those who are of faith are sons of believing Abraham.
    • Thank Him for placing the blessing of Abraham on your life.
    • Ask Him to help you become Jesus’ personal friend as closely, or even closer, as Abraham was.
    • Pray that He would help you walk with Himself today as Abraham did in his own lifetime.

Friend, if you are of faith, then you are a child of believing Abraham.

That means that, in Christ, you are entitled to all of the blessings God gave Abraham through His covenant promise. The blessing of Abraham is your portion, being grafted in to the covenant God made with Him. This is good news today.

So the question is: Do you have faith?

Can you believe for the blessing of Abraham? If so, leave a comment below and confess in writing, “I have faith in Christ, and I am a child of Abraham!”
