Day 5: Sons and Daughters Coming to You; The Time Is NOW

Welcome to Day 5 of Morning and Night: 21 Days of Praying for Your Ministry! Today, in the morning, we are praying over God’s promises to bring your sons and daughters to you and your ministry (including spiritual sons and spiritual daughters).

In the evening, we are praying over God’s promises stating that the time for your miracle is NOW.

Note: Because they are more numerous, our prayer points today will emphasize spiritual sons and daughters, rather than biological ones.

Of course, you can also pray these Scriptures and prayer points over your biological or adopted sons and daughters–the children you have raised or are raising.

However, Isaiah 54:1 tells us that your spiritual children will far outnumber your biological ones. This passage says:

““Sing, O barren, you who have not borne! Break forth into singing, and cry aloud, you who have not labored with child! For more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married woman,” says the Lord” (Isaiah 54:1 NKJV).

Spiritual sons and daughters are simply the people the Lord sends you to disciple:

• People with whom you are appropriately close;
• People who give you permission to speak into their lives;
• People who are willing to accept correction from you; and
• People who listen to and actually heed what you have to say.

That last point is important. If people ask you to speak into their lives, but all they want is encouragement from you–and they won’t let you help them work toward greater levels of holiness, which requires occasional correction–they are not true sons and daughters.

With all that said …

To build your faith for God to bring spiritual sons and daughters to your ministry, read these Bible promises:

Isaiah 60:4-5: “Lift up your eyes all around, and see: They all gather together, they come to you; your sons shall come from afar, and your daughters shall be nursed at your side. Then you shall see and become radiant, and your heart shall swell with joy; because the abundance of the sea shall be turned to you, the wealth of the Gentiles shall come to you” (Isaiah 60:4-5 NKJV).

Isaiah 43:5-7: “Fear not, for I am with you; I will bring your descendants from the east, and gather you from the west; I will say to the north, ‘Give them up!’ and to the south, ‘Do not keep them back!’ Bring My sons from afar, and My daughters from the ends of the earth—everyone who is called by My name, whom I have created for My glory; I have formed him, yes, I have made him” (Isaiah 43:5-7 NKJV).

Jeremiah 33:22: “‘As the host of heaven cannot be numbered, nor the sand of the sea measured, so will I multiply the descendants of David My servant and the Levites who minister to Me’” (Jeremiah 33:22 NKJV).

Isaiah 49:22-23: “Thus says the Lord God: “Behold, I will lift My hand in an oath to the nations, and set up My standard for the peoples; they shall bring your sons in their arms, and your daughters shall be carried on their shoulders; kings shall be your foster fathers, and their queens your nursing mothers; they shall bow down to you with their faces to the earth, and lick up the dust of your feet. Then you will know that I am the Lord, for they shall not be ashamed who wait for Me” (Isaiah 49:22-23 NKJV).

Isaiah 49:25: “But thus says the Lord: “Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible be delivered; for I will contend with him who contends with you, and I will save your children”” (Isaiah 49:25 NKJV).

Then, pray through the following prayer points:

• Thank the Lord for His Great Commission that charges you to go into all the world and make disciples for Him.
• Praise Him for calling you, and for allowing you to serve Him in this way. What a privilege it is to reach His people with His good news; thank and praise Him for that!
• Thank the Lord for the spiritual sons and daughters He has already brought to you and your ministry.
• Thank Him for the additional sons and daughters that He is bringing to you right now.
• Ask Him to gather together even more true sons and daughters, and to bring them to you.
• Pray that the Lord would establish the covenant relationships that He wants you to have with your spiritual sons and daughters.
• Ask Him to deliver you from any false sons or daughters–those who would stab you in the back, or who are too prideful to receive correction or real discipleship.
• Ask the Lord to help you see your sons and daughters, and to make you radiant.
• Ask Him to show you the impact you have had on your spiritual sons and daughters–past, present, and future.
• Ask the Lord to make your heart swell with joy, and to bring you the abundance of the sea and the wealth of the Gentiles.
• Pray that the Lord will bring your descendants to you from the north, south, east, and west, and to gather you to them.
• Ask the Lord to multiply the people you reach through your ministry. Ask Him to help you reach so many people that your spiritual sons and daughters will be like the host of heaven, which cannot be numbered–and like the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured.
• Pray that people would bring your sons and daughters to you as well.
• Pray that the Lord would send you kings to be your foster fathers, and queens to be your nursing mothers.
• Pray that the Lord would not allow you to be put to shame, for you wait on Him.
• Ask the Lord to contend with him who contends with you.
• Pray that He will save your children.

And in the evening, read these two Scriptures about how God wants to expand your ministry and bring your blessings to you RIGHT NOW:

Isaiah 60:1-3: “Arise, shine; for your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; but the Lord will arise over you, and His glory will be seen upon you. The Gentiles shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising” (Isaiah 60:1-3 NKJV).

Psalm 102:13: “You will arise and have mercy on Zion; for the time to favor her, yes, the set time, has come” (Psalm 102:13 NKJV).

Jeremiah 33:3: “‘Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know’” (Jeremiah 33:3 NKJV).

And pray for right-now miracles as follows:

• Thank the Lord for His Word, which says that your light has come. Do this even if you don’t feel like your light has come! Remember that His Word is truth, and our feelings are not! 🙂
• Tell the Lord that you submit to His commandment to arise and shine right now.
• Ask Him for help to arise and shine, and to show you how to arise and shine–both personally and in your ministry.
• Thank the Lord that His glory is risen upon you. Ask Him to let His glory shine more brightly on you every day.
• Pray that the Lord would allow His glory to shine through your ministry.
• Ask that He would get all the glory from your ministry.
• Pray that people who don’t know Him–even kings–would see Him in you, and would come to you in order to learn about Him.
• Ask the Lord to arise and have mercy on you, for you are His child, and you are grafted into Israel through Jesus. Therefore, you qualify as being part of “Zion,” and God’s mercy is your portion.
• Point out to the Lord that His Word says that the set time to favor you has come. Thank and praise Him for appointing NOW as your time to receive favor and blessing!
• Ask Him to give you and your ministry favor right now, today–and every day.
• Ask Him to work great miracles on your behalf right now today.
• Call to Him (literally out loud with your voice). Ask Him to answer you, and to show you great and mighty things which you do not know.
• Pray that He would both DO things for you/your ministry that you have never seen or experienced before, AND that He would show you inside information that you would have no way of knowing unless He shows you those things.
• Then give Him all the praise!

Beloved, is your faith on fire?

God’s Word is always true. As Isaiah 40:8 says:

“The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God stands forever” (Isaiah 40:8 NKJV).

Therefore, we know that the set time to favor you really is here because God says it is here. We know that you can arise and shine, for His Word tells you to do so. That’s good news today!
