Decree: You Will Live and Not Die

“I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord” (Psalm 118:17 NKJV).

Friend, do you wonder if you are going to drop dead from all the stress? Are you concerned that maybe you’re going under, done, finished? If so, I decree over you–and I want you to decree over yourself today–that you will LIVE and not die!

You will live and not die, friend. God’s Word promises you this.

Psalm 91 tells us that God will deliver you in trouble, AND that He will give you a long life:

“Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name. He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him, and show him My salvation” (Psalm 91:14-16 NKJV).

I cling to this promise all the time.

On days when your troubles seem more numerous than the solutions; on days when you wonder if the stress will take you out; on days when you cannot fix things yourself, and you desperately need God to intervene … this promise is for you; for me; for all of us.

In this promise, God has promised that when you love Him and call on His name, He will do several things:

• He will deliver you;
• He will set you on high;
• He will answer you;
• He will be with you in trouble;
• He will both deliver you AND honor you, at the same time; and
• With LONG LIFE He will satisfy you; and
• He will show you His salvation.

Interesting tidbit: the word “salvation” here in the Hebrew is actually the name for Jesus. So He is simultaneously saying that He will show you His help in the middle of your problem, AND that He will show you His Jesus–Who is, after all, the Solution to every problem we have. Cool, huh?

Anyway, if you are feeling like you’re going down instead of up, I want you to know today:

You will live and not die.

You will live and not die, and you WILL declare the wonderful works of the Lord. That means you will see what God is going to do for you–what He is doing right now, in fact–and you will testify to others of what He has done for you.

You shall not die, but live, and you will declare the wonderful works of the Lord.

Yes, my friend: with LONG life the Lord will satisfy you and show you His Jesus.

I want you to speak this out loud over yourself today.

You and I and all of us have to continuously speak words of LIFE over ourselves, even on days when we feel the exact opposite. We have to speak LIFE whether we feel hopeful or not, because Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life–and His Word over us is truth.

And as you speak His Word over yourself, it brings life into your body, soul, spirit, and circumstances. Look at what Jesus told us in John 6:63:

“It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life” (John 6:63 NKJV).

And, after all, our words have power:

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit” (Proverbs 18:21 NKJV).

And we WILL reap the fruit of our words:

“A man shall eat well by the fruit of his mouth, but the soul of the unfaithful feeds on violence” (Proverbs 13:2 NKJV).

So let’s do this thing together, shall we?

Friend, if you have been feeling like you’re going down instead of up, decree this over yourself right now out loud:

“I decree that I shall live and not die.

I decree this in the name of Jesus, for greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world. I am filled with the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus, and I am going OVER, and not under.

I am the head and not the tail. I am above only, and not beneath, for I heed the commandments of the Lord my God and I am watchful to do all that He has commanded me this day.

I am the blessed of the Lord. Healing is my portion, and provision is my portion, the Lord rebukes the devourer for my sake today, for I tithe faithfully unto the Lord, and He keeps His promises to me.

I am filled with the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus.

And because the same Spirit Who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in me, vibrance is my portion. Abundant life is my portion, and I receive it today and walk in it fully. Power is my portion, and the power of God flows freely through my veins, through my heart, body, soul, and spirit this day and every day.

My finances are filled with God’s power. My mind is filled with God’s power. God has not given me a spirit of fear, but of POWER, love, and a sound mind.

I walk worthy of the divine calling of God on my life, and I make the most of my time, buying up every opportunity and using it well, in order to steward God’s call on my life.

In the name of Jesus, I decree that I shall live and not die.

I shall live and not die, and today is a good day. I have great expectation toward the Lord, and He is going do great things for me today. He is working miracles on my behalf and parting the waters to make a way for me right now.

Today is a day of abundant power, provision, health, joy, encouragement, and enthusiasm for me, in Jesus’ name. I hunger and thirst for righteousness this day, and I shall be filled. I abide in Jesus and in His love this day, and the Jesus manifests Himself to me.

Jesus came that I may have LIFE, and have it more abundantly.

And so I choose to receive that life today and walk in it. I have joy in my heart, a smile on my face, and great expectation of good things in my heart–and every expectation shall be met; for according to my faith be it unto me, and I believe only for good things!

Let God arise and His enemies be scattered, for life, power, health, and wealth are all mine today in Christ Jesus! Thanks be to God Who gives us the victory, and Who ALWAYS leads me to triumph!

In JESUS’ mighty and precious name it is written, and so it is done!”

Friend, even on the worst days, JESUS is still your Portion.

The God of the universe is still our Refuge and our Fortress; our God, in Whom we will trust. And surely He will still deliver you from the snare of the fowler this day–from anything that would drag you down and keep you from flying high, as you are called to do.

So let the righteous ones rejoice, and let the Lord be magnified. He takes PLEASURE in the prosperity of His servants!
