The fact is that the Promised Land is full of giants–giants which have to be fought and felled.
For example, I can testify from my own life:
Seven years ago, the Lord gave me a baby–a miracle baby. But from the instant he was born through now, we’ve had unreal warfare over his life, with many medical problems and things like that. The enemy doesn’t play fair. Our child is the fulfillment of God’s promise, but we’ve had to fight giants to “occupy” the Promised Land.
The Lord has blessed me to go into this full-time ministry, which is the fulfillment of both my call and my dream. However, it’s not like it’s easy, folks. 🙂 Serving you and ministering to God’s people is worth the price, but the price to pay is far beyond what I ever could have imagined.
The fact is that God will bless your life, but with every blessing comes responsibility and a new set of battles.
Until Jesus returns to make all things new on this earth, we are living in a war, folks.
It’s a big war. It’s a bad war. It’s a war between good and evil. But, the good news is that Jesus has already won all of our warfare. He paid the price on the cross for all who believe on His name to walk in total victory, even though in this world we will have tribulation.
Nevertheless, in order to see His victory manifest on the earth in each of our situations–from the little situations to the big situations–we have to pray.
And we have to pray like never before.
Here are the prayer tips that are helping me right now:
If you want vague answers, pray vague prayers. If you want specific answers, pray specific prayers. And I don’t know about you, but I need specific answers to specific problems.

And with your words, you can still speak those things that are not as if they already were (Romans 4:17)!

So, if you need a specific bill paid by a specific date, hold it up to the Lord and pray for exactly what you need.
If you need help accomplishing a task, ask the Lord for the exact help you need.
If you need something confirmed, arranged, approved, or scheduled, by this afternoon, tell the Lord what you need and ask Him to do it.
We especially need to pray specific prayers when we sense warfare coming against our specific plans, goals, dreams, callings, or desires.
When things aren’t lining up; when communications aren’t going through; when information isn’t forthcoming; when return calls aren’t happening … these can be signs that God isn’t in it, but they (more often) are likely to be simply signs that you are encountering spiritual warfare.
So, when these types of things happen, get aggressive about it. Pray specifically over the obstacles you are facing, and see how God breaks through and turns things around for you.

God said He’d provide all your needs. He said to ask for what you want. How often do we actually do that?
I am praying more aggressively these days because I am praying off a list. I never used to do that. I used to pray just whatever came to mind. But using a list keeps me focused, and seeing the thing written down builds my faith to run with God. Remember Habakkuk 2:
Then the Lord answered me and said:
‘Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it.
For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry'” (Habakkuk 2:2-3).
When you write down a list of what you want, and then pray over that list, it will take your prayer to a whole new level.

3. Write down at least one Scriptural promise to claim for everything you want. Every single thing should have its own Scripture.
If you’re going into battle, you need to be equipped to fight. The weapons of your warfare are not carnal, but they are mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds. And the weapons of your warfare in this case are prayer and THE WORD OF GOD.
The Word of God is what creates. The Word of God is what heals. The Word of God is what brings forth anything that is God’s will. And God’s Word carries creative power when it is spoken out loud. That’s why we have to declare the Word out loud over everything we need, want, and desire.

4. Pray your list and Scriptures often, and pray aggressively.
Sometimes people ask me if it’s okay to pray for the same thing over and over. They wonder if they should just pray once and then thank God. My answer to that: Read Luke 18! Jesus taught that unrelenting, aggressive prayer is what God calls “faith.” THAT’S the kind of prayer that pleases Him.

Yes, sometimes you sense breakthrough when you pray, and you can just feel that your petition has been granted. Once you get to that point, yes, start thanking God. You’ll feel the difference in the spirit realm and you’ll just know that you don’t need to ask anymore. You’ll feel a joy, a peace, and a holy knowing that is a gift from Holy Spirit.
But until you get to that place? Pray, brother. Pray, sister. Pray, pray, pray, and pray some more:
Pray for your finances DAILY. Multiple times a day.
Pray for your spouse or future spouse daily. Multiple times a day.
Pray for your dream daily. Over and over and over.
If you want the keys to divine advancement, know that there’s no such thing as too much prayer.
People in ages past used to wear out their knees with praying. They stained their carpet with their tears and snot from praying. But how does your carpet look? How does mine look? We need to ask ourselves these questions.
There is simply no such thing as too much prayer. Yes, at some point, we have to get off our knees and ACT. But even then, we must keep praying. That’s why the Word of God says to pray without ceasing.
Beloved, if you want to advance in any area of life, right now you must PRAY.
Please, beloved. Assault the throne of God with your prayers. Come boldly to the throne of grace, where you may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. Never cease with your prayers. The warfare is stronger than ever … but Jesus has already defeated the enemy.
And to see that victory manifest on the earth, pray.

My best friend and I just got off the phone about creating a prayer list so that we could pray for each other and stand in agreement for some things that seem impossible in the natural but possible in spiritual realm. The past 2 weeks have been unbearable with warfare. And now that it’s died down a bit I find myself so utterly exhausted and without energy that I’ve felt almost like the fight is hopeless. I’ve been fighting the thought of just giving up in this one constant battle of life. It’s never ending. But your post today encouraged me. Hi Jamie. I had 3 c sections. My aunt old school and let me ate every day 1 teaspoon of condence milk and less than half a teaspoon of turlington (Lennox brand and it is a Hollands type of medicine). Normally at phamacists or supermarkets available
Mix together and ate. Does not taste good but it heals from the inside. After week or 2 you will not feel any pain anymore. Do not mix in advance prepare each day the dose.
Hi Jamie, thank you for sharing about your baby. I will add you and your family to my list. We experiences something similar with the feeding of my second baby. He is now 14 months and doing great. The attacks have been stronger since we started making GOD a priority in our lives but we are not afraid because as you noted, Jeus already won the battles for us.
Thank you Jamie this is totally amazing I have done this before, but it’s been many years….why did I not continue? At the time we were living in a bad area and because the schools were bad, and mounting crime all over, my husband and I made a vow that our son would never go to school there. So I wrote a list of prayer requests and on the list I mentioned a home near a lake out in the country, a white ranch style home with black shutters. I even drew a picture of this home with an old fashioned faucet in the kitchen….to make a long story short we met with a realtor and we went out looking, and looking and by now our son 4 years old was starting to get irritable. But I was sure we were going to find this house…so I said please take us to one more. As we pulled up to the home ….a ranch style, and all the windows had black shutters just as I had sketched on the piece of paper that I kept in my bible
..I could hear my Heavenly Father say …this belongs to you…I began praising God….it was everything I wanted, and more but just like God… fills to overflowing….when we walked inside the home and the precious elderly lady saw our son, it was obvious that she adored him…she gave us the home at a price less than we offered…..Yes, Matthew 19:26, with God all things are possible!
I know the enemy doesn’t play fair at all, but he is a defeated foe. I have a prayer warrior friend who is in the hospital 40 days now, that’s not fair, I have prayed for people and know they believe in healing but they still are not, still under attack, not fair, finances,mental anguish, not fair. We have to pray and stand firm on our holy ground. My prayer is deliver us from evil.
Yes you are so right the crazy things are happening and Thank you for reminding me to pray more aggressively. We take the Kingdom of God with violence. We must warfare for our breakthrough!

To declare and proclaim this is the favorable year of the Lord when He will accomplish things beyond our wildest dreams if we step into our authority as His children and believe He will do the impossible. I bless his body with complete restoration and I bless him with the ability to nurse, digest and recieve the nourishment from the hand of the Father. Hey Jamie this is the exact confirmation that the Holy Spirit has laid on my heart I.e specific prayer agenda with decreeing n declaring valid scripture over those agenda,aggresive n continous prayer over those agenda additional he has asked me to get more people I trust to pray over those same agenda. So it is like many people praying n decreeing at same time over a singular agenda. Wow such a confirmation from the Holy Spirit. Praise the Lord n God bless u the baby n your family
