“I See the Frustration of Your Waiting,” Says the Lord (with Prayer for Grace and Help)

Beloved, are you worn out and discouraged from waiting? Do you feel desperate for breakthrough, and weary from seeing only a little movement, even though you have prayed?

If so, the prophetic word of encouragement below is for you. I also wrote a short sample prayer for God’s help below that, to help you lift up your heart, your cares, and your concerns to the Lord today.

But first, the prophetic word. I heard the Father say:

“I see the frustration of your waiting, My beloved one. And yet, I still have good plans for you–even in this.

For I know what it is like to wait. I see and know how hard it is for you, especially when you do not see the reason why waiting is necessary. However, I want you to know that I am holding you and shielding you in your waiting, and I am giving you the strength you need.

This period of waiting is unto life, not unto death.

I know it feels like you are going to die or crumble under the pressure, but I am actually giving you new life in this season. I am filling you with My patience and helping you to persevere at a level you will need in order to move forward with Me.

For I am taking you into a season of elevation after this long season in which you have humbled yourself so low. You have truly put yourself last, serving everybody else first; and I will reward you for it.

Waiting carries its own reward, My beloved. Do not forget that,” the Lord said.

He went on:

“When you wait on Me, I will lift you up higher and draw you closer to Me. When you wait, I make you strong. And in this season, while you are waiting, I am helping you see things in a whole new light.

For I the Lord am not done with you; I will not tolerate the devourer’s continual attacks on you. And I am showing you the way of escape through long periods spent alone with Me, waiting on Me–but the ideas you are getting are making you stronger than you were before, as well.

I know it is difficult to wait, My beloved one; but I am forming you like a jewel under the pressure of the waiting.

You are becoming like a diamond, forged under the pressure and weight of your circumstances. And I did not say that I inflicted the circumstances on you; only that I am helping you and forming you as you wait on Me, when waiting is necessary.

But I the Lord will not make you wait forever.

There will come a time when breakthrough comes, and it will happen suddenly. For I am God Who sends sudden help.

You will not even know that it is the day of My help before it happens; you will simply be waiting on Me and believing Me, and suddenly it will spring forth. And I am helping you even now, even when you do not know it; I have not left you comfortless, and I am with you in the waiting.

O My beloved, blessed are they who wait for Me.

I know it is difficult, but you must persevere. I know it feels impossible sometimes when you cannot see the light, but these problems are not forever.

Weeping may endure for a night, but joy does come in the morning. I am with you to keep you, and I am with you to bring you out of this mess at the right time.

The steel is forged in the fire. The diamond is formed under pressure. And I am working in you My exceeding weight of glory during this waiting period.

Never forget that, but also remember that My mercy toward you is great–and ever it shall be, for I love you with an everlasting love and am surrounding you with My mercy even today,” says the Lord.

Thank You, Lord God.

Friend, do you need the Lord’s help to wait and be of good courage? If so, pray this:

“Abba Father, I come to You in Jesus’ name.

Holy Father, thank You for Your watchcare over me while I wait on You. I praise You for Your kindness and faithfulness to Me. However, Father, I fully admit that I need Your help to wait right now.

These tests and trials are too much for me without You, without Your help, and without You holding me up. And I know that I do have You; I do have Your help; and I do have You holding me up–but I need more of everything today, Lord.

Abba Father, please multiply Your grace unto me today:

• Let Your grace be sufficient for me, and let Your strength be made perfect in my weakness.
• Help me to continue humbling myself under Your mighty hand, and I pray that You will lift me up in due time.
• Help me to cast all my cares upon You, for You care for me.
• Please send angels and Jesus and Your Holy Spirit to me to comfort me and strengthen me, Abba.
• Show Yourself to me today as my Glory, and the Lifter of my head.
• Please comfort me, for I am weary and discouraged.
• Shine the light of Your presence into my heart and mind, for darkness is threatening to overwhelm me. Fend off the darkness with Your brilliant light, Abba, I pray in Jesus’ name.

Thank You, Abba Father, for Your mercy which endures forever.

And please, Father, in Jesus’ name:

• Please let Your mercies be manifest to me today in whole new ways.
• Cover me and my mind, will, emotions, spirit, soul, and body with the blood of Jesus.
• Please keep me stable and fixed under Your shadow, and hide me in the shadow of Your wings.
• Shield me from the world and help me to hear Your heartbeat there, Lord.
• Help me to be aware only of You, and to set my eyes and keep them set on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.

Thank You, Abba Father. Thank You for Your mercy, Your goodness, and Your faithfulness to me. I give You all the praise and honor and glory. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.”
