Prayer for Recalibration In Your New Season

Do you ever feel like your life has gotten derailed and needs recalibrating? Maybe you’re tired; maybe you’re in a tailspin because of grief; maybe you’re so discouraged that you can’t see light … but, regardless of the reason, do you yearn for God to recalibrate you and set you back on an even path again? If so, this prayer for recalibration in your new season will help you pour out your heart to the Lord, asking Him for just that!

Beloved, sometimes we get off track in life–but Jesus will always help you get back ON track.

If you have given your life to Jesus, making Him your Lord and Savior, then you have access to all that He is and all that He has–including His help and strength. And He will move in power on your behalf anytime you ask Him to, even if you’ve gotten off track and need a major life adjustment!

Look at this beautiful Scripture in Psalm 40:1-3:

“I waited patiently for the Lord; and He inclined to me, and heard my cry. He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my steps.

He has put a new song in my mouth—praise to our God; many will see it and fear, and will trust in the Lord” (Psalm 40:1-3 NKJV).

And another passage from Psalm 34:

“I sought the Lord, and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. They looked to Him and were radiant, and their faces were not ashamed.

This poor man cried out, and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles. The angel of the Lord encamps all around those who fear Him, and delivers them.

Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who trusts in Him!” (Psalm 34:4-8 NKJV).

Beloved, no matter what kind of a pit you’ve been in, the Lord is with you to pull you out of it.

He can pull you out of that funk in a heartbeat, and I know this from personal experience.

Many times, when I’ve been in a funk–feeling totally derailed in mind, body, soul, and spirit–the Lord has completely healed and restored me in only one prayer session alone with Him, pouring my heart out to Him …

… or even in one worship session, sitting with my earbuds in on the floor of a dark hotel room at 2 AM, trying not to wake my family but so desperate for God that I had to seek Him and cry out to Him for help.

No matter where you are, and no matter where you’ve been, God is always with you to make you new.

He is God Who makes all things new, and He is listening eagerly for your cry right now. He loves you so much, and He will help you even right now, in this very moment, if you’ve gotten derailed and you need recalibration!

How do you receive the recalibration that you need?

Well, first you have to ask Him for it. You will need to pour out your heart to Him in candid conversation, holding nothing back and letting Him know how you feel and what you need/want/desire from Him.

But after that, I personally recommend starting with tiny actions–like putting one load of laundry in the wash, or paying one bill, or going for a 5-minute walk even when you think it’s not worthwhile unless you exercise 30 minutes or more. Don’t despise the day of small beginnings! You don’t have to conquer the world all in one day.

When you’re in a funk, sometimes the very best thing you can do is let the Lord minister to you with His gentleness, following His lead while He carefully and tenderly nurses you back to health!

The Lord is the gentlest Physician in the world, and He is ready and willing to minister to you and help you when you’ve gotten off track.

O beloved, I’m sorry if you have gotten off track–but Jesus is with you to recalibrate you right now.

He can fire up your proverbial “motor” again, set your “steering wheel” on the right course, and help you move forward with grace and power.

Do you need Jesus, the Father, and His precious Holy Spirit to recalibrate you today?

If so, pray this prayer for recalibration in your new season:

“Dear Heavenly Father, I come to You in Jesus’ name.

Holy Father, You are so good to me. Thank You for all You have done, and for Who You are. Thank You for Your kindness and mercy toward Me, and thank You for being all that I need in every moment.

Lord God, I know that You are taking me into a new season–but I need a recalibration in order to endure and thrive in that new season.

I want to be the very best that I can be, Father:

• I want to function at optimum levels of strength, creativity, motivation, physical energy, spiritual power, emotional stability, enthusiasm, joy, peace, and every other good thing.
• I want to be more on fire for You than I have ever been before.
• I want to see miracles, signs, and wonders happen in my life, and in the lives of those around me, every single day.
• Most of all, I want to be closer to You than I’ve ever been before–seeing You more clearly and knowing You more intimately than I have ever seen You or known You.
• And Father, I want to see Your dreams for my life come true every day.

But, I need help, Lord. I can’t walk in any of these mighty things unless You help me; for Your Word says that it is “‘Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the Lord!”

O Father God, would You please recalibrate me right now?

• Would You help me reset my priorities, so that I seek You first every single day?
• Would You strengthen me physically, so that I am not too tired to seek You?
• Would You fill me with motivation and inspiration again, so that I can get out of bed in the morning filled with Your dunamis power, eager to face the day and conquer all that needs to be conquered?
• Would You heal and strengthen my body, so that I feel well–and help me to make any changes I need to make in my body, so that I can feel well, whole, and healthy again?
• Would You please help me to rest and get good sleep?
• Would You audit my priorities for me, showing me what needs to go and what needs to stay–and which priorities need to come up higher or go lower in my focus, and in my use of time?

O Heavenly Father, I want so badly to walk in ALL that You have for me.

Whom have I in Heaven but You? No one! You are all that I have, and You are all that I need! And I know that You are dreaming good dreams for me, and that You have good plans and good works for me that You finished from the foundation of the world.

O Father, please recalibrate me and everything about my life so that I can receive all You have for me.

Please help me to set my mind and keep it set on things above, where Christ is. Help me to not be conformed to this world, but to be transformed by the renewing of my mind, so that I can prove out what is Your good and perfect will for my life.

Also, please help me to submit to Your will in all things, and to obey You without hesitation, so that I can be “blessable” at optimum levels. I don’t want to miss out on anything You have for me, Father, but I need Your help to walk worthy of Your high calling.

Father God, in Jesus’ name, please keep me as the apple of Your eye and hide me under the shadow of Your wings.

I need Your help, Father. I’m so hungry for MORE:

• More intimacy with You;
• More power in my life;
• More ability and opportunity to do all You have called me to do;
• More and better relationships;
• More ability to do great works and mighty things for You;
• More of everything good, Lord!

O but Father, only You can make these things happen! Only You can bless me! And I know that You can only bless me at this level if I go to a higher level of obedience to You; a higher place of seeking You; a greater hunger and thirst for righteousness, so that You can fill me up!

O Father, please keep me and bring me into all that You have for me in this season.

Recalibrate me, Father. Start me up anew and afresh, and help me to obey You and follow the leading of Your Holy Spirit at all times.

Thank You, Abba Father. Thank You, Lord Jesus. And thank You, precious Holy Spirit. It is in Jesus’ mighty name I pray, amen and amen.”
