Prayer for Multiple Streams of Income

Would you like to have multiple streams of income? If so, but the idea feels overwhelming to you, have you asked God to help you build out your multiple streams of income? Today’s sample prayer will help you pray over your entrepreneurial efforts if you have not already done so.

First, I want to encourage you in your faith.

Did you know that it’s Biblical to build multiple streams of income?

It sure is. Look at one powerful, clear example in Ecclesiastes 11:1-6:

“Cast your bread upon the waters, for you will find it after many days.

Give a serving to seven, and also to eight, for you do not know what evil will be on the earth.

If the clouds are full of rain, they empty themselves upon the earth; and if a tree falls to the south or the north, in the place where the tree falls, there it shall lie. He who observes the wind will not sow, and he who regards the clouds will not reap.

As you do not know what is the way of the wind, or how the bones grow in the womb of her who is with child, so you do not know the works of God who makes everything.

In the morning sow your seed, and in the evening do not withhold your hand; for you do not know which will prosper, either this or that, or whether both alike will be good” (Ecclesiastes 11:1-6 NKJV).

In the passage above from Ecclesiastes 11:1-6, the Lord tells us to divide a portion to seven AND to eight.

I used to believe this meant we needed eight sources of income apiece. However, upon further study, I now believe this means we each ought to have 15 sources of income! (7 + 8 = 15.)

The passage also states that if you are afraid of circumstances, you’ll never begin building those multiple income streams. You can’t be afraid of circumstances and situations (such as the weather or the economy); you have to sow your seed and not withhold, for you do not know what will prosper–or when!

We could also read more about multiple streams of income in Proverbs 31.

The “Proverbs 31 Woman” demonstrates what “virtue” looks like for men and women alike. The Lord uses her example to show us how He wants us all to run our businesses!

The Proverbs 31 Woman had multiple streams of income galore. She was a manufacturing magnate, a wholesaler, an importer and exporter, a real estate guru, a CEO with multiple employees, an investor, and more. She had many streams of income, and she set them up in layers to maximize her profits!

Friend, YOU can have multiple streams of income as well.

Your streams of income will be unique to you. They will capitalize on your personality, your skills, your training and experience, your creativity, and all the other aspects of your life that make you unique. Your streams of income won’t look like anyone else’s. However, they will be important–and the world is waiting for what you have to offer!

So who can you serve today? Who can you help out by offering them a product or a service? What kind of problem can you solve for someone? Think about that, and then turn the answers to those questions into various streams of income!

You’re going to need God’s help, though.

Whether you have tons of business experience or no business experience, we can do nothing without Jesus. But you can do everything THROUGH Christ, for He strengthens you!

Check out these two encouraging Bible verses:

“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing” (John 15:5 NKJV).

And also:

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13 NKJV).

Friend, you can build multiple streams of income–and you don’t have to have an MBA (Master’s of Business Administration)!

You don’t have to have a university degree at all. All you need is wisdom from the Lord, with all the creativity, insight, perseverance, the humble heart to serve people, and the refusal to quit that He will give you.

You can do this–through Him, in Him, and with His help! So are you ready to pray?

Pray this prayer for multiple streams of income today:

“Dear Heavenly Father, I come before You in Jesus’ name.

Abba Father, thank You so much for being my generous provider. Thank You for teaching us in Your Word how to handle money Your way, for everything I have is really Yours.

I don’t own anything; You own it all. I am merely a steward, and I thank You and praise You for Your goodness and generosity in even allowing me to steward Your belongings.

Father, I want to handle money Your way. I need Your help today to do that.

First, I ask today in Jesus’ name that You will help me believe that I can have multiple streams of income–and that they can prosper. Please help me have faith that this can happen for me, and that somehow You can help me make it happen despite all the stressors and pressures of daily life.

But also, Father … Your Word says to divide a portion to seven, and yes to eight. Your Word teaches us not to ‘put all our eggs in one basket,’ but rather to diversify, for we do not know which thing will prosper or when it will prosper.

Father, would You give me wisdom to obey Your command and diversify my income?

Your Word says that You give me power to get wealth. Therefore, Abba, I ask today in Jesus’ name:

• Please give me ideas from You for what my various streams of income should be.
• Please show me which stream of income I should start building first.
• Give me anointing and impetus to build each stream of income with joy, persistence, and creativity!
• Help me to STICK WITH IT until each stream of income is going, flowing, and prosperous!
• Please give me wisdom to get organized and stay organized, so I can handle the responsibility of having multiple streams of income.
• Please help me to craft the products and services that You desire me to offer in each of my streams of income.
• Give me wisdom to assign fair, profitable prices to each product and service I offer.
• Help me learn all the ins and outs of cash management, sales, marketing, customer service, business, licensing, reporting, and taxation.
• Keep me in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations that govern my business.
• Bring me into contact with the right customers and people, but remove the wrong customers and people from me. Don’t let the wrong people even approach me.
• Bring me only the right contractors, vendors, and employees.
• Help me to manage each business’ money the way You want me to, with no debt.
• Increase my revenue in each of my business streams. Let every income stream You have given me become OUTRAGEOUSLY prosperous!
• Open doors for me that no man could open, and that no man can ever shut!
• Shut doors for me that no man could shut, and that no man can ever open!
• Help me to get started and not get derailed.
• Keep my mouth shut whenever You are brewing something inside of me in silence, so I don’t let my motivation drain out with my words. As I am getting started, please help me to only talk about my businesses when You want me to!
• Please give me perseverance. Help me to know that I will reap in due season, if I do not faint or quit.

Father, I really need Your help to do this. I want multiple streams of income, but I need Your help to actually get there.

Please give me wisdom, wisdom, and more wisdom–more wisdom than I have EVER had before.

You take pleasure in the prosperity of Your people, Father. I am trying to please You, and I want to walk in all the blessings that Your Word promises me. I know that building multiple streams of income is part of that.

So please help me, Lord God of Heaven and earth! As I cling to You, please lead me and guide me into the financial paths of abundance and peace in which You desire for me to walk.

Thank You, Abba Father. I’ll give You all the praise, and all the tithe and offerings!

Help me to be a Kingdom builder with the profits You send, Father. And even before You send profits, help me to tithe and offer unto You, so that everything I do will be consecrated and dedicated to You. You deserve that, and I appreciate You and Your many blessings and benefits.

Father, I humbly confess that I don’t deserve Your blessings or even Your salvation in my own flesh.

But, You have saved me and blessed me by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. Thank You for doing that.

I plead the blood of Jesus over my finances, and over every one of my multiple streams of income. Please bring forth everything that is Your good and perfect will for me–that good and perfect will that Jesus shed His blood for me to walk in.

Thank You, Abba Father. In Jesus’ mighty and precious name I pray, amen.”
